Stacey Branning's big secret will finally be exposed on EastEnders later this month, as Martin Fowler discovers that he is not Arthur's biological dad.

Martin (James Bye) has faced a very challenging time over the last few weeks, but the devastating truth will come just as his luck appears to be changing at last.

Things will finally start to look up for the pair when Stacey is offered a place on a mother and baby unit. However, just before she leaves the hospital, the vulnerable mum ponders over a letter she has written to Martin, in which she states that the family would be better off without her.

After some supportive words from her doctor, Stacey decides not to post the letter after all, but the decision is soon taken out of her hands when a nurse gives it to Martin anyway.

Back at home, Martin gets the shock of his life when he reads what Stacey has written - Arthur isn't his son!

With the truth out, Martin later arrives at Stacey's hospital with Arthur, but how will he react to learning that Kush is the dad?

Monday

After an upsetting visit to Stacey, Martin manages to find her a mother and baby unit with help from Sonia. Back at the hospital, Stacey considers the letter she wrote to Martin, which claimed that her family would be better off without her. She decides not to post it following some advice from the doctor.

However, when Martin returns to share the good news about the mother and baby unit with Stacey, a nurse gives him the letter - wrongly assuming that Stacey dropped it. Back at home, Martin can't resist reading the letter. He gets the shock of his life when he reads what Stacey has written - Arthur isn't his son.

Meanwhile, Sonia is touched when Tina looks after Lily and Bex.

Elsewhere, Kush struggles to carry on as normal and finds himself drinking in The Albert. Sharon opens up to Kush about Phil, telling him that Martin is a stronger man than her husband. With her words resonating, Kush decides to stop drinking and pulls himself together.


Tuesday

Martin is in shock following his discovery and soon arrives at the hospital with Arthur.

It doesn't take long for Stacey to realise that all is not well, forcing Martin to produce the letter. Stacey is horrified to realise that the truth is out...

Meanwhile, Claudette and Kim both have very different plans for Pearl's first birthday party. Both women up their game when they each interfere with each other's plans. Later on, Claudette is surprised when her foster son Linford arrives. Although pleased to see him, Claudette is suspicious of why he is really there and he later comes clean.

Later, not wanting Claudette to steal the limelight at Pearl's birthday, Kim seeks attention and gets on the bouncy castle. A spiteful Claudette gets revenge and secretly stabs the bouncy castle, but Denise oversees.

Elsewhere, as Gavin lingers in the Square, he makes a phone call to a familiar face.

Also today, things become awkward between Abi and Ben. After confiding in Jay, Ben comes clean to Abi - he thinks he has an STD.


Thursday

Abi is furious over Ben's bombshell and demands to know who he slept with. Ben urges her come with him to the clinic so they can check on both her and the baby. With a supportive Abi waiting outside, Ben tells the doctor what happened and is told that he needs to be tested. Ben then breaks the news to Abi, but they'll have to wait a few days for the results.

Back home, the young couple find Jay and Linzi kissing on the sofa, making Abi jealous of their normal relationship. At The Vic, Abi tells Babe what's happened and how it means she and Ben are being forced to abstain from sleeping together. This leads Babe to make her most shocking suggestion yet...

Meanwhile, the Beales receive an amazing offer on the restaurant but are taken back when they learn who it's from.

Elsewhere, Whitney helps Babe in the kitchen at The Vic. Babe brings up Whitney kissing Mick on New Year's Day, but Whitney unknowingly puts her foot in it and brings up the second kiss. Babe warns Whitney to tell Lee or else she will.


Friday

Nancy gets upset when Mick surprises Lee with a brand new car.

Later, Lee's mood turns sour when Whitney finally comes clean about kissing Mick. How will he react?

Meanwhile, Babe receives a suspicious package. What is she up to? Later, Abi finds herself being pulled in by Babe to help with Paul's birthday party. However, Babe seems to have other ideas in mind…

Elsewhere, Jane and Kathy are heartbroken for Ian when the restaurant is nominated for a top award, but he still insists on selling. After some persuasion from Kathy, Jane comes up with an idea to change Ian's mind but will her plan work?

Also today, Dot decides to go and visit Stacey and the pair have a heart-to-heart over everything that happened. Stacey opens up to Dot, but Dot quickly puts her fears to rest.

If something so sordid were to happen (and I don't think I'd put anything past Babe), it would make more sense to do it to the already half-cut Phil. Then there would be little chance of any resulting offspring looking nothing like Ben. :p
