It does sound like Max is convicted of Lucy's murder
It does sound like Max is convicted of Lucy's murder
So hope, not the case , but it does seem suspicious. Got concerned when Marcus started pulling the prosecution witnesses apart. Usually a bad sign in soap trials. Lauren has got to step up to the plate . Can't wait for Abi to be questioned by Marcus ,she's well overdue to be knocked off her perch. This Lucy murder needs wrapping up now ,getting too stupid for words. Then Deano is in bad need of been finally sorted out.

You're right. It's starting to sound like Max is gonna be found guilty. Thew newsreport asks "Will justice prevail?", but if we're going by past examples, then you'll know that in Walford, justice rarely happens. And we know Jake Wood is still off for a year, so it seems the easiest way to write his character off is by sending him to prison.
I am so getting tired of this storyline myself. Someone turn Bobby in already!!

I think it's the easier thing for a year off if he's innocent - too many people know the truth to leave him rotting in prison. Too much stuff involving him if he's wrongly locked up.
He'll wonder off and reappear when he's got some money again. A poor max is no fun.

Let's hope so.

After the shock EastEnders cliffhanger which saw Max Branning do a runner from court after he was found guilty of Lucy Beale's murder, he's about to make quite the discovery.
Although on the run from police, Max has stopped by the Beales' to question Jane about who she was covering up for, and Thursday's episode will see him correctly guess that it was Lucy's little brother Bobby.
Max realises this is why Jane gave him a fake alibi for the night of the murder by inventing an affair between the two. Hit play above to see him confront her after figuring it all out.
Max will be away from Albert Square for a while as actor Jake Wood takes a year off to spend time with his family.
Wood bows out from EastEnders later this week, but he has already signed a contract to return in late 2016.
EastEnders continues on Thursday (September 30) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
