There's no clearer sign that awards season is upon us than the Oscar nominations, which have just been announced live from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Directors Guillermo del Toro and Ang Lee, actor John Krasinski and Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs took to the stage to reveal who was loved and who has been snubbed from the last year of cinema.

I haven't seen Bridge of Spies but Mark Rylance was wonderful in Wolf Hall so I'm glad he won.
