Round-up:
As Anna, Tim and Gary prepare for Miley’s christening, Faye is dreading the event. On the day itself the pressure is too great and when she runs out of the church Tim calls the ceremony to a halt. Josie and Greig approach him and suggest that it might be best for Miley to live with them. Tim agrees to talk to Anna and Faye, but how will they react? David, Gail, Audrey and Nick all attend Kylie’s first drug counselling session, but the meeting soon descends into chaos when Michael turns up and David starts to air the family’s dirty laundry in public. At the gym, Mary notices Dev’s interest in Talisa, but Julie is blissfully unaware that his feelings have changed. Brian is still moping around at the Barlows and getting on Tracy’s nerves. When he buys two luxury holidays to try and woo Julie back, Tracy the minx comes up with a crafty plan to get rid of him – find another Julie Carp! Fiz and Tyrone are increasingly suspicious of Cathy’s intentions towards Roy. When Fiz finds her washing in the ladies at the Rovers she claims that her boiler is broken, then rushes away from Roy at the bus stop. What exactly is she hiding? Erica is appalled to discover that Nick has thrown her a surprise birthday party at the Bistro, telling everyone that she’s 50. She runs off home leaving Nick to be comforted by Carla – and it’s clear that there’s still a spark there. Alya tells Jason that she can’t live with their guilty secret any longer but he implores her to keep quiet.
As i suspected Cathy is struggling to pay bills since her husband died. I bet she has no hot water at home.

Yes-a sad reality for some women who are
widowed.
But not the " dark" storyline hyped by the
soap producer!
Real life can be bad enough without
over-playing things!!

Coming up on Coronation Street, Erica Holroyd will fear for her unborn baby when she experiences pains while attending a quiz night at The Rovers.
Tragedy strikes just as Nick (Ben Price) is preparing to be honest with Erica over his growing feelings for Carla Connor.
Nick decides that he needs to tell Erica (Claire King) the truth after his brother David starts interrogating him about the obvious chemistry between him and Carla.
Before Nick gets a chance to speak to Erica, the quiz night begins and Erica acts as the question master for Liz McDonald.
Sadly, as she's delivering questions, Erica suddenly experiences terrible pains and Liz orders Nick to take her to the hospital immediately.
At the hospital, Erica and Nick are left devastated when they receive bad news and Nick later finds himself turning to Carla in the Bistro. Will she be able to support him when he needs her the most?

This will be difficult as he asked her to move in mainly because of the baby. He will probably be a gentleman and still make a go of things.

I think Erica looks much older than Nick too..!? And very masculine..doesn't suit Nick at all! Carla and Nick would be a great match! Always liked both too! <3
And one year is a long time for a soap couple! :D
Her jeans look really tight. I know its early days. I think she has had some sort of plastic surgery and it has not had the desired result.

Erica and Nick are just so unsuited to each other! Erica is far too old for him..! She's acting to be 49 but in reality she must be at least nearly 60! And pregnant?? Just doesn't look right to me..
The sooner they are over, the better.

According to Wiki the actress is 52 so not much older than she is meant to be in her role. Women can become pregnant at that age but I agree with you, I don't like Erica and Nick together, hopefully it is over soon
Erica and Nick are even more ridiculous when you think that Nick is actually only supposed to be 34. There was an outcry when Price was cast as he is nearly ten years older than the character and looked older than the previous Nick.
Claire is believable as 49 year old Erica, and she even looks out of place with Nick who looks older than he is!
Sorry to say but she does look older than 52! Maybe she's smoking which does age you..Or her style on corrie.. And I was being kind with my guess 60! Nick is fine, I thought he's around 40..or late 30's

Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow will go to extreme lengths to try to get Brian Packham to leave Weatherfield next week.
Brian (Peter Gunn) is desperate to win back Julie Carp's heart following his return to the cobbles, but his efforts prove to be in vain next week as she remains determined that her future is with Dev Alahan.
While Julie gives Brian his marching orders, she is unaware that Dev's feelings for her have changed and he is currently pursuing his new love interest Talisa.
With Brian seemingly getting nowhere in his bid to win Julie back, Tracy (Kate Ford) grows intolerant of his presence and becomes desperate for him to leave.
Increasingly fed up with the sight of Brian at Number 1, Tracy is then naturally unimpressed to be greeted by him at the breakfast table, whilst wearing Ken's kimono. She soon urges him to be more proactive in his bid to win back Julie.

Its quite a common thing (in soaps) to.have
couples were the woman is noticably larger/
taller than the man. It happens in real life
too because " love is blind" but not so often
as in soaps. I wont give examples - as some
seem to be" favourite " couples and don't
want to upset anyone.
Perhaps someone in Casting has a bit of
a " Napoleon " complex??
I do agree Nick & Erika not well- matched
but usually soap couples are just 2 characters
who were unattached at the time and it
gave them a storyline(regardless of suitability)

I dont think Nick and Erica would have stayed a long term couple had she not fallen pregnant?
it was a bit of fun for them both at a time they both needed it, and that would have been that.....
I too think Erica's a believable 49 year old. Maybe she does look a bit older, but then so do many 49 years olds in real life. I'd much prefer that than have an actress like Beverly Callard who's so botoxed she can only move her mouth and always looks astonished. It really hampers the acting in my opinion (and I like Liz).
i love the way Liz dresses if makes me laugh sometimes especially when she tries to carry off miniskirts
