Why is Aaron treated like a victim?

The writers of Emmerdale are trying to make Aaron appear as a victim yet he is not. Aaron lied to Andy, Diane, and Victoria he is an accessory to manslaughter. Yet the writers are trying to make it appear as though the audience should feel sorry for Aaron. Robert is a villain but Aaron is a scum bag he runs and cries to his mommy chas despite being a grown gay man. Paddy fights his battles yet Aaron is never accountable for his actions. Chas and Paddy always make excuses for his bad behaviour. If Aaron was a real man he would go to the police and admit his role in Katie death. Aaron is the one who tried to force Robert to come out as a gay man. Aaron is the one who lied for months about how katie died. Tired of this kid gloves treatment of Aaron. Also when is Aaron going to grow up? Move out of the pub and get his own apartment? When is Aaron going to start acting like a grown man?

And lets not forgot he started all of this when he phoned Katie, so she could catch him and Robert in the act of having an affair. If it wasn`t for Aaron, Katie might not have gone to Butlers farm, and wouldn`t have died falling through the floorboards.

For someone who is supposedly a tough guy, he sheds a lot of tears. Emmerdale must order tear sticks by the pallet load just for Aaron.
