Ronnie tries to win Dean over, but her cunning plan is disrupted when she learns that Roxy is planning to move away from London with him. After an attempt to seek help from Mick fails, Ronnie agrees to support her sister's plans and agrees to see whether she can buy Roxy's share of the house.

However, it later becomes clear that Ronnie has other ideas when she gives Billy the keys to Blades. She tells him that they're going to put Dean out of business for good to make sure Roxy can't leave.

Later, Carmel admits to Denise that she hasn't felt so good in years, prompting Denise to tease her by suggesting that her recent one-night stand may be the reason. Carmel denies it, but how will she react when Masood invites her out for a drink?

Elsewhere, Mick leaves Elaine in charge of The Vic while Linda is away at a wedding event and secretly makes plans for Shirley to meet Ollie. However, after Elaine upsets both Whitney and Nancy, he is forced to cancel his plans. Growing frustrated, Shirley tells Mick that she's had enough of hiding their meetings.

Meanwhile, Mick meets with Shirley to apologise for cancelling their plans, but they're soon distracted when Carmel's cat gets stuck up a tree and Shirley is forced to get it down. Mick later has a heart-to-heart with Shirley and promises to tell Linda the truth when she's back.

Later, Mick returns to The Vic and finds Elaine and Babe in a full-blown argument in front of the customers. He puts Elaine in her place, causing her to get upset and pack her bags. Shortly afterwards, Carmel arrives to thank Mick for his help earlier and a livid Elaine soon realises that he has been seeing Shirley behind Linda's back. Mick stands his ground and reminds Elaine that Shirley is his mum.

Elsewhere, Kim listens to some advice from Carmel and decides to remind Vincent what he's missing. Her plan takes an embarassing turn, but it doesn't stop her from finding herself back in Vincent's arms later.

Also today, Billy feels guilty for not visiting Honey and William who are currently in Kent. After getting drunk, Billy leaves a saucy voice message for Honey.

EastEnders fans have taken to Twitter to express their anger at tonight's (November 9) Zainab revelations.

In this evening's episode, Masood told Tamwar that the real reason Zainab didn't turn up for her daughter Shabnam's wedding was that she had washed her hands of the family and wants nothing more to do with them.

Safe to say, it wasn't a twist that was well received by many, while others shared their disbelief:

In response to Zainab missing the wedding, Masood decided to keep hold of their young son Kamil (who came over for the wedding) and told Zainab that she'll have to fly over from Pakistan to get him if she wants him back.

This has led to some questioning whether the storyline is coming to a head:

Yes this confused me and made no sense, Zainab would not abandon and disown her family if there is no way she would ever return why not kill her off

Another example of DTC losing the plot.

Surely this is paving the way for her return. The story has no ground or direction if she doesn't.

Surely this is paving the way for her return.

That's exactly what I thought.

I know Nina Wadia has expressed an interest in returning to EE. I think I remember reading that DTC previously asked her but she was too busy to do so at that time.

I suspect we're not getting the full story about her washing her hands of her family. DTC loves to plant seeds that take a frustratingly long to come to fruition (for example, Stacey's key and the Les/ Claudette "affair"). I wouldn't be surprised if this was something along those lines.

Or it could be another example of DTC losing the plot as parkerman says. :D

After the chaos she caused at Blades this week, now it's The Albert's turn to face the wrath of Ronnie Mitchell on EastEnders.

Troubled Ronnie (Samantha Womack) loses control at the bar in spectacular style this evening (November 12) as her tense feud with Dean Wicks continues.

Livid over Dean's plans to marry her sister Roxy, a defiant Ronnie fights back by coming up with a new plan to expose his true colours once and for all.

Not for the first time, Ronnie's scheme quickly falls apart. Dean (Matt Di Angelo) then shares some harsh home truths with her, forcing his enemy to look at what she's become.

Rattled by the ongoing tension and Dean's words, Ronnie suddenly starts smashing things up at The Albert. How far will her fury go?
