Monday

The ongoing feud between the Mitchells and Hubbards escalates following an incident in the Square involving Kim and Pearl. Sharon and Kim are forced to step in and take matters into their own hands.

Later, Vincent and Phil realise they've been set up and it might be best to end their war for the sake of their families. However, despite a desperate plea from Sharon, Phil takes some drastic action to destroy Vincent and the Hubbards...

Meanwhile, Jane invites Ben and the Mitchells over for Christmas dinner, wanting to make the occasion as special as possible for Kathy. Phil isn't pleased with the suggestion, so Ben continues to drift apart from his dad and tells him that he'll just go alone with Abi.

Feeling under fresh pressure, Phil takes a bottle of scotch from the Minute Mart, causing Shirley to give him some harsh words of advice. Also growing more frustrated at Phil, Sharon agrees to go to the Beales' for Christmas too!

Elsewhere, Stacey and Kush prepare to tell Martin and Shabnam the truth about the baby, but everything changes when Shabnam receives some upsetting news. Kush has a change of heart as a result, but will he be able to stop Stacey from revealing all?

Also today, Linda comes up with a plan to help bring Mick and Shirley back together.

Finally, Dean, Shirley and Buster welcome Jade to the family.

Tuesday

Vincent and Kim are both furious as they struggle to come to terms with Phil's latest act.

As the terrifying situation continues to escalate, Vincent and a drunken Phil clash again - forcing truths and secrets to come to light. Just how far will Vincent go to protect his family?

Meanwhile, Shabnam may finally be growing suspicious over Kush when she starts to feel distant from him and seeks advice from Masood. There's also tension between Kush and Stacey, after he tells her that he didn't come clean with Shabnam after all. When Martin spots their exchange, Kush is forced to cover and reveal Shabnam's upsetting news.

Later at the nativity rehearsals, Shabnam is taken aback when she realises that Stacey and Martin already know her news. Irritated by Stacey's interference, Shabnam tells her to back off and the two friends argue.

Elsewhere, Shirley takes Jade to visit Father Christmas at The Vic but is shocked when she realises that it's Mick. A reluctant Shirley is touched by Mick and Jade's meeting when she finally lets it go ahead, but it's clear that there's still a long way for her and Mick to go.

Thursday

Christmas Eve has arrived on Albert Square. Stacey has been sent home from the hospital after yesterday's events, but she keeps busy by preparing for Lily's role in the nativity play. Even though her contractions are building, Stacey goes to watch her daughter perform.

As the play gets under way, Stacey goes into labour and gives birth. The new arrival is celebrated by most, but one resident starts to put two and two together - coming to a shocking realisation...

Meanwhile, the feud between the Hubbards and the Mitchells has now reached dangerous levels, so Ronnie tries one last time to put a stop to it. When her efforts don't go according to plan, Ronnie finds herself forced to choose a side and end things once and for all. Ronnie takes drastic action after choosing her side, but which family has she picked and who will be the casualty?

Elsewhere, Billy is touched by Janet's incredible performance in the nativity play. He goes to propose to Honey at The Vic, but is interrupted when Tina shares the news about Stacey's baby.

Also today, Sharon and Jane clash over Bobby's recent behaviour. Fearing that Bobby could seriously harm someone again, Sharon drops a bombshell which threatens to tear the Beale family apart.

Christmas Day episode

Hour-long episode

It's Christmas Day on Albert Square, but for one resident it will be their last. As shocking truths come to light, families go to extreme measures to protect those they love - forcing residents to turn on one another.

With families at war, it's not long before people get caught in the crossfire, leading to devastating consequences which will change the Square forever...

The Beales' day gets off to a positive start when an upbeat Ian presents Jane with a new car. However, the mood turns sour when Jane reveals some worrying news which could tear their family apart.

Later, the Mitchells and Beales sit down for Christmas dinner, but tensions are running high as Jane and Ian are still desperate to protect Bobby, while Sharon is determined to keep her own family safe. The two families find themselves at each other's throats as a result, which threatens to destroy relationships forever.

As the tensions mount, everyone is oblivious to the fact that the hostilities between Bobby and Dennis are increasing at an alarming speed. This triggers off a series of incidents which leave lives hanging in the balance...

Meanwhile, Stacey returns home following the birth of her son, but Kush and Carmel notice that Shabnam is distracted and fear that she knows the truth. Shabnam eventually confronts Stacey, but what does she know and will Stacey come clean? Later, Stacey receives a surprise visit from Kat.

Elsewhere, Ronnie tries to enjoy Christmas Day and put the recent Mitchell-Hubbard feud behind her. However, her day is thrown into panic when she learns some alarming news, with disastrous consequences.

Also today, Dean surprises Roxy with an engagement ring and a new flat away from the Square. However, Dean's day takes a turn for the worst when Shirley, Buster and Jade all head over to The Vic, claiming they're just going for a drink.

Finally, Mick surprises Linda and Shirley with some touching presents, while Dot decides to scatter Jim's ashes in the Square.

Boxing Day

Christmas Day continues on Albert Square, but lives are still hanging in the balance.

Meanwhile, Dean is furious when he realises that Buster, Shirley and Jade have already eaten with the Carters. He snaps at his mum, who argues back and returns to The Vic in a bad mood. When Roxy later arrives, the pressure becomes too much for Dean and he has an angry outburst, accidentally injuring Roxy in the process. Roxy storms out and leaves, but can Dean convince her to change her mind?

Elsewhere, Kat tells Martin and Lily that Alfie and the kids are still in Spain. However, Kat gets a shock when Alfie later arrives and asks her why she left Spain.

Sounds a great week of episodes! I'm going to pick up on the hints, which are...

Bobby could seriously harm someone again

...it's not long before people get caught in the crossfire

As the tensions mount, everyone is oblivious to the fact that the hostilities between Bobby and Dennis are increasing at an alarming speed. This triggers off a series of incidents which leave lives hanging in the balance...

...and go out on a limb and say that some how Bobby ends up with the gun we know is on the square (probably why Ronnie learns some alarming news) and shoots Dennis?

EastEnders will air some moving scenes on Christmas Day as Dot Branning pays a tribute to her late husband Jim.

Jim's loved ones learned that he had passed away in his nursing home earlier this year. They later paid their respects to him in a touching funeral service.

The storyline was a tribute to John Bardon who played him, after he passed away in September 2014 at the age of 75.

A touching moment in the show's hour-long Christmas Day episode will see Dot say a final goodbye to her husband.

With the help of her close friends and family, Dot decides to scatter Jim's ashes in the Square.

Bardon played Jim Branning on the show between 1996 and 2011. An episode of EastEnders was dedicated to Bardon on September 12 last year following the news of his death.

EastEnders will air these scenes in an hour-long special on Christmas Day at 8.45pm on BBC One.

EastEnders' Billy Mitchell will decide to propose to his ex-wife Honey over the festive season.

The former couple have recently rekindled their romance after Honey decided to move back to Albert Square permanently, and they will grow even closer as Christmas approaches.

The pair will come together to support their young daughter Janet in the Walford nativity, despite sharing contradicting views on what is best for her.

While an anxious Billy (Perry Fenwick) wants to withdraw Janet from taking part, Honey is keen for her to pursue with it and ultimately decides to take control of the situation.

can shabham not have anymore kids, is that her bad news possibly?

I think it's bound to be.
She's given away a baby, had a stillbirth and now her best friend is having her husband's child... I think the only thing to top that lot is not being able to have another child. How do they do all that to her without her going mad too?

The only person with a similar level of luck is Ronnie Mitchell and she has a baby now although is barking mad.

EastEnders will shock fans later this month by killing off one of its characters on Christmas Day.

Show boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins has revealed the news, promising that it will be one of several major storyline twists due to air over the festive period.

Cast and crew at the BBC soap are keeping the unlucky victim's identity strictly under wraps, keen to ensure that viewers are surprised when the scenes air on December 25.

Treadwell-Collins told BBC Radio London: "We've kind of pushed the boat out a little bit this year. Normally EastEnders looks at Christmas Day on its own, but what we've tried to do this year is look at it the way we looked at Live Week back in February.

"From Christmas Eve, going all the way through to January and beyond, the stories keep on coming and the twists keep on coming.

"On Christmas Eve, a story starts with Stacey and you've also got Vincent's feud with the Mitchells, building through to Christmas Day when everything will explode massively."

He continued: "We've got twists and surprises, the way we did in Live Week, that no-one knows about. There's some really, really big surprises that we haven't revealed and we're not going to reveal, so you're going to have to watch live on Christmas Day.

"Someone will die on Christmas Day that we haven't revealed to anyone, so that will be a surprise."

Insiders at the show had already revealed that Kat Moon's father Charlie Slater will pass away in early 2016, but it's thought that this is unrelated to the mystery Christmas death.

The bombshell news is likely to keep fans guessing over the next few weeks as we all wonder which Albert Square resident is about to meet their maker.

Treadwell-Collins added: "The action keeps going. You've got Danny Dyer's stag and it goes through to Mick and Linda's wedding. There's a lot of secrets blowing up between Vincent and Kim. You've got Mitchells, you've got Beales, Kat and Alfie come back, and then there's a massive new story for Stacey Slater."

EastEnders airs an hour-long special on Christmas Day at 8.45pm on BBC One.

A new EastEnders picture offers a first look at Dean Wicks begging his girlfriend Roxy Mitchell not to leave him.

Roxy (Rita Simons) will end her relationship with Dean over the festive season when she finally becomes aware of just how dangerous he really is.

Tensions between the pair will escalate when Dean overreacts when his Christmas plans don't go the way he had hoped.

As Christmas Day continues on the Square, Dean will be left furious when he realises that Buster, Shirley and Jade have already eaten with the Carters.

As the pressure becomes too much for Dean, he later has an angry outburst and accidentally injures Roxy in the process.

Worried for her safety, Roxy finally takes a stand and tries to leave out Dean, but will he convince her to change her mind?

EastEnders will air these scenes on Saturday, December 26 at 8pm ahead of Dean attacking Roxy later in the week.

Only problem is, I don't know who to route for. Bobby's nuts, while Denny is a spoilt bully who as I recall once ripped the hearing aid off of a deaf child. Far as I'm concerned, they're both nearly as bad as each other.

A new EastEnders trailer has suggested that there could be huge danger ahead for schoolboy Denny Rickman.

The preview offers a hint of what is to come in Walford this Christmas and shows the Mitchells and the Beales starting the day off together.

However, Phil can later be heard desperately screaming after Denny, while a hysterical Sharon launches herself at Bobby.

Hostilities between Bobby and Denny are set to increase at an alarming speed over the festive season, triggering off a catalogue of incidents that will leave lives hanging in the balance.

Further details are currently being kept under wraps, but the show's producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has confirmed that a character is going to be killed off. Could Denny be the unlucky victim?

Recent episodes have hinted at the rivalry between Denny and a jealous Bobby, while Jane has finally started to address concern over her son's behaviour.

EastEnders will air at 8.45pm on Christmas Day.

EastEnders' Aunt Babe will be on hand to help deliver Stacey Branning's baby when she goes into labour on Christmas Eve.

A heavily pregnant Stacey (Lacey Turner) will ignore her early contractions as she prepares to watch her young daughter Lily perform in the Walford Nativity play.

However, when Stacey later goes into labour in the community centre, it becomes clear that she won't be able to get to hospital in time. It's then down to Aunt Babe to help her as she gives birth to a baby boy.

A delighted Stacey and Martin Fowler celebrate following the arrival of her son, but viewers know that Kush Kazemi is actually the father of the newborn.

With Shabnam by his side, an emotional Kush is forced to hide his feelings as he looks on, but is the truth about to be exposed this Christmas?

EastEnders will air a shocking car crash on Christmas Day as a feud between the Mitchells and the Beales gets out of control.

The Mitchells and the Beales look set to be at the centre of the unmissable soap stunt, as tensions between them spiral dangerously out of control over the festive season.

Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) will spark fireworks this Christmas by threatening to report Bobby Beale to the police after her son Denny witnesses his evil streak.

The no-nonsense Mitchell matriarch believes that Bobby should face his punishment for killing Lucy before he gets the chance to hurt anyone else, but Ian and Jane are both terrified over Sharon's threats.

As the Mitchells and Beales sit down for lunch together on Christmas Day, both families struggle to control their emotions as Sharon's anger casts a shadow over proceedings.

With Jane and Ian still desperate to protect Bobby and Sharon determined to keep her own family safe, the two clans find themselves at each other's throats.

As the adults clash bitterly, they're unaware that the hostilities between Bobby and Dennis are increasing at an alarming speed too. This triggers off a series of incidents which lead to a devastating car crash, but who is inside the vehicle and will everyone survive?

It's no secret that EastEnders will kill off a mystery character on Christmas Day, but is this the moment that a Walford favourite loses their life? Or is tragedy going to strike in other circumstances?

Killing off Jane would be karma, although they'd be mad to get rid of Laurie Brett if she doesn't want to leave.

I think I read that the Vincent storyline will also feature heavily, so the death could be the result of that war instead.

Phil Mitchell will turn kidnapper on EastEnders this Christmas as he snatches Vincent Hubbard's baby daughter Pearl.

The Walford hardman takes the drastic action as his ongoing feud with Vincent (Richard Blackwood) reaches dangerous levels, placing both of their families in potential danger.

Although their other halves Sharon and Kim are both desperate to end the ongoing hostilities, it seems that there's no reasoning with Phil and Vincent as they resist pressure to make peace.

It's Phil (Steve McFadden) who steps the situation up a gear by storming over and snatching Pearl while Fatboy Chubb and Donna Yates are babysitting her.

Phil Mitchell and Ian Beale will be at the centre of EastEnders' dramatic car crash stunt on Christmas Day.

The long-time rivals are involved in the horrifying road accident as they clash angrily over warring schoolboys Dennis and Bobby.

Hostilities between the youngsters will reach an all-time high over the Christmas period, after Dennis overhears a revealing discussion about how Bobby killed his own sister Lucy.

Unable to keep Walford's worst-kept secret to himself, Dennis later infuriates Bobby by spitefully telling him the truth while they're out riding their bikes together on Christmas Day.

Dennis's revelation then triggers off a series of incidents, which ultimately lead to him lying injured on Walford Common. It's the same location that Lucy's body was dumped by Jane in April 2014, but has Bobby really tried to strike again?

Either way, Sharon wastes little time before venting her fury at Ian's troubled son in the aftermath, as she wonders where her beloved Denny is when only Bobby returns home.

Phil and Ian are tasked with tracking Dennis down, but when they do manage to pick him up, Ian turns nasty by demanding to know what Dennis said to upset Bobby so much.

The row between Ian and Dennis infuriates Phil, who is driving his car while drunk. Phil's angry attempts to intervene then distract him from the road and cause the terrible crash, leaving lives hanging in the balance. Could this be the mystery incident that kills off a character on Christmas Day?

EastEnders airs the crash scenes on December 25 at 8.45pm on BBC One.

EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins has argued that fans would be disappointed if the show wasn't grim at Christmas.

The BBC soap has a long history of putting its best-loved characters through the mill over the festive period, dating back to the iconic moment that Dirty Den Watts served his wife Angie with divorce papers on Christmas Day 1986.

This year will see EastEnders go head-to-head with Downton Abbey on December 25, so producers will be hoping that the dramatic storylines in store for the Beales and the Mitchells will be enough to win the ratings war.

Treadwell-Collins admitted: "They tried to have a happy Christmas one year. Pam St Clement [Pat Butcher] told us that they tried to do a happy Christmas where everyone hugged, and it had the lowest ratings ever.

"People expect EastEnders to be a bit gruesome. You're arguing with your family, you're often having a dreadful day, and you'll think: 'Oh God, at least I'm not a Beale' and you might just feel a bit happier!" Really?? :hmm: I don´t :p

EastEnders will kill off a major character on Christmas Day this year, but the show's producers are keeping very tight-lipped over the unlucky individual's identity.

Bobby Beale's storyline will come to a head as he finally discovers that he killed Lucy and reacts very badly to the revelation, while there'll also be a shock car crash and some epic twists in the feud between the Mitchells and the Hubbards.

EastEnders airs an hour-long special on Christmas Day at 8.45pm on BBC One.

EastEnders rivals Phil Mitchell and Vincent Hubbard wrestle dangerously over a gun in these dramatic new pictures.

The feud between the two men takes the shocking turn over the Christmas period, much to the horror of their respective families.

It's Phil (Steve McFadden) who is responsible for taking things to another level, snatching Vincent's baby daughter Pearl in a ruthless bid to teach him a lesson.

Phil manages to kidnap Pearl while Fatboy Chubb and Donna Yates are babysitting her, but Vincent (Richard Blackwood) vows to take no prisoners when he finds out.

As he storms over to the Mitchell house with a gun, how far will Vincent go to get his revenge?

Over on EastEnders, Stacey Branning will bring her newborn son home to Albert Square on Christmas Day, but the occasion may not be as celebratory as expected.

Stacey (Lacey Turner) gives birth at the Walford nativity on the night before Christmas, but her best friend Shabnam Masood struggles to be happy for her after making a shocking discovery.

Shabnam (Rakhee Thakrar) is unsettled after spotting that her mother-in-law Carmel Kazemi has given Stacey a special present for the baby, which hints at the fact that Kush is the real father.

A troubled Shabnam doesn't get an immediate chance to confront Stacey as the baby's sudden arrival at the nativity distracts everyone, so she has to wait until her best friend arrives home from hospital the next day.

As the rest of Stacey's loved ones fuss over the new arrival, Shabnam's mood is in marked contrast to everyone else's, and she decides that it's time to demand answers when they get a moment alone. Will Stacey come clean about sleeping with Kush?

Killing off Jane would be karma, although they'd be mad to get rid of Laurie Brett if she doesn't want to leave.

I think I read that the Vincent storyline will also feature heavily, so the death could be the result of that war instead.

jane would count as a major character vincent wouldn't for me

I think I read that the Vincent storyline will also feature heavily, so the death could be the result of that war instead.

That would be the ultimate irony; that Jane would be killed by Bobby after doing so much to protect him. I'm hoping not, as I would love to see Jane's emotional state and reactions for when it finally happens. Not to mention I like her, too.

I'd heard in a report where EE keep saying that come Xmas Bobby will "strike again", so I'm assuming the coming death will be due to him. However, I've long since learned not to take anything they say literally. Maybe Bobby plays a small part in it, like he damages the car engine in his anger, which leads to the crash, or something like that?

I agree about Bobby striking again. There's an awful lot of hype around the death being due to Bobby (his escalating feud with Dennis in particular is being highlighted)

It wouldn't surprise me therefore if the death has nothing to do with him. I've seen a lot of speculation that Vincent was never brought in as a long term character and that he's the one who will die. It's all guesswork though.

yes the hype is heavenly pushing the death because of bobby but the death may not be connected to bobby or vincent and even may not be a big major character

Could be Fatboy since he's involved with Vincent and we know he's leaving (although that would be an anti-climax).

Did I miss the death? Is it Fatboy in the boot?

Who's in the boot? That's the question on the lips of all EastEnders fans after this year's action-packed Christmas special.

The hour-long festive episode saw Ronnie Mitchell's feud with Vincent Hubbard spiral dangerously out of control, as a mystery character found themselves caught in the crossfire.

Back to her old murderous ways, Ronnie (Samantha Womack) had arranged for Vincent to be dealt with - starting off with him being locked up in a car boot at The Arches.

For a while it looked like Vincent was being lined up for the car crusher just like Ronnie's previous enemy Carl White. But in true EastEnders style, there was a shock twist when it later became clear that the unlucky victim in the boot was someone else.

Ronnie was stunned to spot Vincent alive and well at The Vic on Christmas night, but when she quizzed him on his apparent escaping act, his response revealed that he'd never been in the car to start with.

Realising that her sinister plans had gone horribly wrong, Ronnie rushed over to The Arches but was horrified to see that the car had already gone.

It's no secret that an EastEnders character is being killed off very soon, so has Ronnie just sent an innocent Albert Square resident off to their death?

Or could the Christmas casualty be Sharon Mitchell's young son Denny, whose life is hanging in the balance after a car crash?

EastEnders continues on Boxing Day at 7.30pm on BBC One, when fans will get the answers they're desperate for.

I was confused because I was expecting a death during the Christmas Day episode. Perhaps Dennis or whoever's in the boot is already dead? More likely I think they meant someone would die on Christmas Day in Albert Square, and that tomorrow's episode is a carry on and still set on Christmas Day.
