I agree lizann..I think Moira has always come out as very selfish woman-only thinking of herself and Adam, no one else. Whatever has been going on, it's always been someone else's fault, never ever hers. Moira is doing my head in, I can't see anything great about her-plus that she's miserable and nagging all the time these days. If she actually gave in a little bit to Cain's ways instead of being too serious about everything, I might like her. Charity-or Chrissie, would suit Cain better.

Great idea lets put Cain with Charity who is not selfish at all, she's always happy, never cheats, or has dumped Cain for the next rich man. NOT !!! Charity deserves no one, for all the hurt she has caused. To call only call Moira a slapper when Charity has lied and slept with half the village at least Moira says she was wrong for what she did to John. Oh and Moira protects Adam, makes her a good Dingle as they always protect their own. Good for Moira trying to help Debbie away from making a similiar mistake to what she did. As for Chrissie she's just a rich housewife getting played for her money by a younger cheating husband.

It's funny how we all see different in the characters.

Agree with what you say about Charity &Chrissie.
That doesnt mean there isnt a problem with
Moira!!

Moira started off quite interesting when she was
first involved with Cain. But something has gone
wrong -not sure if its the acting or writing or
both - and shes now dull & boring.

I agree most mothers look.after their sons but
fortunately most mother dont have a son like
Adam. They now palmed him off on Victoria
who for a soap teenager was ok - so her character
now spoiled to some extent.

They need to rectify whats happened to Moira
and bin Adam. Then things might improve.

If not possible -get Cain a new woman- none
of the aforementioned!!

If they are going to keep Charity in it- there's
got to be some updating. Same old Same old
and those facial expressions when she thinks
shes been clever ........are stuck in teenage years.

I just think Charity and Cain still love each other-even after everything. And there's always been chemistry and fire burning between them too, which makes it more interesting to watch. No one wants to watch a forever happy couple in a soap, there has to be some twists and turns to make it more interesting. And with Charity, there was that. The same way I enjoyed watching Donna&Ross together, and even though with Debbie it's not as good, they would come fairly close as Ross with Donna did. Even my absolute top favourite Emmerdale couple Jimmy&Nico would be boring if they didn't have that funny side in them like they do.
As said-Moira seemed fine in the beginning, but she's sitting on this high horse all the time these days judging everyone else-including her husband. She's complaining all the time how Cain has secrets, but how about her own secrets?? I had enough of her when there was this episode with Aaron and Adam and she had no sympathy towards Chas for Aaron but it was all about Adam-always has been. Adam should grow up but how can he, when his mummy is protecting him all the time. She would be more interesting if she gave in to Cain's ways sometimes..
Chrissie and Cain have more chemistry between them too than Moira and Cain have never had..!

ps.I hate when soap mums treat their adult sons like babies and keep referring them as 'boys' all the time...! :D

I don't think it's about how people should ideally behave in the soap land. It's about what makes the audience to watch it.
None of us would watch perfectly happy couples every day of the week, would we? No, I wants drama in my soaps!
Cain and Charity together would bring plenty of it-although I do think they have been put together so many times, that it's better to keep them apart because that way we can keep that fire between them going forever :)
Yeah-maybe Charity wouldn't deserve anyone in the real life, but this is soap-she needs another rich man again :) And Cain on the side ;)
Moira is a slapper-because she's judging everyone else all the time after what's she's done herself, that's the most annoying type of person there can be. Plus that she's dead boring to watch..! At least someone like Emma has more personality in her that makes her more interesting character. Same as Chrissie. And again-if Robert and Chrissie were happy together all the time-I wouldn't watch it. Why would I ?
They really need to sort out Moira..or split her up with Cain.

Round-up:

Carly is left feeling guilty when Bob has to sell his car to pay for the plumber, but Ross has an idea and he enlists her help in stealing one of Jimmy’s vans. Things go wrong when Ross hits the driver over the head and Jimmy is in trouble when the man turns out to be an illegal immigrant. Diane’s suspicions are aroused when she sees Carly handing over a wad of cash to Bob. He eventually comes clean about the source of the money and Diane tells him that he will have to let Brenda know. Brenda is just beginning her speech at Gennie’s memorial when Bob arrives and confesses all. Brenda screams at Carly and slaps Val - but will she go to the police? When Kirin approaches Pollard and asks to rent Jacob’s fold, offering six month’s cash up front, Rakesh is angry but Kirin tells him to butt out. Ross asks Debbie to admit that she cares for him and they kiss but still she refuses to leave Pete. As plans for the wedding proceed, Moira asks Pete if he will invite Ross to be an usher. Then she rounds on Debbie, telling her that she has seen her and Ross kissing and that it is decision time. Paddy tries to warn Aaron about Robert but he will have none of it. Paddy is even more worried when Aaron wins Lawrence’s award, thinking that Robert is up to his old tricks. Emma and Dr Bailey go on another date but he is beginning to find her too intense and off-putting. When he tells her they are through, she retaliates by trashing his office. Laurel and Marlon drift further apart - is this the end of the road for the couple?

I totally disagree about Moira, all soap characters have double.standard none more than Chas, Charity,Debbie etc, they have all had a go at Moira for her actions yet done the same themselves. So they are all the worst kind of slapper then. Moira and Cain need storylines that don't involve ex`s and their not so perfect kids, because like Adam, Debbie is hardly a saint. The selfish comment makes me laugh she is looking after Noah, her husband's ex`s son, not many would do that. Yes we watch for the drama, but drama doesn't always mean cheating and affairs, other storylines make good drama. I dislike the character of Emma but we are supposed to so she plays it well.

I not anti-Moira in the way some posters are but
am.puzzled as to why her character has changed
so much and she was become boring -for want of
a better word.

You could well be right in your reasoning. She
treats Adam as an infant(probably justifiably)
and something is affecting her relationship
with Cain.

So perhaps some overwhelming need to"mother"
which can affect some women her age( for various
reasons) maybe reason for character change.
I had noted it had happened but not considered
reason in any depth.

So thanks Lizann.

I had liked her & Cain initially -so perhaps their
relatiinship can revert to how it was!!

I think Moira needs to be more feisty and embrace her own and also Cain's dark naughty side :p

Noah clearly loves being at the farm with Moira and Cain, he has stability there, when Charity is released it will hard for her to get Noah to come live with her where ever she will live

Why are there posts hating on Moira, when clearly she is the only one to understand just what Debbie is going through. And BTW I am getting sick and tired of the Ross/Debbie storyline choose Pete already. And will Charley Webb real-life pregnancy be apart of this story as Ross baby? OMG I blemmin hope not, so predictable if thats the case.

Over on Emmerdale, Tracy Shankley gets the wrong idea when she finds her porn DVD playing out on screen at Jimmy King's home.

A curious Rodney Blackstock puts the saucy film on at Jimmy's place as he doesn't have a DVD player of his own at home.

As Rodney leaves the DVD in the player after his visit, Tracy (Amy Walsh) gets an unwelcome surprise when she later switches on the TV at Jimmy's place and sees her film playing out in all its glory.

Tracy gets upset at the thought that Jimmy (Nick Miles) has been watching the movie and storms out. However, when Jimmy learns of the misunderstanding, he assures Tracy that he wouldn't disrespect her like that.

Jimmy showers Tracy with compliments in a bid to win her back round, but he gets much more than he bargained for when she responds by kissing him!
