So does Andy tell people that he shot Robert? I can't see anyone going down for this. If Robert finds out and thinks it was him I can see him trying to get him off. And they come up with a plan. Andy obviously thinks that this will get Ross of his back aswell. And Robert will feel that if he does this the whole Katie stuff may be put to bed aswell.
Saying all that though. Does anyone else think we might be leading to an Andy exit? Some things Kelvin has said have seemed a little like it could be. Even if we were surely they won't kill him off? A deadly showdown with Robert wouldn't be good for Rob either though.

I did think that Kelvin was hinting heavily in
an interview a few weeks ago that he might
be leaving?
Id be suprised if he did -in a way- as hes not
done much else and Andy to me is a very
limited character( I know his muscles have
their fans)
Also there arent many Sugdens left now.
Only Robert& Vic by birth & Diane & Andy
by marriage/adoption.
I agree not likely to have official punishment
for Roberts shooting. !? Have to see what
new producers take on situation is. His previous
experience on ED was some time ago??
That may affect his opinions/ decisions??

I do agree that it would be a surprise but not sure where he can go from here. He has the kids though so would be surprising if he left. But then Debbie will be going so will the kids be going with her?
How far in advance is the writing done? He doesn't start until new year and I would assume stories will be planned and in place for a few months at least?
Adam Thomas posted a photo on his Instagram few weeks ago from the village I think and was wearing a suit. Could suggest a court case though maybe? (Chrissie?) Not sure why else he would be wearing a suit unless for a funeral

My impression is that Andy is discussing Robert's shooting with someone (Vicar Ashley?). Somehow this spreads around the village or just gets back to Robert.
I think that one thing seems to lead to another and Andy and Robert seem to be the ones involved in the car chase. We know that Robert had a gun when he was at the lodge with Aaron and Paddy earlier this summer (Robert's gun was different to Ross's gun), so maybe it's tooled-up Robert who chases Andy in the car chase? As Andy usually has a bulky Land Rover, this is no real usual match for Robert's sports car as far as speed and road handling go, so if anyone is going to overturn/crash it's most likely going to be Andy.
There has been at least one car crash before between Robert and Andy which ended very badly. In 2005, Andy was face-bashing Robert during a number of episodes over Robert trying to leave Emmerdale with Andy's wife Katie and the baby. Robert (then the previous girl-chasing guy, actor Karl Davies) drove off to leave Emmerdale but Andy followed in hot pursuit in a Land Rover with Max King in the passenger seat. Robert turned his car around and drove at Andy's oncoming Land Rover. Max King pulled Andy's steering wheel in the last seconds before collision could occur but Andy's car swerved off the road and overturned, trapping Max and Andy inside. Robert managed to pull Andy clear but Max was killed when the car exploded.
Maybe in 2015 some of this history repeats itself? So Robert pulls Andy out of a crashed car again and 'brotherly love' kicks in until the next time they get any chance of falling out?
This whole 'Katie'-based storyline has gone beyond a joke already and this 'warring brothers' period talked about by Kate Oates recently is just like 'Itchy and Scratchy' where anything can happen but everyone survives for more next time from a clean slate. We've had storyline take-offs very recently of 'Strangers on a Train' (Andy/Ross), then some of West Side Story' (Pete/Ross and the police/court to come, etc), then there are aspects from 'The Terminator' too (Ross). What a complete joke!
What I really think is that Kate Oates and Micheal Parr haven't realised that the latest Emmerdale storylines when aired on ITV soon have probably set up Ross to be the Most Hated Man in Britain with no possible return of public feeling. As Kate Oates is leaving her present job of Emmerdale Series Producer for a secure job like this at 'Corrie' by January 2016, the same cannot seem to be said for Micheal Parr who seems to be presently about to be 'done up like a kipper' by Kate Oates?
I just wish I was an Emmerdale storyliner because this is what I would plan to happen next:
What I think right now should happen is that there is a bad car crash after Robert chases Andy. Robert repeats his 2005 past form and saves Andy from his Land Rover. What I would really like to happen next is that the village 'good guys' Andy, Robert and Pete club together and gang up on chavvy/scally/scumbag, socially-diseased, Ross, even if it means putting Ross in jail/secure hospital or even killing Ross by Christmas 2015. The needs of the many in Emmerdale far outweigh the needs of the few, after all. Let's face it, we all love to see a baddie get his just desserts and well-deserved comeuppance. What goes around comes around! The strange thing is, I really liked Ross before 'Summer Fate', August 2015. Now I just can't wait to see him gone from Emmerdale quick enough!

Yes looking at spoilers now it is Ashley he confides in who then lets it out
At least Michael Parr is doing his Job properly. HE IS supposed to be a bad boy. Ross is going through a horrible spell right now. People turn on characters really quickly though. I like to see different sides to characters and I think it's interesting seeing these different layers. I mean until it has happened to you.. How can you know how being "buried alive" will affect you? There has to be some serious issues there. On top of what is already there. They just aren't being explored so it looks like Ross is just doing it because he can. people seem to love Robert just now and feel sorry for him forgetting what he has actually done. I mean I don't really like him much but can see a different side to him just now which is kinda refreshing. I'm not going to start saying characters should be axed because they are going through a bad spell. Cain is still there and what has he done in his time on the show.
Also how can you say "good guys" Andy, Robert and Pete. Especially Robert?
I don't expect Robert and Ross to be long term characters but I have no doubt they will be still here at Christmas and into new year or longer. Bad boys don't always need to get their comeuppance if they show different sides to them
It takes a story to change minds and I'm sure this wont be the last time people change their minds on characters. I'm sure Robert will be back being his manipulative self and Ross could have some nice moments again. It is what is good about soaps. Ups and down. would be boring otherwise

When I wrote "the village 'good guys' Andy, Robert and Pete" it was meant as a bit tongue-in-cheek and a relative term, as in "better guys when compared to Ross who most definitely is not a good guy".
All of Andy, Robert and Pete have had dodgy storylines and moments in the past, also Aaron and Cain and others, but Ross is in a very different and unenviable league right now for someone of his age. Even Ross's moments with Debbie can be selfish and he has no real interest in her kids, they are just an inconvenience to him. Ross is like a child who wants to want. He doesn't really know what he wants and if you gave him what he said he wanted he'd say he didn't want it anymore but now wanted something else, and so the wanting cycle continues...
Ross is currently car-crash TV and his own worst enemy. His self-centred mission in life is to blame others for his own problems and history and is wrecking the village society for everyone there. Right now, we have:
- Robert recovering in hospital from attempted murder by Ross and with Aaron in jail being blamed for it;
- Pete having survived two attempted murder scenes by Ross;
- Pete now at the police station confessing to 'attempted murder' on Ross for his fight and apparent accident with Ross at the hospital;
- Andy and Robert about to be involved in a car crash soon because Robert finds out that Andy set up Robert's shooting (which Ross suggested to Andy as in 'Strangers on a Train');
- etc.
The start of all of these storylines always comes back to one guy. Ross.
I couldn't buy Ross's attempt to explain himself during this Tuesday's episode with him on the viaduct with Pete. What he said didn't for me justify what he's done to others throughout his time in Emmerdale and particularly lately. It wasn't even as if Ross was crying drunk. Instead, the sober Emmerdale "villain" just switched out of character and went from being self-styled tough-guy to being a blubbing self-centred kid. I always find it tragic when a screen character self-destructs for the wrong reasons. It's quite common for people with pyschopathic/sociopathic tendencies to kill themselves on impulse because of unstable emotions but maybe this is too much to expect for soapland. However, as Debbie is leaving soon then Ross isn't going to have a good woman around Emmerdale to pull him back from whatever edge he's heading for so we TV viewers might be in for a Christmas treat on this yet?
I see the TV viewer ratings have increased recently over the latest storylines. Although the dark nights have probably helped the ratings, as has the drop in ratings for EastEnders and time clashes with Emmerdale, an obvious reason for more Emmerdale viewers is the car crash storylines. Just like a real car crash, people stop and stare out of interest for a while and are glad that it doesn't involve them but then they move on and get on with their own lives. I do wonder if the TV viewer ratings can be sustained once storyline burn-out happens, as there is only so far that a storyline can go without killing off a character through violence/accident/jail/hospital/relocation/over-use/etc. Maybe we are now seeing more of the "cast cull" we were promised from Summer Fate in August 2015?
Emmerdale has about 20 houses and farms and about 50 residents and is a very small cul-de-sac community to host these larger-than-life storylines. It really looks like it could do with a community lifesaver quick. Maybe Paddy should check the residents for BSE?

.I admit to not being an Andy fan- but
surely being a wife-beater -killing your
adopted mother in a deliberate fire
and letting your adopted father go to
prison for it counts as a lot more than
a bit dodgy.Apart from various other actions.
Pete is dangerous through being dense-
Im not qualified to know if that affects
him being held " criminally responsible"
Robert biggest fault til recently was being
a bit free and easy with other peoples
wives/girl friends. The women didnt appear
to object ? and hes now had a change of
sexuality.
So really tho Ross has done some bad things
recently and I dont excuse that-I dont see
he is worse overall than the others. It would
take ages to list and quantify the actions
of those mentioned (inc Cain ) and the result
may be surprising.I wont mention the"old"
Eric Pollard-but the current version has a long
way to go before he "recaptures" the original
and hes still there.
Ross does still seem to have a devoted fan
base- tho no one knows how long that will
last.Or how long viewers will have an appetite
for such stories -but they do seem to -at present.

I think this might be the scene Ryan Hawley was unable to attend some award show because he said he was filming some dramatic scene on a Saturday. I also recall that Danny Miller said he also could not attend some award show because he was filming. This was a few weeks ago like late September early October,

Soap spoilers: Emmerdale return
By Sophie Dainty and Daniel Kilkelly
Sunday, Nov 1 2015, 00:01 GMT
Over on Emmerdale, Jimmy King has some serious explaining to do when his wife Nicola returns to the village.
Jimmy will be dismayed when he learns that Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) will be returning two weeks earlier than planned and worries about how to tell her that they have no furniture.
Although Jimmy (Nick Miles) plans to put everything right for Nicola's arrival, she is left confused when she arrives home early and is unable to get into Mill Cottage.
Realising that her key no longer works, Nicola tries to contact Jimmy but he is distracted watching TV with her father Rodney Blackstock.
After Nicola storms round to the pub to find out what's going on, Jimmy is soon left to explain everything when he catches up with her.

How will Jimmy explain himself?
As Jimmy breaks the news that he has sold their house, Nicola is fuming when she hears where they are now supposed to be living.
Taking matters into her own hands, Nicola climbs the scaffolding in order to break into her old home, which now belongs to Rakesh and Priya.
With Nicola refusing to accept their new living situation, Jimmy can only watch on in horror as he realises that he has a rough road ahead if he's going to make up with his wife. Will Nicola be able to forgive him?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday, November 11 at 7pm on ITV.

Aaron and Robert are not able to be together at present.
Aaron is in jail for now. Spoilers say that he appears in court on Monday 9th November to make his pleas to the charges against him. He is refused bail and remanded in custody, however. There are some instagram photos about which show Aaron being filmed at present so these scenes will appear on TV around December.
Robert gets out of hospital on Friday 6th November. He attends court the following Monday to see Aaron there and to get some idea if it was Aaron who shot him.
On Wed-Thu 11th-12th November, Robert and Andy argue about Robert being shot and this escalates into a mad head-to-head car stunt (a modern day "pistols at dawn" scene) which results in Robert swerving into hay bales (I'm not sure if Robert is wearing a seat belt or not though?) whereas Andy's Land Rover overturns and rolls into a wall. Andy does not seem to be wearing a seat belt in this either and he looks bad.
Neither Andy nor Robert are mentioned in the ITV spoilers for 16th-20th November, so it isn't known yet what state either are in then. Car and body photos for Andy in particular for November 12th look bad, however.

It's Aaron's day in court and Victoria is annoyed to see that Adam and Andy are both going to attend to support him. When Aaron is asked for his plea, he locks eyes with Robert as he pleads 'not guilty'.
When Aaron is refused bail, Robert breaks the silence in court and goads him to 'tell the truth'. Robert takes it as an admission of guilt when Aaron says that Robert should have done everyone a favour and stayed dead. He is then bundled away by the security guards. Robert wonders if this really is Aaron's admission of guilt.

Aaron arrives in court and the charge is read out to him
Meanwhile, Andy cannot cope with the prospect of an innocent man going down. However, Ross warns that he can kiss goodbye to his kids for a very long time if he confesses. Andy staggers off to Katie's grave with a bottle of vodka. When Ashley spots him there in a drunken state, he is shocked to the core when Andy admits that Aaron is innocent and he was the one who really wanted Robert dead. Ashley wonders if this Andy's confession or just the drink talking.
Elsewhere, Chas's torment continues. She tells James about her run-in with Emma and how she is scared of her. Cain suggests taking her to the doctor if she continues to have trouble sleeping.
Also today, Bernice begins to get cold feet about her impending marriage. She asks Lawrence about his sexuality and he evades the issue, reassuring her that he never thought he would meet anyone else after his wife died. Can Bernice cope with a sexless marriage?
Finally, Finn realises that Emma hasn't been home all night, while Zak gets annoyed when Rodney makes an inappropriate comment about Joanie.

Ashley tells Robert that he found a disturbed Andy in the graveyard. Robert wants to know what Andy said, but Ashley doesn't tell him. Ashley then confronts a hungover Andy and tells him that he can't see an innocent man go to jail. Andy begs him to forget their conversation for Jack and Sarah's sake.
Later, Ashley confides in Laurel by revealing that he has information which could alter the outcome of the trial. She encourages him to do the right thing. Ashley decides to try persuading Andy to go to the police, but he accidentally rings Robert - leaving a voicemail message saying that he cannot justify sending an innocent man to jail.
Meanwhile, Lawrence learns that Bernice has been discussing him with his daughter, leaving Bernice worried that she might have disclosed too much. Lawrence asks Edna about her relationship with Harold, who suggests that being honest with Bernice would be the right way to handle it.
Elsewhere, Jimmy has no furniture apart from a TV and is dismayed to learn that Nicola will be returning two weeks earlier than planned. Rodney suggests that he needs to get himself organised, pointing out the scary prospect would be telling an enraged Nicola why they have no furniture. Jimmy reassures him that he will have the place like a 'dream home' in time for his wife's return.
Also today, Nikhil and his partner Tanya return from the airport, but their 'reunion' is interrupted when Brenda mentions a get-together to celebrate what would have been Gennie's birthday. Jai insists Tanya attends and secretly hopes everyone will hate her for ruining Gennie's memory.

Soon afterwards, Robert turns up at the scrapyard and questions Adam on who he thinks is responsible for the shooting. He suggests Andy, but Adam cannot accept that Andy could possibly be responsible for such a crime. Robert then rings Andy, saying they need to talk.

Soon it's clear that Andy is determined to finish the job he started, as he sets his car off in a face-off pointing at Robert's vehicle. Is history set to repeat itself?
Meanwhile, Nicola arrives home and goes straight to Mill Cottage. On discovering that her key no longer works, she tries to contact Jimmy but he is busy watching TV with Rodney and misses the call. As the memory of his Top Gun performance comes rushing back, he realises his next ploy has to be something more impressive as his eyes descend on a watermelon!
Later, Laurel confides in Nicola that she is an alcoholic and Nicola discloses the real reason she is back from Dubai early.
Elsewhere, Ashley's memory continues to cause problems when he forgets to collect Sandy's medication so begins to use a notebook. It's clear that keeping his life together is proving to be ever more difficult.

Whats on TV released a spoiler You Tube video on 5th November giving spoilers for the Emmerdale episodes for week 9th-13th November.
Aaron gets released from prison after Robert gives a false description of the gunman who shot him behind The Woolpack (on September 25th).
"
As Aaron pleads "Not guilty", Ashley wonders if Andy is the shooter after the farmer drunkenly tells him Aaron is innocent and he wanted him dead. When he sobers up, he begs Ashley to believe it was just the booze talking, but later Ashley leaves him a voicemail persuading him to go to the police. Only he sent it to Robert by mistake. He hot foots it to Andy's and his brother admits he was behind the shooting, prompting a desperate car chase. Later Robert gets Aaron released when he gives a false description of the gunman, and he tells Andy he's trying to put things right.
Nicola's back and disgusted to find that they're not living at Mill Cottage. As she tells Laurel why she's back from Dubai early, Jimmy decides to add to his Top Gun act with a bit of dirty dancing. Lucky lady!
Megan has to go to a baby scan alone, but when Nikhil accidentally sees the photo of the scan, he insists she can't leave without letting Jai know.

Spoilers say that Andy chases Robert, overtakes him, reverses then they face each other. So it was numpty Andy who set-up all of this and it really looks as if there is a potential charge of attempted murder by Andy on Robert for this. All Robert wanted to do was visit the police station as a law abiding Emmerdale citizen(?) and tell that Andy is a complete nutcase.
Look, Andy. Let's face it. We all know it. You're a complete numpty as any kind of hitman. Take my personal advice. You really need to retire now whilst you're ahead (for now), as you're total rubbish at this job. I really think you should check out the local Hotton Jobcentre for a very different career, son, as your planning ability for respectable hits is like minus zillions on the hitman scale. I'm not going to employ you for any work I might have in mind, sorry. Best wishes for your future. Best regards.
The Thursday 8pm episode video clip shows Andy and Robert going head-to-head with a tank-like Land Rover versus a matchbox lightweight Porsche hatchback. Neither Andy nor Robert are wearing seat belts. Anyway, it's a good thing that Robert swerves, because if his Porsche hit Andy's solid Land Rover head-on, whilst Robert and Andy are not apparently wearing seat belts and with each car doing 50mph+, then this would almost certainly have killed Robert and probably Andy too, as I really don't think that Robert's Porsche crumple zone would have taken all of the impact force for both Andy and Robert to survive.

Andy and Robert can't remember the Highway Code about who should pass first in a narrow country lane.
Numpty Andy decides and gets it wrong...(as usual!)

Andy is really determined to take his car for a spin in the countryside
Robert must be on his uppers lately and maybe got something scrap from Aaron's yard, as the car he was driving for the crash was a silver Porsche 944, 1987, D51 TNK, worth about £4,500.
Andy's car was a Land Rover Defender 110, 2003, ML53 WJD, worth about £18,000(?) which has now been nicely "broken in" for the next owner (=Holy Scrap!).
For those with an interest in cars, Robert usually had a white Audi R8 4.2 2-door (Quattro-type), SV13 TXO, worth about £70,000.

Yes, it seems that Robert must save Andy from the Land Rover wreck, as there apparently isn't anyone else around to do anything.
As Andy has been badly injured in the crash, he is presumably taken to hospital. I suppose Robert could quietly repair his wrecked Porsche and Andy just claim on his Land Rover by saying some fox or other animal ran out in front of him.
There is a spoiler for 16th November which says that Robert is told by Aaron that Aaron hates him, so we know Robert survives his "bump" into the hay bale on 12th November.
Another spoiler for 23th-24th November suggests Andy is in the village and able to advise Bernice about her wedding plans for later that week, so we know from this that Andy survives his Land Rover flip on 12th November.
I wonder just how long this Itchy and Scratchy cartoon storyline goes on for between each brotherly pair of Robert/Andy and Pete/Ross. Maybe Kate Oates has something special lined up for Christmas when the luck of at least one of the four characters finally runs out?

The Sun TV magazine, 8th November 2015
Hell hath no fury like Nicola King scorned. And when she returns from Dubai early (we won't spoil why, but it is very funny) to find Jimmy has sold their house, furious isn't the word as she stages a sit-in at what is now Rakesh and Priya's gaff. Good luck, Jimmy.
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov 11-12 2015, from 19:00 GMT on ITV
