View Full Version : EastEnders Spoilers 26th - 30th October 2015
EastEnders will air an hour-long special later this month as Halloween arrives on Albert Square.
Final schedules released today have revealed that an extended episode of the show will air on Friday, October 30 from 7.30pm on BBC One.
Halloween is expected to be an eventful time for a number of Walford's residents, so stay tuned for some further updates on the storylines that will be featuring.
Last year's Halloween episodes saw Nick Cotton return and Abi Branning dress up in a scary costume to terrify her older sister Lauren, so could there be another Albert Square fright night lined up?
Soap fans will be relieved to know that the hour-long special doesn't mean a clash with Coronation Street, which airs a single episode at 7pm that evening due to ITV's Rugby World Cup coverage.
BBC One has also dodged another clash between EastEnders and Emmerdale in the latest schedules following weeks of head-to-head battles between the two soaps.

Last year's Halloween episode (when Abi tried to drown Lauren) was very good if I remember correctly.
Here's a first look at Halloween on EastEnders as Martin Fowler shocks Stacey Branning by going down on one knee.
Upcoming episodes will see Martin (James Bye) decide that it's time to make a full commitment to Stacey, wanting to settle down with her now that his split from Sonia has been finalised.
The market trader initially confides in his friend Kush Kazemi by revealing that he's planning to propose, but the surprise element is ruined when Stacey (Lacey Turner) finds the engagement ring hidden away in a toolbox.
A nervous Stacey quickly turns to Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) for advice and admits that she doesn't want to get married again.

Ultimately realising that honesty is the best policy, Stacey then stops Martin in his tracks by insisting that things should stay as they are - leaving him crushed.
However, as Martin's romantic proposal plans are already in place, he later decides to go ahead regardless by surprising Stacey as she hosts a Halloween party on the Square.
Martin pops the question in his own unique way and it's not long before the proposal takes a very odd turn. Is everything as it seems, and how will Stacey react?

EastEnders airs these scenes in an hour-long Halloween special on Friday, October 30 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
Martin Fowler will turn violent on EastEnders this Halloween as he punches Lee Carter in a public showdown.
The market trader lashes out after a careless mistake from Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard) lands his pregnant girlfriend Stacey Branning in hospital.
EastEnders' hour-long Halloween special will see Lee asked to fix a faulty fuse at Stacey's flat. When he fails to complete the task properly, it sets the stage for a horrifying moment as Stacey (Lacey Turner) suffers a nasty electric shock while hosting a Halloween party in her home.
The celebrations are cut short as Stacey is rushed to hospital and everyone fears for the wellbeing of mum and baby. Lee, meanwhile, is sent into a spiral as his guilt makes his ongoing depression even worse.
James Bye, who plays Martin, revealed: "Martin punches Lee and it was good to play. I think the way we've approached the 'new 3.0 Martin' is that he's just a normal bloke. We don't want him to be anything else. He's come back to Walford and he wants to start again.
"But at the end of the day, if you put something like that in front of him - a situation where he thinks his girlfriend and baby are both dead - he's obviously going to react.
"Martin wears his heart on his sleeve. Unfortunately he doesn't deal with things like that very well, so he just reacts in the moment. You'll see the repercussions of the punch with Lee and it doesn't just get forgotten."
Martin is currently looking forward to settling down with Stacey as a proper family unit, but EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins recently teased that Stacey's unborn child might not actually be his - leaving fans to speculate that Kush Kazemi is the real father.
Asked how Martin would react if this was the case, Bye laughed: "Well how would you feel? He's put so much effort in with Stacey, he's head over heels in love with her and he's now starting to feel that he's getting that in return. At the minute, in his mind, the baby is his.
"Martin loves Stacey and the baby just fits in with their relationship. I genuinely don't know what happens between them or whether the baby's his or not. We don't know for certain - they keep you in the dark and I have no idea."
It's now been over a year since Bye was announced as the new Martin, taking over from James Alexandrou who played the character between 1996 and 2007.
Reflecting on the mixed reaction he received from fans at first, Bye admitted: "I took on the job knowing full well that I was going to come into it with some stick. James Alexandrou did a great job and played the role for a long, long time. People were invested in the actor, so when the new face comes in, people are always going to be asking, 'Who's this fella?'
"I can't do anything about that. All I can do is be completely understanding to the fact that people are going to react like that. I try just to block it out. If fans take to me, that's fantastic because it always helps. If they don't, they don't, and I have no control over it.
"With the stuff coming up, Martin goes on a journey so hopefully people can get on board and follow him through it."

EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins has revealed more gossip about the show's upcoming Halloween special, promising that it will launch a number of major new storylines.
The BBC soap has been given an extended hour-long airing on Friday, October 30, as Halloween turns into a terrifying 'fright night' for a number of Albert Square's residents.
While exact details are being kept under wraps for now, some of the show's much-loved characters will find themselves in a horrifying situation with no escape.
Pregnant Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) is also at the centre of trouble when she suffers a nasty electric shock during a Halloween party at her flat, which leads to her being rushed off to hospital as her life hangs in the balance.
Speaking about the special episode for the first time, Treadwell-Collins commented: "We're really proud of this episode. Over the years, we've started making Halloween a bigger thing - and getting scarier and scarier and scarier! This hour-long episode is a little bit special.
"Over the next few months, you're going to see a lot of big things. The Halloween episode kicks off a lot of big stories, including big stuff for Sharon, Phil, Stacey and Martin. There's a lot of things that are kick-started in the episode, so over the next few months, they're the people to watch."
Treadwell-Collins also teased plans for Christmas and New Year, when two of the show's longest-running current storylines are expected to come to a head.
He said: "It's also worth watching the Carters as Whitney becomes a bit more permanent behind the bar and we look at her relationship with Lee. Dean is also circling in the build-up to the Carters' New Year wedding, which our director Toby Frow is getting ready to film in a couple of weeks' time - with wet suits!
"Bobby Beale is definitely one to watch too. There's more to come with Bobby and that story is going to reach its climax at Christmas."

Kathy Beale gets the fright of her life in the chilling new Halloween trailer for EastEnders.
There are spooks aplenty in the clip, as all manner of things are set to go bump in the night in the Square.
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/news/a675329/kathy-beale-gets-a-fright-in-the-terrifying-new-eastenders-halloween-trailer.html#~ps0ew7Rj40nnBn
The clip features Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) at the centre of a number of frightening twists, from a stranger following her to an intruder at her door.
Also teased in the trailer is Stacey Branning's upcoming Halloween party, and the "big story" involving Sharon and Phil that EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins hinted at earlier this week.
But if you need a reminder of what to expect in the hour-long Halloween fright night special, you can always recite the trailer's rather creepy poem and remember: "1, 2, someone's following you, 3, 4, don't open the door, 5, 6, don't leave the Vic, 7, 8, no time to wait, 9, 10 ... It's Halloween again."
Elsewhere, EastEnders fans took to Twitter to complain after a sound error 'ruined' last night's episode (October 22).
Many called for the BBC to apologise after a tense moment between Ronnie Mitchell and Linda Carter was cut short by the sound failure.
Meanwhile, Lacey Turner has admitted that she is still in the dark over the circumstances surrounding her character Stacey Branning's mystery key.

Dean? He's leaving (finally) and from what I heard, Linda and Ronnie do team up in the end. If Matt had signed for six months after his initial 12 month contract expired, his time would be up about now.
Gavin's a possibility but as he's yet to be revealed as Sharon's biological father (this seems very likely), I doubt it's him.

EastEnders fans will be able to play 'spot the horror movie' when the show airs its Halloween special this week.
The BBC soap took inspiration from some classic films when planning this Friday's hour-long episode (October 30), which will place some much-loved characters in a terrifying situation.

Kathy is left terrified on Halloween
Kathy Beale will be at the centre of the drama as her evil estranged husband Gavin Sullivan continues to pose a big threat.
Scriptwriter Leo Richardson, who penned the episode, revealed: "I love horror movies. The first draft was probably way too over the top! They emailed me and said that we had to pull it back.
"There was Friday the 13th, Halloween, Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street. Most of those are still in there somewhere, but we had to pull it back a little bit.
"I thought as it's Halloween, we should have a bit of fun. There's a homage to the popcorn scene in Scream. I wanted to have Kathy as the star, as the Scream queen! She also watches Night of the Living Dead and we got the rights to use it in the episode."

Will Kathy manage to stay safe?
EastEnders bosses have started delivering big story peaks on Halloween in the past few years. 2013 saw the demise of Michael Moon, while last year it was the return of Nick Cotton and Abi Branning stalking her sister Lauren that provided the scares.
Toby Frow, who directed this year's special, added: "In recent years it feels like Halloween on EastEnders has become an episode that is slightly larger than life, which is amazing.
"It's such a naturalistic show in so many ways, which I love, but this gives you licence to play and do something that is perhaps a bit more visually arresting when you're thinking and planning it. You don't get any more time or any more money, but you get to actually push yourself."
EastEnders airs its Halloween special on Friday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
