Meanwhile, Hollyoaks​' John Paul McQueen strikes up an unlikely bond with Scott Drinkwell when they both face new setbacks.

John Paul (James Sutton) is about to start dating a new guy called Jake, who seems so keen on him that he even turns up at Hollyoaks High to see him when he's on duty.

While it seems like John Paul could be about to find some happiness, it's not long before his new relationship takes an unwelcome turn - but you'll have to tune in to see what happens.

Scott (Ross Adams) also faces a tough time when he puts on a clown show at The Hutch in a desperate bid to try new things at the struggling business. As ever for hapless Scott, it all goes horribly wrong - especially when Myra McQueen slips over and ends up injured thanks to him.

After being left humiliated by the whole experience, Scott seeks a shoulder to cry on in the form of John Paul as they bond about their respective families.

John Paul promises to help Scott have a healthier view on relationships and it seems like the former enemies are finally becoming friends, but will it go further?

Monday

Leela and Cameron pack up Ste's possessions following the cocaine incident. Cameron is suspicious about why Tegan is defending Ste. He overhears her talking about the drugs and decides to find out the truth.

Tegan returns home and it looks like they've been burgled. Cameron confronts her while holding a bag of white powder, but what is she hiding?

Meanwhile, Tony and Diane are increasingly worried about the fate of The Hutch. Diane hopes they'll be okay after Tony's meeting with a financial advisor, unaware that he's actually speaking to Darren about a bet. Diane confides in Marnie that she wishes they'd accepted her offer to buy the restaurant.

Just as they're discussing it further, Tony turns up and tells Diane they've got enough money to save the business. However, Marnie is suspicious and looks through Tony's phone, spotting all the calls to Darren. Tony tells Diane about his new idea to put a pop-up restaurant in the City Wall now they have more money to invest, but Darren is worried about Patrick's body being discovered.

Elsewhere, John Paul gets home after a very successful date with 'Jake'. Mrs St Claire is upset that he'd lied to her about being ill and asks him to work during lunch instead of seeing his new man. John Paul is stunned when Harry reveals that he and Ste have been thrown out of the Lomax house. He lets them stay at the McQueens' for a couple of days and is surprised when Jake turns up at the school.

Later, Ste and Harry walk into the McQueens' to find Myra and Diego in a compromising position…


Tuesday

John Paul tries to avoid Mrs St Claire, thinking she's got a crush on him. Louis believes it too when Mrs St Claire invites John Paul to go to a headteacher's conference on her behalf.

Later, John Paul confronts Mrs St Claire about the special treatment she's giving him, but he upsets her and she sends him home. Myra is furious and storms over to the school to confront Mrs St Claire.

At the same time, Myra panics when Diego gets his hands on some of Nana's photo albums. Thinking Myra is 38, he's confused by some of the pictures.

Meanwhile, Tony is keen to collect the winnings, but Darren is trying to delay things so that Tony won't have the money for his new business venture. James spies on Darren and finds out about Tony's bet, while Marnie puts doubt in Diane's mind about where Tony got the money. Later, Darren is startled to find James sitting in his office chair, but James has a plan...

Elsewhere, Scott frightens Esther while dressed as Skittles the Clown and she slaps him. Scott arrives at The Hutch flanked by Esther and a mob of parents with children for his clown show, which goes spectacularly wrong and Myra ends up injured when she slips over.

Also today, Alfie continues to hide the fact that his cancer has returned as he goes with Jade to her last chemo session. He brushes some hair from her face, but it falls out in his hand. Jade is mortified and locks herself in the bathroom.


Wednesday

John Paul and Scott have a heart-to-heart about their families. John Paul promises to help him have a healthier view of relationships.

Meanwhile, Diego is shopping with Matthew-Jesus and panics when the toddler walks off.

Elsewhere, Alfie convinces Jade to open the door and tells her he wants everyone to know they're together. Jade asks Lisa to help her look nice for her date tonight.

Later, Alfie is waiting for his hospital appointment. He lies to the doctor that his family has norovirus and she tells him to make an appointment for a biopsy when his dad is feeling better. Jade is waiting at The Hutch for Alfie when she gets a text: "I don't want to hurt you, Jade. But I just can't do this. I'm so sorry."


Thursday

Jack and Tom comfort Jade. Alfie is stunned when Tom flies at him at school looking for a fight, and Mrs St Claire has to intervene.

Later, Alfie tells Jack that he loves Jade. He and Jade decide to shave their heads together. Alfie then tells Jade that his cancer is back, but Jack and Rachel have overheard.

Meanwhile, Myra suggests that John Paul should quit his job before Mrs St Claire sacks him, so he hands in his resignation.

Elsewhere, suspicious Diego follows Myra when she tells him that she's going to a yoga class and sees her going into the hospital. He thinks she's pregnant, but is there another explanation?

Also today, Simone is still cold with Joanne after finding out that she slept with Zack. She finds one of Lisa's old toys and the fake Lisa panics when she fails to recognise it. Joanne tells Lisa that she's going to tell Simone the truth about who she really is.


Friday

​Rachel offers to go to the hospital with Alfie for his biopsy but urges him to tell Mac or Nathan.

Alfie speaks to Nathan, but how much will he reveal?

Meanwhile, Lisa is planning to run away, but Zack doesn't want her to give up on them. He meets Joanne at school, where she's waiting to tell Louis the truth. He guides her to a classroom, where Lisa locks her in. Lisa begs Joanne to keep quiet but is stunned to discover what else Joanne has been keeping to herself.

Elsewhere, Diego tells Ste and Harry to clean the house. However, they get distracted half way through and start kissing, unaware they've knocked one of Myra's favourite ornaments off the side board.
