Coming up on Emmerdale, Cain Dingle is left furious when Joanie Wright returns to the village with Kyle.

Viewers will know that Joanie (Denise Black) is the adoptive grandmother of Cain's son following his one-night stand with Amy Wyatt back in 2011.

Joanie still has custody of Kyle, but she is currently struggling to cope after landing in financial difficulty and living in temporary accommodation.

After being contacted by Joanie, Cain (Jeff Hordley) heads off to meet her at a scruffy-looking house and gives her some money to put a deposit on a flat.

Once he has handed over the money, Cain insists that he doesn't want to see or hear from either of them ever again, but is unhappy when Joanie later turns up in the village declaring that she has been mugged and has nowhere to stay.

Cain's anger increases when he realises that Zak has taken sympathy on Joanie and offered her and Kyle somewhere to stay. How will Cain cope having his son so close?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday, June 17 at 7pm on ITV.

When Jai misleads Rachel over the time of the mediation meeting, she lets rip and Sam has to stop her from physically attacking him. Later her anger changes direction and Sam is in the firing line. He lies about his injuries to Ruby and Rachel tries to reassure him that she will never hurt him again – but can he trust her now? Emma is excited as James appears to be having doubts about going through with the divorce. Finn is alarmed and warns his father that Emma has been trying to drive a wedge between him and Chas. Emma is now in the grip of an obsession and storms into the farm with a shocking announcement for Moira. At the prison, Charity is happy to see Cain but the meeting does not end well. Andy feels guilty when Diane tells him that she has received a message from Victoria while Aaron enjoys winding Robert up by pretending to know where Victoria and Adam are. Robert is in trouble with Chrissie when she finds Adam’s phone down the back of the sofa but he tries to cover by pretending that it is a gift for Lachlan. Cain meets up with Joanie and gives her some money for a deposit, warning her that he never wants to see her again. When she turns up at the B&B claiming to have been mugged and has nowhere to stay, Val turns her away. Later, Cain is furious when Zak tells him that he and Lisa have taken Joanie and Kyle in. Realising that Robert is lying, Chrissie sets off to find Aaron – but runs into Cain instead. They argue but anger soon turns to passion and they kiss – unaware that they are being watched. As Ashley has another seizure he receives help from an unlikely quarter. Carly continues to make plans for the shop opening, but David drops a bombshell.

Sam wakes a drowsy Rachel for the mediation meeting, but she rushes off to be sick. Outside, Jai is pleased to see that his plan is working and tells an oblivious Sam that their mediation has been moved to later in the day. A furious Rachel realises she has been set up and Sam has to stop her from hitting Jai. Zak attacks Jai and warns him against messing with Rachel and Sam, but has he made the situation worse?

That evening, Sam grows nervous as Rachel blames him for everything that has happened with Jai. Sam is soon left terrified by Rachel's behaviour…

Meanwhile, when Emma is caring and helpful, it throws her once again into James's proximity. Emma is thrilled at her closeness with James as he thanks her for helping. James also begins having doubts about divorcing her. Has Emma's plan worked?

Elsewhere, Andy feels guilty when Diane talks about the message she received from Victoria, but is left suspicious about Robert. Aaron enjoys winding Robert up as he pretends to know where Victoria and Adam are, but as Robert tries to distract himself by being passionate with Chrissie, he unwittingly drops Adam's phone down the sofa.

Also today, Emma overhears a conversation between Chas and Debbie regarding Cain.

Emma is encouraged when James admits to having doubts about their divorce. An alarmed Finn warns James of Emma's recent attempts to break him up from Chas.

James then heads to Dale View, where he tells a shocked Emma that he has signed the divorce papers. However, an obsessed Emma is left dangerously determined as she insists they will all learn from this. What is she capable of next?

Meanwhile, Cain receives a visiting order to see Charity and Moira urges him to go. Suddenly Emma storms into the farm angry over James, blaming everyone for turning him against her. She also has a shocking announcement in store for Moira.

Elsewhere, Sam lies about his injuries as he tells Ruby what Jai did yesterday. Rachel is full of regret as she apologises to Sam for last night, telling him that she loves him. Rachel promises that she'll never hurt him again, but can Sam trust her and will he forgive her for attacking him?

Also today, Chrissie is suspicious when she finds Adam's phone, but Robert covers and pretends it's a gift for Lachlan. Robert is determined to keep an eye on Cain after Andy mistakenly suspects that he knows where Adam and Victoria are hiding.

Finally, Dan is excited about starting college tomorrow and he refuses to let Cain stop him.

Cain is disappointed to have to defend himself again over Charity. Moira is left unsettled as a result. Soon afterwards, Moira realises that Cain lied about a meeting and has gone to see Charity despite everything. Meanwhile, a guilty Finn begs Emma to let the past go and confesses that it was him who told James. He engineers a date between Emma and the doctor, who later realise they've been set up.

Elsewhere, after Robert reveals that Cain might know where Adam and Victoria are hiding, private investigator Harriet begins following Cain but is stalled by her broken-down car. Robert's pursuit of Victoria raises Chrissie's suspicions when she sees him giving Ross money to fix the car.

Also today, Kerry is disturbed to see Dan engrossed in his college assignment. Kerry secretly begins to copy Dan's work from his laptop but is caught out by Amelia.

Joanie turns up at the B&B, explaining that she has been mugged and now has nowhere to stay. Val turns her away and Cain fumes when he sees them in the village.

Later, Zak tells a furious Cain and Moira that Joanie and Kyle are staying with them for a while. Moira confronts Cain over Kyle, but Cain knows what she has done. Has Moira gone too far?

Meanwhile, Chrissie is furious, knowing Robert is lying about the phone she found. She goes to find Aaron but ends up in an argument with Cain. He angrily pushes her away, but anger soon turns to passion and the pair kiss, unaware they're being watched.

Elsewhere, Kerry is bragging to Bernice about college when an angry Dan bursts in, having discovered that Kerry copied his work. Kerry is left red faced when he rips up her assignment, but she soon has another plan up her sleeve.

Also, Harriet feels sidelined when Laurel offers to go with a nervous Ashley to the coffee morning. Bernice arrives to check on Ashley, but panics when he falls to the floor and has a seizure. Will Laurel be the one to take control of the situation?

Finally, Emma bumps into the doctor she has been trying to avoid and is forced into going on another date. Emma is disinterested until she sees James arrive and plays up for his benefit.

Cain and Chrissie continue to kiss, still unaware they're being watched. As a shocked Harriet looks through her photos, Cain comes to his senses and pushes Chrissie away.

Later, Chrissie is worried when Robert admits that he has hired Harriet to find Victoria and she has been following Cain all day. She also feels guilty as he explains that the phone is Adam's and he has been using it to text Moira. That evening, Harriet goes to Robert for her payment, but will she reveal Chrissie's betrayal and show Robert the photos?

Meanwhile, Ashley comes round from his seizure and is grateful to Laurel. He convinces Laurel not to call Harriet and explains how the epilepsy is taking over his life, but Harriet later finds out. Laurel and Ashley look at an expensive wristband which warns about seizures, but Ashley is aware that he cannot afford it. Harriet wants to get the money to help Ashley, but does it mean shopping Chrissie to Robert?

Elsewhere, Lisa comes home to find that Joanie has tidied the house and started making tea. Biting her lip, Lisa suggests they head to the pub instead and Zak gives Lisa a smile, proud of her. Zak and Lisa try to convince Joanie to allow Kerry to see Kyle but she refuses, leaving Kerry heartbroken.

Also, a scared Moira arrives at The Woolpack looking for Cain. Later, the couple passionately make up.

Finally, Dan realises that he cannot juggle his own college work, his job and complete Kerry's college work too.

Chrissie worries that Robert will find out about her kiss with Cain. She is relieved when he appears oblivious, instead playfully suggesting they get back to bed - but is it all an act?

Later, Cain heads to The Woolpack, where he is unsettled to find Moira talking business with Robert, who invites them round for dinner. Paddy notices a nervous Harriet earwigging their conversation and grows suspicious of Robert.

That evening, Robert is taken aback when he sees Chrissie ready for their dinner party with Cain and Moira, but what exactly has he got planned?

Meanwhile, Cain accuses Joanie of taking advantage of his family and warns her to leave the village for good. Zak and Lisa are shocked as Joanie makes to leave with Kyle, despite their protests. She lies that she has somewhere else lined up, but she is secretly dreading where she'll go next.

Whilst rushing to make a quick getaway from the village, Joanie bumps into Kerry, who insists she can't leave with Kyle. Joanie maintains that Kerry is unfit to be a grandmother. Belle is gutted to learn that Joanie and Kyle have left, so Zak and Lisa decide to look for her. At the same time, Joanie returns home, but it's a terrifying scene that awaits her...

Elsewhere, Carly continues to make preparations for the shop opening and Brenda offers her help, but her jokes about owning a share of the business leave Bob, Carly and Val feeling awkward. Later, David pulls out of the shop sale leaving Bob and Carly aghast, but why?

Meanwhile, new Emmerdale pictures show the moment that Harriet Finch photographs Cain Dingle and Chrissie Sugden as they share a passionate kiss.

As Chrissie (Louise Marwood) becomes more suspicious over her husband Robert's loyalty, she takes her anger out on Cain and the two end up having an argument.

However, the pair's anger soon turns to passion and they end up kissing while being watched by Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton).

Although Cain comes to his senses and pushes Chrissie away, they are unaware that a shocked Harriet has snapped their illicit kiss on her phone.

Kerry helped Amy with taking Kyle from playschool and they were going to Ireland .. Cain found out and managed to get Amy to go on her own. Amy returned found out where Joanie lived and befriended her before Joanie found out that Amy is Kyle's birth mother, plenty of history there for Joanie not liking Kerry very much ..I think this is how it went ...
