Oh I think she will... she must! These spoilers cover the St Pancras train station scenes, so we're getting Gavin too. I think Sharon follows Phil to the station and gets a shock! I'm dying to see her reaction because this isn't the first time she's come face to face with a dead person. I'd love her to say, "For God's sake, doesn't anyone stay dead?!"...

EastEnders legend Kathy Beale will return to Walford later this month, taking a huge risk as she plans to come home for good.
A storyline twist during EastEnders' 30th anniversary week in February saw Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) meet up with her ex-husband Phil Mitchell, shocking viewers who had believed she died in a car crash in 2006.
Although Kathy made her intentions about wanting to return clear, Phil (Steve McFadden) firmly dismissed the idea and demanded that she stay away.
Upcoming scenes will see Phil receive a worrying call, which prompts him to head straight to The Arches where he finds Kathy waiting for him.
With everyone believing she is dead, a desperate Kathy knows she is making a risky move by returning to Albert Square. However, after coming face-to-face with Phil, she starts to reveal a plan she has devised which could allow her to come back properly.
As Kathy opens up to Phil about her worries, she soon finds herself begging for his help. Will she get the support she is looking for, or will Phil send her away again?

I think you ought to be a scriptwriter, lizann. Someone who understand the importance of Winston and Tracey is sorely needed.

Well, tonight was a surprise. I knew someone else was gonna find out about Bobby, but I was expecting it to be Carol, especially when Cindy asked Liam if there was anyone at his home.
So now Sharon knows the truth. This'll definitely put a spanner in the works, but I'm looking forward to seeing how she copes with it. I mean, just before that scene she was telling Max he would never get away with it, and how certain they all were of his guilt (unless you're a prophet, don't ever assume anything!). How will she ever deal with this? Although she was a bit naughty (never go through another person's mail, even if it is email!). I think she's gonna stay quiet, for Ian's sake, and plus she doesn't like Max anyway. Not to mention Phil would probably tell her to as well. Then again, this is a pretty big thing she'll be asked to stay quiet about (covering up a murder and letting someone else take the wrap). What does everyone else think she's gonna do?
Too bad Bobby didn't get the email first, as I would love to see his reaction. I personally agree with Cindy, as I think he needs to know the truth. At the least it will make him stop attacking Max's cars with bricks. But then again, if he does have anger issues, then chances are this revelation might spin him out of control.
(On a note: This is why you should always do things in person, and never by mail! Because you can never be sure the person you want will get the news straight!)
It's far from a warm welcome for EastEnders legend Kathy Beale tonight (August 18) as she gets locked in The Arches by Phil Mitchell.
Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) took a huge risk by returning to Albert Square in the closing moments of last night's episode, desperate for help from her ex-husband once again.
Furious to see Kathy back in Walford, Phil (Steve McFadden) makes a drastic move of his own by holding her captive in the car workshop.

Well, at least we've got a better idea now of what it is that'll send Ian suicidal after tonight's episode.
I actually thought Sharon was the one being hypocritical tonight instead of Ian. If anything, Denny's showing more violent signs than Bobby (tearing off a kid's hearing aid! What a little SOB!). "He's easily misled..." There's only so many times you can use that age old excuse, Sharon! Grow up and give that kid of yours the spanking/telling-off he needs, before he grows up to be a real hooligan. "I know you think I'm a bad mother..." Hello! You ARE a bad mother! You're allowing your son to go around attacking other kids without punishing him. Dot spoiled her son Nick, too, and look how well that turned out!
Another reason she should hurry up and deal with him, is because if she doesn't then Denny will carry on bullying other kids, and for all we know the next kid he bullies might be...Bobby! And we all know what happens when Bobby gets angry.

Kathy sees Ian tonight
"Will Kathy be able to stay away or are Sharon and Ian about to discover the truth?" I don't know why they say things like that in the newsreport, as we know she's not going to, because they've already released a newsstory telling us that Kathy reveals herself when Ian attempts suicide sometime in October.

I agreed with Sharon! Of course she's just as bad a parent with her constant excuses and lack of consequences for Denny's behaviour. However, I think she was specifically referring to an incident that happened several months ago when both Jane and Ian both had a go about her poor parenting skills.
Given that Sharon's now discovered they were at the time secretly covering for their own child's far more heinous crime, she's understandably angry at their patronising attitude. While I agree that bullying and tearing out a hearing aid are horrible and need punishing, I don't think they compare to Bobby's attack on Lucy.

Yeah, that's true. I agree with her being angry with them over that.
I don't agree, however, about whether Bobby or Denny are worse than the other. In my eyes, they're as bad as each other.
I think it depends really on what Bobby's circumstances were. If he's got that psycho-condition we talked about in another topic, then he can't control his anger, whereas Denny from what I can tell is just doing it for kicks. If, however, everything was all due to all the trauma Bobby's suffered over the past few years, with all the trouble with Ian and Lucy, then he just lost it temporary, but Denny seems to be doing this kind of thing regularly.
The only difference is that Denny has not yet killed anyone, but if he keeps going the way he is, chances are someday if he's not careful then he will kill someone, even if it is accidental. That's how it starts off; kids start bullying someone, and if they're not shown the error of their ways then they'll just doing it until it gets worse, and one day they'll go too far and might kill someone.
EastEnders airs emotional scenes tonight (August 21) as Kathy Beale sees her son Ian for the first time in years.
Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) comes into close contact with Ian by chance after Phil Mitchell's secretive behaviour begins to arouse suspicion.

Kathy arrives as Sharon and Ian confront Phil
The tense situation unfolds following Sharon's discovery of texts from "K" on Phil's phone, which has left her worried that he has another woman.
When Phil (Steve McFadden) angrily grabs his mobile back from Sharon, he sees that he needs to meet Kathy at St Pancras and makes an excuse to rush off.
Convinced that something dodgy is going on, Ian (Adam Woodyatt) and Sharon (Letitia Dean) decide to follow Phil to the station to find out what he's up to.
Tired of playing games, Sharon confronts Phil just as Kathy arrives to meet him. How will Kathy react when she finds herself under the same roof as her son?

Good post, although I don't agree that Denny's as bad as Bobby (though he possibly has the potential to be).
I think the writers have gone out of their way to show Bobby as a bit evil. Remember, when he attacked Lucy it was unprovoked, so I'm not sure it can be explained as a fit of temper. Sure, he was upset that she was causing trouble within the family, but there was nothing going on at the moment he struck her. It seems to have been a pre-meditated act.
Denny has the potential to go either way in my opinion. With good parenting, I think he's still young enough to grow into a decent enough young man (admittedly that's unlikely to happen :D).

I'm not sure if Bobby can be counted as evil. He's definitely troubled, but again we don't know yet his circumstances. If it's that psycho-condition then he can't help himself, and if it's not then, like you said, Lucy was causing a lot of trouble, which may have led to him experiencing some complicated but induced trauma (Bobby: "She was making everyone unhappy"), and Lucy's death and supposedly unsolved murder added to that, together now with the supposed revelation that Max is the guilty party. He thinks Max killed his sister, and he can't face him and have it out with him, as anyone would want to when the person responsible for their loved ones' death is found, which is adding more grief and anger. It's all very complicated.
As for the pre-meditated act on Lucy's murder; don't forget that Bobby's still a kid. Kids tend to lash out without thinking things clearly. He might have been feeling all the aggro from all the fighting and everything, and when he faced Lucy he just lashed out.
And I agree totally about Denny. Although, like you said, that's unlikely to happen unless Sharon opens her eyes and sees what's really happening with her son. At this rate, he'll be joining Bobby in prison.

.....and Ben and Jay and Abi....What is it about kids in Eastenders!?

The point I'm trying to make though is it doesn't seem to me that Bobby lashed out at Lucy. She was sitting on the settee and was perfectly friendly towards him when she saw him, so there was no immediate provocation.
He may be a kid but he was over the age of criminal responsibility when he hit, her so he's considered old enough to knowingly commit a crime. We saw his demeanour straight after Lucy's death (and also when he tried to attack Phil with the golf club) and he didn't appear to have lost control of himself.
The words "she was making everyone unhappy" sound like he was trying to punish her to me, which would be premeditated given they weren't in the midst of an argument.
The truth is though that it'll be impossible to know exactly what was going on in Bobby's head when he killed Lucy until we hear him speak about it.
.....and Ben and Jay and Abi....What is it about kids in Eastenders!?
Jay's nice enough though. He's just been unfortunate enough to have got mixed up with Ben Mitchell...
