I'd laugh if Paddy paid Chloe to be with Marlon, unless Paddy has been with Chloe before. Its driving me a little nuts to know just what "Good Ol Paddys" been up too. At one stage I thought that he may have shot Robert. Darn, hurry up 23 Oct LOL.

I think Paddy shot Robert or could be Ross now as he is back for reveal week
Why is Ross jealous of Pete and Andy's friendship now, they have always been friends, they both work on the farm

I'm not sure why Ross would Shoot him I mean it would be a huge risk. Even if It was for money he would risk losing his family and Debbie for good. Even though Debbie is pretending she doesn't want him it's obvious that's a lie. I have a feeling Ross may have seen who did it. Also whoever done it surely will be punished. Which would mean possibly an actor leaving. Lachlan possibly the best bet?
No idea why Ross would be annoyed with Pete and Andy. Although maybe because nobody outside The family knows what Pete did. Not sure how Andy would react if he knew what the real reason his family have been tough on him for. Unless Pete tells him exactly what happened

Why would Bernice marry a gay guy? It is obvious Lawrence is not straight he is sexually attracted to young men. He was attracted to Connor and Robert.

Lawrence likes the outward respectablity of
marriage -tho his stronger feelings are for
younger men.
Bernice likes money and despite not being
very young is gullible!
A not uncommon pairing!!

ITV has confirmed the scheduling details for Emmerdale's exciting rewind episode.
The special flashback edition will air on Thursday, October 22 at 8pm in an hour-long timeslot, revealing what really happened on the night of Robert Sugden's shooting.
A normal episode of the show will also air an hour beforehand at 7pm, meaning that fans can enjoy 90 minutes of Emmerdale drama that night.
Emmerdale announced plans for the rewind special last week, promising that the identity of Robert's shooter would be revealed in the episode.
With a number of suspects still in the frame, viewers will be able to see the crucial moments which led up to the shooting and what happened next.
The flashback will also reveal two other secrets which will change life in the village forever, setting the scene for an explosive winter in the Dales and lives for the villagers will never be the same again!
Emmerdale's producer Kate Oates recently commented: "This won't be the first time Emmerdale has broken its 'house style' of storytelling, but it will be the first time we've told a story in a non-linear way.
"What makes this 'rewind' episode special is that we won't just learn who shot Robert, but two other big secrets that will propel the show into an exciting, emotional and dramatic winter."

Deleted my post above. Got mixed up. So the Friday after the rewind ep it is actually continuing from the shooting? So it's like the next day. Is that right?

Deleted my post above. Got mixed up. So the Friday after the rewind ep it is actually continuing from the shooting? So it's like the next day. Is that right?
My impression is that the TV episodes for Monday-Friday for 19th-23rd October are the usual ongoing Emmerdale storylines and the 'rewind' episode is Emmerdale Extra, a special one-hour inserted episode for the 43rd anniversary of Emmerdale first airing on TV. The 'rewind' episode, I think, is just for TV viewers to see who Robert's shooter really was and to shed some light on how some future storylines for two or more Emmerdale characters start off as a consequence of what they did during the time of Robert's shooting. My suspicions right now for these 'extra' character storylines include a Tess/Paddy affair and Ashley setting-up something with Laurel about cot-death baby Daniel. Although we know from spoilers that TV viewers will be shown who shot Robert, nothing has been said about whether the villagers or police will see and know what TV viewers will see (so we will maybe be privileged viewers and just us will be 'in on the know'?).
I still think right now that it was Lachlan who shot Robert from behind the bushes behind the Woolpack on Friday evening for September 25th. I also still think that Robert was carrying a ball-bearing-type gun which dropped out of his pocket after he'd been shot by his shooter, and that it was Robert's gun that Aaron found when he ran onto the shooting scene about 20 seconds after Robert had been shot in front of Chas.
Ross still has no alibi for the time that Robert was shot. He is my #2 shooter suspect but much less likely to be the shooter than Lachlan is, based on present information and spoilers. My thoughts right now about Ross is that had planned to kill Pete at Butler's Farm during the evening of September 25th but something made him change his mind. Whether some other 'job' came up or he saw Robert had been shot and scared him enough to realise that this could have been him shooting Pete has yet to be seen. Whatever happened for Ross that night, he went to see Debbie to tell her that he was leaving Emmerdale for now, maybe forever. I suspect that Ross seeing that Robert had been shot (by someone other than Ross?) made Ross come to his senses and realise that this was how he could have ended Pete's life, so he did what was only to be expected then and that was to leave Emmerdale, at least for a while, so as to prevent Ross doing something regrettable lifelong. Spoilers tell that Ross returns to Emmerdale on October 22nd, the day of the 'rewind' episode airing. The ITV spoilers for Friday episode October 23rd say "Pete is horrified to learn the truth". Maybe Ross tells Pete then that Ross really meant to kill Pete on the night of September 25th but Ross changed his mind, maybe because he saw that Robert had been shot and Ross then had second thoughts about doing something like this to Pete? As for "some other 'job' came up" for Ross that night, maybe Ross called around to Home Farm and talked to Lawrence who gave Ross his gun back on condition that Ross was to later kill Robert as Lawrence's hired hitman? Maybe Ross' payment for 'doing the deed' on Robert was Chrissie's bracelet (obviously valuable as it was usually kept in the Home Farm safe).
I am certain that I can think of many outlandish storylines involving minor Emmerdale characters and outsiders who were the one that shot at Robert. I really do hope that every loyal Emmerdale TV viewer is not ultimately conned by Emmerdale storyliners to accept, and have to live with, any wacky and wierd explanations of who shot Robert on September 25th and why this was done. The simplest stories are usually for the best long-term for any soap, I reckon.
Deleted my post above. Got mixed up. So the Friday after the rewind ep it is actually continuing from the shooting? So it's like the next day. Is that right?
The way I understand it is that the rewind episode will be a repeat of what we have already seen but with revelation of who the shooter is and a couple of other things. On the following Friday we carry on from the normal episode shown before the rewind but a lot of things will be much clearer to the viewers :)

Soap spoilers: Emmerdale murder plan
By Sophie Dainty and Daniel Kilkelly
Sunday, Oct 11 2015, 00:01 BST
Meanwhile, Robert Sugden's life will rest in Cain Dingle's hands on Emmerdale as he threatens to cut the villain's oxygen tube.
Cain (Jeff Hordley) comes up with the shocking plan of action after his nephew Aaron Livesy has been arrested for Robert's recent shooting.
Determined to save Aaron from a long prison sentence by shifting suspicion elsewhere, Cain recruits Adam Barton to help him kill Robert and ensure that Chrissie takes the fall for it.
Adam is shocked by the scheme and shares his concerns with Cain's father Zak, but a determined Cain prepares to go ahead with his plan as he hides himself from the hospital CCTV with a large teddy.
After Cain distracts a nurse, he snatches a cordless phone from reception and lures Chrissie into his trap by making a bogus call 'from the hospital' and getting her to come in.
However, as Cain prepares to cut Robert's oxygen tube, he is stopped in his tracks when Zak arrives suddenly and interrupts him. Can Zak talk him out of it, or will Cain's determination to save his family spell the end for Robert?

The time is almost here – viewers are about to finally learn who pulled the trigger and shot Robert Sugden.
In a special flashback episode, fans will be taken back in time two hours before the attack took place and will get an insight into the scenes we didn’t see in the build up to the shooting.
With the episode also set to reveal new twists in two other storylines too, there is plenty for viewers to enjoy as Emmerdale takes us all on a unique and exciting journey.
We have seen the episode and won’t be giving anything away to ruin the suspense or the surprise.
However, here are ten things you can expect when you sit down to watch Emmerdale: Rewind on Thursday 22nd October.
1. There will be unexpected twists
The main focus on the episode is painting a picture of the lead up to Robert’s shooting – and viewers can expect to be treated to an exciting pay off on the story they have invested in. As the episode unfolds, not everything is instantly as it seems…
2. Two secrets will be revealed…
Aside from the shooting storyline itself, two other storylines will play out in the episode that viewers have been less aware of. Clues have been planted and a lot will make sense when the new twists reveal themselves for characters not previously involved in the centre of this drama.
3. We will see each of the suspects in new scenes

(Picture: ITV/Metro)
Where was everyone around the time of the shooting and what were they up to? The jigsaw pieces start to fall into place – and new revelations may well come to light about the characters we have all been suspecting…
4. Things that didn’t make sense before now will
Furtive glances, questions asked, suspicious behaviour – there is a lot still to be answered but the gaps will be filled as we realise the reason for certain lines, events and movements in the wake of the shooting.
5. We will see Robert shot again
Sorry Robert fans, but you will have to relive that moment once more of seeing his chest pierced by a vengeful bullet. Only this time, we will see who is wielding the gun – and what they do directly after Robert falls down…
6. Someone’s heroic actions have unexpected results…
An unlikely hero makes a decision that will change the course of everything for them.
7. Someone’s life changes forever…
And we aren’t talking Robert or the shooter, here.
8. Someone makes a big admission
And it’s very emotional to watch – it may well explain quite a lot too…
9. There is a bitter stand off between two characters…
Two residents will play out a scene that hasn’t yet aired that will show a nasty exchange – and some long held anger aired…
10. New stories will kick off…

This sounds brilliant. Who is the unlikely hero?
Someone makes big admission - Paddy?
And 2 residents in nasty exchange.
Also Thursday spoiler is worded slightly different "Meanwhile, Ross returns to the village and is annoyed that Andy seems to be on friendly terms with Pete."
Could just be because they are mates after what Andy knows happened with Pete and Ross or Has there been some sort of an exchange between Ross and Andy?

I've been wondering about Cain's location when Robert was shot for some time.
Suspects with unknown locations at the time of the shooting include:
Aaron (near the pub/garage but where exactly?)
Cain (completely unknown location)
Chrissie (was she with Eric in The Grange?)
Lachlan (he was in the village but where exactly?)
Ross (he was near Debbie's house but where exactly?).
Eric tells Cain about Chrissie on October 20th. Cain then sneaks upstairs with gloves on at Home Farm before gate-crashing the party downstairs. This could be just another red herring, of course, but it does raise more questions.
Does Cain plant the gun used to shoot Robert in Chrissie's bedroom? And so is Cain Robert's shooter?
Cain has a motive for shooting Robert because Chas told him earlier that she wanted Robert dead because of Aaron's knowledge about Katie's death. Spoilers show that Cain also has known form for later trying to kill Robert by asphyxiation at the hospital.
Cain has just become a very interesting character.

Yes I don't think Cain can be ruled out. He is certainly capable and was pretty quiet in the lead up and on the night it happened. He wasn't at the farm when Moira and Pete were looking for Ross. Could Ross and Cain have met? Somehow crossed paths

Cain has a history of using other people for the dodgiest jobs. He used Ross first in October 2013 when Ross then showed up at Butlers Farm with a gunshot wound from a bungled job which Cain had told Ross would be "easy". The new spoilers also say that Cain asks Adam to help kill Robert but Cain ends up going to do it himself at the hospital.
I looked at the shooting episode (Sept 25th) again yesterday. After the shooting, Ross goes into Debbie's house a few doors away from the pub and tells her in a sort of surprised/shocked voice that "Robert's been shot", as if he'd only seen Robert laying on the ground at the back of the pub rather than having shot him himself. Just my impression really but we all know that Ross can be capable of anything. He also said that he'd "nearly" done something but changed his mind as he would end up in jail if he stayed around Emmerdale. I took this to mean that he was going to kill Pete at the farm but didn't, maybe because he thought about the long-term consequences, and decided to leave Emmerdale for now, if not forever.
I still can't think of any motive for Ross to shoot Robert other than on behalf of somebody else for money. If Cain or Ross was the shooter, I'm not sure if he used a new gun or the one from Home Farm (Lachlan's). I do think Lachlan had his gun with him in the village that evening and then threw it away as he walked home but whether he just was scared after having seen Robert shot by someone else and Lachlan just threw the unused gun into the field or Lachlan had used the gun to shoot Robert with is another matter.
One of the scenes we haven't been shown yet is who was inside the pub when Robert was shot. Maybe Cain or Ross (or both) were in there at the time? We were shown the inside of the cafe and know who was in there at the time.
I do wonder if Chas lured Robert to the back of the pub by texting him minutes before and maybe leading Robert into a trap with the shooter already in place and known by Chas but I'm not sure if Chas would be told about the details of the hit if it was Cain doing the shooting (or Ross was doing it for Cain). Cain wasn't seen in the village that night as far as I remember. Ross could have done the shooting for Chrissie or even Lawrence, of course, with money likely to be the main motive.
There are still many questions to answer.

Jeff Hordley said in a Radio Times interview published on 13/10/15 that Cain steals a pair of scissors from Chrissie's room at Home Farm and then teases all of the guests downstairs about whether they had any role in Robert's shooting. Chrissie shouts in front of everyone there that she wishes Robert was dead. Cain later goes to the hospital to use Chrissie's scissors to puncture Robert's oxygen line and to frame Chrissie for trying to murder Robert.

Emmerdale spoilers: Sandy Thomas's future is called into question
By Sophie Dainty
Tuesday, Oct 13 2015, 00:01 BST
Sandy Thomas's future is called into question on Emmerdale next week after his son Ashley starts to worry that he can no longer look after himself.
The story kicks off when Ashley and Harriet Finch discover that Sandy has been stuck in the Woolpack bathroom for half an hour because he was too stubborn to ask for help.

Sandy probes a squirming Ashley about his supposed crush on Harriet.
The incident prompts Harriet to suggest to Ashley that Sandy should move in with them, but Ashley is nervous about trying to convince his father that it would be the best place for him.
As expected, Sandy's pride immediately takes over. After finally being honest with Ashley, he later puts his son in an upsetting predicament when he makes a big request.
With Harriet unaware of what Sandy requested, she is taken aback by Ashley's vehemence when he calls his father a 'selfish old git'.
Later, Harriet is shocked to learn of Sandy's right to die plea and convinces Ashley to have another word with him. What does the future hold for Sandy?
Emmerdale air these scenes on Tuesday, October 20, Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22 at 7pm on ITV.

So Robert wakes up from the coma and I suspect he will not show signs of pain and discomfort .... the one gripe I have about soap stories where characters are seriously hurt but their recovery is nearly instant .... looking forward to the reveal episode though :D

What has really bothered me for ages is that, on Sept 25th after Robert's shooting, Lachlan got something really awkward (and apparently heavy) from his left trouser pocket and then threw it into the field, he then got into Lawrence's car and was shifty and awkward himself when he knew he was being driven to the hospital where Robert had been taken after being shot.
25th September 2015, 8pm episode
Lawrence drives up alongside Lachlan as he's walking up the lane out of the village
Lawrence: Lucky. What are you doing out here?
Lachlan: I, I'm looking for Mum. She went off by herself.
Lawrence: Went off? Where?
Lachlan: Well if I knew that I would have found her.
Lawrence: Well get in, we'll call her on the way to the hospital.
Lachlan: What hospital?
Lawrence: Well haven't you heard? Robert's been shot.
Lachlan: Is he dead?
Lawrence: Well. Not yet, but it doesn't look good.
Lachlan: Do they know who shot him?
Lawrence: Funnily enough, I didn't stop to ask. Get in! We've wasted enough time as it is.
Lachlan gets into the car looking very shifty and worried, then looks through the window to the left, apparently thinking about what he's just thrown into the field.
Lachlan didn't say something like "Is he all right" as anyone would reasonably expect but "Is he dead?", as if he'd wanted this to happen and Lachlan had earlier done something to start the process and he was just checking if his actions had gone to completion?
There are other storyline/filming problems too:
1) Just why did Chas move to the right just before the bullet hit Robert? The lane to the Woolpack was to the left and there was nothing to the right of Chas except for the garages in the Woolpack car park. Is this just a soap TV continuity error or is there something deeper than this? (For example, was Chas '"in on the hit" and knew what was going to happen next?)
2) As Chas was so close to Robert when he got shot, is it credible that loving relations like Aaron and Cain could ever shoot at Robert when Chas was standing so nearby? Would even someone like Ross (even when hired) shoot when Chas was standing so close to Robert at the time?
3) Is the most likely shooter someone young, inexperienced in life and impulsive (like young Lachlan) or someone completely emotionally detached (like an outside hitman)?
My thoughts right now are that Cain wasn't too bothered about Robert before and around the time that Robert got shot but when he saw Aaron apparently suicidal in jail (October 19th) then everything changed, turned much darker and Robert became a marked man, so that's why Cain planned the hospital Robert asphyxiation plan later?
We still don't know who was inside the Woolpack at the time of Robert's shooting in the rear pub car park. But pub staff Doug, Diane and Victoria were quickly on the scene after Robert was shot, so too were Emmerdale characters who had been in the cafe, some distance away, so we can safely assume, I reckon, that these weren't directly involved with the shooting.
We know that Andy had checked into a mental health unit earlier that day (in Hotton?) but this doesn't mean that he couldn't have before/since hired someone to shoot Ross.
Ross could also have been hired to shoot Robert by a number of Emmerdale characters, including Aaron, Andy, Cain, Chrissie, Lawrence, etc. My general instinct suggests that this is not a Ross storyline, however, and for now I accept Ross's script explanation that he was leaving Emmerdale for now because he would otherwise kill Pete and end up in jail for a long time by doing this.
If we discount Cain, Aaron and Ross as being extremely unlikely to shoot at Robert when Chas was standing so close to him at the back of the Woolpack on September 25th then the main suspects who would be able to override any kind of sensible personal attitude for not progressing this scene when it happened would appear for now to be young Lachlan or a professional outside hitman?

I think that Chas came out of the back door of the Woolpack pub to meet Robert after she texted him to meet her there whilst Robert was talking to Lawrence in the upstairs Woolpack private lounge before Robert left Lawrence alone and Lawrence then broke the photo of Chrissie and Robert in anger after Robert had just told him? After leaving Lawrence, the video footage suggests that Robert made his way from the front of the Woolpack to meet Chas in the rear car park. It seems like the shooter was already in position behind Pear Tree Cottage (Jimmy's haulage company office). (This was near where Ross had previously been that afternoon, so maybe Ross had already staked the place out earlier and decided where to wait as a hired hitman and shoot Robert from if he got the chance later?)

Ross tells Debbie on Sept 25th that he's leaving Emmerdale for now, maybe forever / Ross looks back outside Debbie's house at the ambulance sent for Robert on Sept 25th
I think that maybe Chas moved to the right of Robert after telling him to leave Emmerdale just so as to make her way around Robert and re-enter the Woolpack through the back door of the pub?
We have all been so far led to think that Robert was the intended shooting target but maybe it isn't 'Who shot Robert' but 'Who shot at Chas and missed and shot Robert'? Just what a massive Chas-stalker twist and Robert non-story hoot that would be?
(I still think that Lachlan shot Robert though for now!)

The way I understand it is that the rewind episode will be a repeat of what we have already seen but with revelation of who the shooter is and a couple of other things. On the following Friday we carry on from the normal episode shown before the rewind but a lot of things will be much clearer to the viewers :)
that is boring if it is just a repeat of the episode last month when Robert was shot.

just wondering if anyone thinks Chrissie will serve Robert with divorce papers since she is already chasing Rakesh. I just hope and pray this is the end of chrissie and Robert there are not meant to be together.

Not quite just a repeat, you get to see who shot Robert and a couple of other things will be revealed too, I presume we find out what Paddy was up to and who with :ninja:

3 reveals
I think these might involve showing:
1) The identity of Robert's shooter on Friday September 25th.
2) How Paddy and Tess did some 'canoodling' on the same night before Robert got shot.
3) How Ashley is involved in a medical issue, either for himself (epilepsy/Alzheimer's/early dementia) or Sandy (prostate cancer/old-age depression/other).

It's time for another huge soap revelation tonight (October 22) as Emmerdale airs the resolution to the 'Who Shot Robert Sugden?' mystery.
The ITV soap will unveil the cunning culprit in a special hour-long 'rewind' episode, which takes viewers back to the night that Robert was shot four weeks ago.
Filling in all the blanks from that fateful evening, the flashback airing will show the crucial events leading up to the shooting, who pulled the trigger and what the surprising motive was.
As there were a few red herrings in the mix too, two other secrets will be revealed that will rock the village forever...

Looking forward to watching tonight. 90 mins :cheer:

Fortunately my boyfriend forgot that he said this so he is not in a position to gloat about getting it right. Ah what a shame:lol:
