Hannah tests positive to having the cancer gene. Billie realises Kyle's planning to burn down Angelo's. Matt and Maddy make peace.

Tue 8th March

Hannah is faced with a life changing decision. Kyle attempts to protect Isla, with disastrous results. Roo issues Maddy and Matt with an ultimatum.

Wed 9th March

Ricky holds grave fears for a missing Kyle. Dave threatens the lives of Kyle and Isla. The Summer Bay house is vandalised in response to Zac's charges.

Thu 10th March

Summer Bay turns on Leah and her family. Kat lets down her guard with Dylan. Ash and Andy face a devastating setback. Olivia's suspicions about Claire deepen when Claire takes money from Irene.

Okay so does that indicate that my number 1 suspect Zac is charged with Charlotte's murder?
I mean when Charlotte looked up at her killer and said "What are you doing here?" I felt her level of scarcasm was aimed at someone she least expected to see...someone like Zac whom she thought would be off celebrating his wedding to Leah. If anyone else fronted her I don't think it would be a surprise becasue she had pissed a few people off..but Zac...she wouldn't have expected him at all and therefore her comment would make sense.
Of course nothing is ever straight forward so.....my theory maybe not even close.

AUST PACE! SPOILER ALERT!

Yes, Zac will be charged &, as the previous spoilers mentioned, he will be denied bail & Morag will be back to represent him. After Tuesday's episode (in Sydney) we saw a promo of what is coming up soon which included scenes with Morag & Detective Dylan & also someone being lead into court in handcuffs - you don't see his head, but no doubt it is Zac. However, I don't believe Zac actually killed her. I think that he might have seen something that night, when he went looking for the twins (did he see what actually happened? or the aftermath? will he cover for someone? etc.), just like we saw Irene confess to the police that she had an earlier run-in with Charlotte when out walking, & that is how she ripped her jacket (I think we may find out soon that Kyle also had some kind of earlier "confrontation" with her & that is how he already had the cut on his cheek when he saw Oscar throwing the chairs around outside the Surf club, which was before the scene when Charlotte was killed). As was mentioned in the interview that Ada (Leah) had at the start of this year (see the Home and Away Spoilers 2016 thread), "A character will be wrongly arrested" & "upcoming scenes will see the finger pointed at an innocent resident" & also "There's a whole lot of suspects. One week you think it is one person, the next week you think it is another. It takes a long time & people get wrongly accused. Someone gets taken to jail who didn't actually do it". We have seen in recent weeks Hunter, Irene & Ash all interviewed/accused. Dylan & Kat dismissed Irene & Hunter "they are not the right fit", & Kat proved Ash was innocent - he was locked up for a very short time, but I don't think he is the one being talked about when they say someone gets taken to jail who didn't actually do it. I may well be wrong here, as you say, nothing is ever straight forward, but I will just be very surprised if it is Zac. For what it is worth, Charlie (Zac) said on morning TV a couple of days before last years finale that he had just signed a new contract. There were 3-4 of the cast discussing who the killer may be & he could have just said that to put people off the scent - who knows!

Just on the promo we saw earlier this week, they also showed some upcoming scenes with Kyle & Isla, but we also saw Zac running along with Leah also running behind him. He appeared to be on the phone (ambulance?) while in the foreground there is some small "debris" on the ground including what looks like a gas bottle(?) & a small piece of wood/metal on fire. The next scene I think is in Alf's house, with everyone dressed up (for Nate & Ricky's possible wedding??) - Hannah, Chris & Zac on the left & Leah on the right. In the middle is Josh & Evie. Evie collapses into Josh's arms/to the floor while the others rush over to her. I have seen someone mention it may have to do with her cancer scare, but she finds out her results in the next episode this coming Monday, whilst these upcoming promo scenes won't be on for at least a few weeks I would imagine. Has she just been told some bad news? Is it possible that Oscar has been in some kind of explosion? - rather than the rumoured car crash? Is this also how part of Maddy's arm is blown off?? Just another theory!

There is just one tiny pesky detail that you might have overlooked though. As far as I know the actor who plays Zak isn`t leaving the show. Whoever killed Charlotte will be going to jail for a long time, so it could be a minor character who killed Charlotte or someone we know is leaving anyway.
Unless the actor who plays Zak really is leaving and has hidden it from the press until the reveal. After all, we know the writers don`t like Leah to be happy or lucky in love.

There is one character who I have thought may be the murderer, but as there hasn't been any indication up to now that this character could be leaving the show, I thought that this was just wishful thinking on my part. But given the article I have just posted in the General section (re Ada & a "former" castmate), maybe there is some truth to it.

SPOILER ALERT! for those not in Aust

Like many, I initially thought that like previous years finales when we thought possibly a main character would die only for it not to happen (The hospital explosion in 2013, where only guest character Ethan died, & 2014 the bus crash "Who will die?", & it was just the bus driver), that this year would be the same, & again it wouldn't be a main character or it would be someone we knew for sure is leaving.

As mentioned in an earlier discussion in the General thread, Ch7 put out an 'investigation app' over summer & TV Week etc have gone thru a list of the 10 main suspects. If it turns out that it is not one of these main 10 people, what other possibilities are there? The only other theories I can see are that Brax or Gunno (or his henchmen) did it, or it was suicide. When Kat told Zac, Leah & Alf that Charlotte was dead, Alf asked if she took her own life, but Kat said no, she was shot - this would seem to rule out suicide. I think we can safely say now that it wasn't Brax (& as Ricky didn't go on the run with him this time, if/when he does return eventually for them to leave together, I assume that he would have been cleared/is a free man etc?). It can't be Gunno himself, because he was at the time, & still is, in jail (I think they would have made a big deal out of it by now if he had escaped). If it was one of his henchmen, it would make a mockery of all the promos saying "one of your favourites is a murderer", "they all had a motive, but one of them did it" or the latest "it is someone everyone knows really well".

So, from the list of 10 main suspects i.e. Kyle, Hunter, Olivia, Andy, Irene, Leah, Oscar, Ash, Evie & Zac (Josh has also been mentioned, but I will leave him out because the Ch7 app cleared him), what do we know/think?

As I mentioned in another post, recently Kat & Dylan discounted both Irene & Hunter & then Ash was cleared. We know that Olivia, Leah & Evie are not leaving + I don't think anyone really thinks it could be one of them. If we assume that Zac didn't do it & he is the one "wrongly accused" (+ I don't believe he is leaving the show), that only leaves Oscar, Kyle & Andy.

With Oscar, we know of the rumours he may have left (possibly killed off). If it was him, he has been playing it pretty cool lately for a young guy who may have had that preying on their conscience - helping Skye etc, & I don't see him letting Zac be locked up & go to trial for him (& this has already been done previously where he came forward after Zac was going to take the blame for him for hitting Tamara with the car).

With Kyle, the spoilers & promos show that he will probably be the next to be accused by the police ie they find out Charlotte phoned him a little while before she died & I think they actually say they find her phone at his place, behind the fridge(?). I think we will find out that he had a run-in with Charlotte earlier that night & that is how he had the cut on his face when he saw Oscar throwing chairs outside the surf club, which was before the scenes when she was shot. Did he go back later to finish her off? Possibly. With the promos of him with Isla & the scene where it looks like he/they get arrested, I assume that this will be the lead up to him leaving the show. Will it turn out that apart from the stuff with Isla, that he also killed Charlotte? Quite possibly, but IMO unlikely.

So that only leaves Andy, who has been my prime suspect. He was looking for Charlotte (as was Kyle), because she could expose that he killed Pirovic. He had the kissing scene with Evie, & then we saw him back at the Braxton house washing his face (in a panic?). Most people have assumed it was because he was flustered after kissing Evie, but we saw in early scenes this year that Evie told Hannah they (Andy/Evie) met up again soon after the kiss & realised straight away it was a mistake etc. Could him washing his face with a worried look be because he killed Charlotte? He had a BIG motive, & he would have been big enough to "wrestle" or take the gun off Charlotte if there was a struggle etc. (Plus of course he also lives at the Braxton house & he could possibly have got hold of Charlotte's phone & thrown it behind the fridge in panic - rather than Kyle?). With the other secrets that he has been carrying around (killing Pirovic + knowing Hunter burnt down Leah's house), we know that he can keep these type of things to himself without it (outwardly) bothering him. Just saying.

Just another theory, which may be way off the mark (again!). We will see.

Good theory, Pantherboy!

Charlotte hasn't even been killed at UK pace so I'm not clued up on the details, but I'm wondering if the police could have made a mistake in clearing Hunter? I think he's capable of killing given some of his past transgressions (even though he appears to have been redeemed recently). Plus I'm guessing he must have been very upset at his mother's death, so that would hide any other dark emotions such a guilt that might be troubling him.

I know he probably isn't leaving but the H&A team might be trying to surprise us. This theory is probably highly unlikely, but it's what I'm hoping for because Hunter is my least favourite character of the suspects!

Monday 7th

- Hannah faces an anxious wait for her test results.

Tuesday 8th

- Chris & Hannah face a crossroads in their relationship.
- Roo issues Maddy & Matt with an ultimatum.
- Kyle feels guilty about the situation he has put Isla in.

Wednesday 9th

- Ricky begins panicking when she realises that Kyle didn't return home overnight.
- Leah struggles to cope with Zac's situation.
- VJ & Hunter find the caravan park vandalised in response to Zac's charges.

Thursday 10th

- Summer Bay residents turn on Leah and her family.
- Skye opens up to Olivia about her feelings for Oscar.
- Olivia & Roo are suspicious of Claire. What is she hiding? And, is she exploiting Irene?



I have seen it mentioned/speculated elsewhere that Kyle's storyline with Isla & his "past catching up with him" is to do with the gambling debt problem/story he had the time he went to Melbourne (which resulted in him being beaten up & then of course having the kidney transplant).
