I`ve asked this question a few times on various websites, but no one has answered.
Is the writer Debbie Oates related to Kate Oates the soon to be producer?

Poor izzy. People getting angry about this are acting as though she's smoking weed to get off and have a good time from it. She's in a serious amount of unnecessary pain and is taking cannibas oil. Nothing wrong with that and it shouldn't be illegal for people like her in pain.
Monday (1)
Phelan drops his van into the garage, so Kevin offers to fix it for free as an apology for Anna's behaviour. Phelan then finds Anna alone in the café. He sits down at a table and stares at her, making Anna feel uneasy. Turning the café sign to 'closed', Phelan threatens Anna and demands that she makes a public apology to restore his good name.
Pinning Anna against a wall, Phelan tells her that he can have her any time he wants. Anna is scared witless when suddenly they're interrupted by the arrival of Kevin. What has he heard?

Meanwhile, Michelle and Johnny are upset to hear Carla and Nick's plans to move away. Gail is then hurt to find out from Michelle. Nick also breaks the news to Robert, Steph and Andy that he plans to sell the Bistro. Tracy feigns surprise at the news. With Tracy egging him on, Robert tells Nick that he'd like first refusal to buy the Bistro. Will Nick agree?
Elsewhere, Tim starts at Street Cars, but it's soon clear that he knows nothing about the business and his only interest lies in the biscuit tin. Eileen and Michael are unimpressed.
Also, Cathy is furious with herself to realise that she switched off the fridge and freezer in the café and all the food is wasted.
Finally, Steph is unimpressed to discover that she has to work on her 21st birthday because Andy forgot to book the evening off, while Rana calls in the Bistro and flirts with Zeedan after pulling a sickie at work.
Monday (2)
Kevin demands to know what's going on between Anna and Phelan. Phelan paints on a smile and makes out that he called in the café with the intention of burying the hatchet with Anna. Anna is appalled at his barefaced lies, while Kevin finally sees Phelan for the bully that he is. Kevin apologises to Anna for disbelieving her and suggests they try again, but will Anna agree?
Later, Kevin confronts Phelan and accuses him of threatening Anna. As the two men square up to each other, Tim steps in to prevent a fight. Eileen and Jason take Phelan's side, while Michael isn't sure what to think. Kevin vows to get to the truth about Phelan and Anna's past. With an evil smile, Phelan wishes him luck...
Meanwhile, Nick tells Leanne that he's selling his share of the Bistro and looking for a buyer. Robert and Tracy are disappointed to discover they can only get a loan for £90,000, leaving them £10,000 short of Nick's asking price. Robert makes Nick an offer of £90,000 for the Bistro. Giving Carla a threatening look, Tracy tells her to make sure Nick accepts the offer.
Elsewhere, when Norris and Sally score political points off each other across the pub, Liz threatens to bar the pair of them.
Also, Leanne calls on Ken and Simon, keen to hear about their trip to Portsmouth. Will Simon thaw towards Leanne?
Finally, Steph is unimpressed when wind-up merchant Andy suggests they could get fish and chips after work to celebrate her birthday, while Zeedan is pleased to hear that Rana has applied for a job at the medical centre.
Wednesday
Carla leans on Nick to accept Robert's offer of £90,000. Nick promises her that he'll accept it - if he doesn't receive a better offer by the end of the week.
Carla collars Tracy and tells her that provided nobody makes a better offer, the Bistro will be Robert's by the end of the week. Tracy smirks.
Meanwhile, Izzy has run out of cannabis and is clearly in pain, so she asks Erica to order her some more. She's disappointed when Erica explains that her supplier friend has moved back to Spain. At Erica's suggestion, Izzy heads into town to a grotty pub and scores some dope. At home, Izzy pulls out the bag of cannabis, only to discover that she's been duped into buying oregano. Izzy breaks down in tears, overcome with pain.
Elsewhere, Jason is excited to hear that the new Freshco superstore has been green lit, hopeful he might get some building work. In an attempt to win his vote, Sally makes out that she's all for it too. But when Cathy moans about the plans for the new supermarket, worried it'll put local shops out of business, Sally assures her that she's dead against the plans. Will the residents discover that Sally has been altering her political stance according to her audience?
Also today, when Sharif finds a syringe in the gym changing room, Gary suggests they need to get a Sharps bin installed.
Finally, Steph confides in Leanne about how much she's dreading Jamie's trial, while Rana calls in the Bistro and tells Alya and Zeedan that her interview at the medical centre went well.
Friday (1)
Leanne confides in Ken about how she wishes she could afford to buy the Bistro and give Simon a secure future. With Tracy only excited about the prospect of owning the Bistro and spending the money, Ken realises with a heavy heart that Tracy hasn't given a thought to Amy's future. Ken tells Leanne that he is prepared to release Simon's trust money from Deirdre so that in conjunction with a bank loan, she can buy the Bistro.
As Nick accepts Robert's offer for the Bistro and suggests they have contracts drawn up as soon as possible, Carla is relieved. Robert and Tracy celebrate, but Leanne arrives with Ken in tow and announces that she'd like to match their offer of £90,000. Carla is shocked and Tracy throws her a warning look.
Meanwhile, dropping Jake at the gym with Gary, Izzy throws a sickie and returns to the pub to confront the lad who sold her the oregano. Fighting back the pain, Izzy begs the lad to give her the cannabis she paid for. When he refuses, Izzy threatens to call the police but the lad knocks her phone out of her hand. Izzy is terrified.

Elsewhere, Richie O'Driscoll calls in the factory and tells Aidan that if he can meet his requirements, he'll place a huge order with Underworld. Aidan is delighted and announces to the factory girls that they're on the brink of closing a huge deal, which would secure their jobs for the rest of the year.
Also, Sinead is nervous as she heads off to another modelling gig. Beth assures her that she looks fabulous, while Chesney covers his insecurities.
Finally, Rana flirts with Zeedan, telling him that she's flat hunting as she'll need something local if she gets the job at the medical centre.
Friday (2)
As Tracy demands to know where Leanne got the money from, she is incandescent to learn that it's from Ken, pointing out that he refused to let her have Amy's trust money. Downbeat Robert reckons Nick will almost certainly sell the Bistro to Leanne given their history.
Nick continues to deliberate the offers on the table, preferring to sell to Leanne but also aware how important Robert is to the business. Tracy calls on Carla and blackmails her, demanding that she comes up with an extra £10,000 so she can trump Leanne's offer - or Nick finds out the truth.
Meanwhile, the frightening lad makes a grab for Izzy's bag, but he is distracted when a fight breaks out and Izzy makes her escape. Having called Gary, he finds Izzy scared and wracked with pain. When she admits that she was trying to buy some cannabis, Gary is shocked. Izzy opens up to Gary and explains that some days she can't cope with the pain and cannabis is the only answer. How will Gary react?
Elsewhere, when Aidan postpones a smaller order to make way for the O'Driscoll one, Johnny warns him that by upsetting old clients he's playing a dangerous game. At the same time, having found Marta lurking near the factory and in a terrible state, Eva takes her home and persuades Leanne to let her stay the night.
Also, Gail is pleased to bump into Michael at the gym open day and enjoys showing him the ropes.
Finally, Sinead assures Chesney that she's doing the modelling for both of them to give them a better future, Steph is disappointed that Jamie only got a 3-year sentence and will be out in the blink of an eye, while Alya and Rana head out to celebrate Rana's new job.

Will the residents discover that Sally has been altering her political stance according to her audience?
That's the first thing she's done that actually accords with reality. :rotfl:
Coronation Street's Sally will play a new political game... and it involves changing her mind a lot
Sally Webster will play a rather dangerous game on Coronation Street next week as she takes on opposing political stances in order to keep all the Weatherfield residents on side.
Sally's ongoing political campaign might be driving her friends and family mad, but it will take an amusing turn when a new superstore divides the street.
After scoring political points off Norris in the pub and nearly getting barred in the process, Sally (Sally Dynevor) will stop at nothing in her quest to win everyone's vote.
When Jason reveals his excitement to hear the news of the Freshco superstore, Sally makes out that she's all for it too.
Keen to be all things to all people, Sally has a very different opinion on the superstore when it comes to a conversation with Cathy. When Cathy moans about the plans for the new supermarket, Sally assures her that she is dead against them.
With Sally changing her political view every five minutes, it's anyone's guess as to what she will say next.
As ever in Weatherfield, it won't be long until the residents start talking and put two and two together and realise that Sally has been altering her political stance according to her audience. Could Sally's little white lies affect her chances?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, February 22 and Wednesday, February 24 on ITV.

Now to my mind, this is the whole problem with the story. Either way, the number of votes she can pick up in the Rovers and around Coronation Street is minute compared to the number of votes she would need. There is nothing about her getting out into the wider area and leafletting or canvassing etc. It's barmy!
