Over on Emmerdale, Adam Barton's one-night stand with Vanessa Woodfield will have terrible repercussions when Victoria Sugden discovers the truth.
Adam and Vanessa's big secret is exposed next week when they arrange a private DNA test for Vanessa's unborn baby but are caught in the act by Kirin Kotecha. Things get worse when Kirin's father Rakesh alters the DNA test results to put him off Vanessa for good.
After a devastated Kirin announces to everyone in the pub that Adam is the father of Vanessa's baby, a furious Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) is determined to get answers.
Feeling fired up, Victoria heads out to her car and leaves an angry voicemail for Adam (Adam Thomas) before speeding off and almost running him over.
Adam is horrified at Victoria's carelessness and the pair soon get into a heated argument, which results in an angry and distracted Victoria speeding off again.
However, Ashley Thomas (John Middleton) is the victim of her rage as Victoria's car hits him and knocks him hard to the ground. Will Ashley be alright?

Adam's relationship is in tatters as Victoria refuses to talk, throwing a bin bag of his belongings at him. Rakesh thinks Kirin should focus on his education, but is frustrated when Kirin tells him that he can't walk away if the baby is his.
At the same time, Robert suggests that Victoria should get revenge on Adam and she is alarmed when Robert sets him up with stolen goods. Rakesh asks Leyla for Vanessa's number, but while she is out of the room, he spots the DNA results letter and takes it. Once home, Rakesh is horrified when he reads the results. What will Rakesh do with the information?
Meanwhile, Leyla gets rid of Carly by sending her to the shop. Jai then comes downstairs, having spent the night with Ley;a. She tells him it was a mistake, but later she is shocked when Jai returns, telling her that she is all he can think about. Is the affair back on?
Elsewhere, Kerry devises a story to kill off Bernice's fake boyfriend as Bernice wells up.

Adam is determined to make things up with Victoria, but matters get worse when he learns that Vanessa's baby is his after all. Victoria is now uneasy, knowing what Robert has done, and she is further panicked when Robert tells her that he has already called the police.
Later, Victoria is floored when Kirin announces the baby is Adam's. She heads out to her car as she leaves an angry voicemail for Adam. As Victoria speeds off in the car, she almost knocks down Adam. Horrified at what she could have done, they argue. A distracted and angry Victoria goes to speed off again, but this time she hits Ashley, who is following Laurel out of the pub following another row over her drinking.

Ashley is dazed and confused as he picks himself up from the road, but he assures Victoria and Adam that he is fine and heads to find Laurel. However, Ashley soon realises that his head is bleeding and collapses soon afterwards. Nobody knows what is wrong as paramedics speed him off. In the hospital, Harriet and Sandy are given the news that Ashley has had a head trauma and is now in a medically-induced coma. Adam and Victoria panic over the news.
Meanwhile, Laurel is dealt a blow from the clinic, but she wants to be honest about it with Marlon. Laurel arrives at the party and asks to speak to Marlon in private, confessing the news. A horrified Marlon is forced to admit that he has made enquiries about them officially separating. Later, Marlon feels bad when Harriet and Rhona advise him that it was hard for Laurel to make the admission she did.
Elsewhere, Vanessa is floored when a drunk Kirin makes her an offer.

Ashley remains unconscious in hospital. Laurel panics when she is questioned by a judgemental police officer, who implies that she had an altercation with Ashley which resulted in him being brought into hospital.
Soon afterwards, Victoria panics to discover that Adam has scrapped her car. She is feeling awful about Ashley so offers to accompany Diane to the hospital. Once there, Victoria looks on guiltily when Harriet suggests that Laurel injured Ashley. Back home, a terrified Victoria tells Adam how Laurel is getting the blame for hurting Ashley. She is taken aback when he says that he'll take the blame for her.

Back at the hospital, Laurel lets herself into the toilet cubicle and takes a big swig of vodka. Later. Adam comes downstairs, bemused to see that there is no sign of Victoria. It suddenly dawns on him where she is…
Meanwhile, David and Alicia are getting ready to leave. But with things a mess between Alicia and Leyla and Carly holding bad news over the shop, it's going to be an emotional departure.
Elsewhere, Emma enjoys having banter with her boys and likes feeling like they are a proper family - so much so that she invites herself to the pub with James. When she sees an opportunity to keep James in the village and jeopardise his move, she takes sly action.
Also today, Leyla is exasperated by Jai's attitude as she tells him how guilty she is about Megan. She soon hates herself for falling herself back into his arms.

Victoria braces herself as she finally confesses to both Harriet and Laurel that it was her who ran down Ashley. Laurel is drunk and reacts badly, while Harriet is not happy either. Matters take a turn for the worse when Harriet realises that Laurel is drunk at Ashley's bedside and the pair argue, resulting in Harriet slapping Laurel. When Sandy arrives, Ashley suddenly takes a turn for the worse as he convulses and the machines start beeping. Harriet, Laurel and Sandy are terrified about whether Ashley will pull through.
At the same time, Robert tells Victoria that if Ashley doesn't wake up she could be charged with hit and run and sent to prison, leaving Victoria worried.

Meanwhile, Carly hasn't yet been honest with the Pollards regarding the bank loan and the fact that she won't be able to purchase the shop. Bob urges her to tell them soon. Later when Val overhears Carly telling Ross about their planned deception idea of disguising Pearl as Brenda for the bank meeting, a plan forms.
Elsewhere, James is angry, believing Chas has lost him the flat. Emma suggests he can stay on their sofa, but Finn is soon suspicious and susses out what Emma has done. Will he confront her?
Also, Leyla worries she might have jeopardised her relationship with Jai when she is intolerant of Archie.

A drunken Laurel gets in the way of doctors who are trying to treat Ashley, so Harriet orders her home. The doctor explains that Ashley has suffered a seizure and they need to run tests to find out what caused it. Back in the village, drunken Laurel sees Sandy sobbing in Edna's arms and assumes the worst - that Ashley is dead, with disastrous consequences as she passes on the 'news'.
Later, Laurel makes a vow that she will give up drinking but Harriet is alarmed by what she has just overheard.
Meanwhile, Adam gives a statement to the police but it only makes them doubt Victoria's innocence.
Elsewhere, Finn listens as Emma admits that she's in love with James and insists he could love her too, leaving Finn worried by the depths of Emma's feelings. Emma wants Finn to prove her case to James, but can he do it?
Also, Leyla offers to babysit, determined to prove herself to Jai, but it backfires when she leaves him unattended near a marker pen!
Finally, Val has a plan and Carly is anxious, wondering what Val is up to. Later, Val dresses as Brenda, convinced she can fool the bank, leaving Bob shocked. Will he go ahead with the bank meeting?

At the hospital, the doctor explains that Ashley won't be able to have many visitors once he wakes up. Harriet insists it will just be her, determined to shut Laurel out.
Later, Laurel apologises to Gabby and explains that she has been drinking too much and is going to get help. She later tells Doug that she is going to an AA meeting and he offers to go with her, but will Marlon be so accepting of her new resolve?
Meanwhile, it's the bank meeting and Bob is nervous about committing fraud, but Val - dressed as Brenda - tells him to relax and insists they will not get caught. Back at the café, Carly anxiously waits for them to return, but will the plan work or will Brenda's curiosity cause her to ask too many questions as to Bob's whereabouts?
Elsewhere, Adam admits to Victoria that he's made a mess of things. After mutual acknowledgement, Victoria asks Adam to marry her but she is soon worried by news regarding Ashley.
Also today, Leyla needs help to get the marker pen off Archie, terrified of Jai's reaction.
Finally, Kerry gets in Dan's bad books and Debbie gets put out.

Laurel turns up at Ashley’s bedside having fortified herself with a swig of vodka. Horrified to see her drunk, Harriet slaps her and orders her out. Before she can leave, however, Ashley goes into convulsions. In her stupor, Laurel is convinced that he is dead. David and Alicia make plans to leave the village and she braces herself to reveal the details of Leyla’s affair. James makes plans to move out of Emmerdale, but Emma is determined to thwart them and get him back for good. Carly’s hopes of buying the shop seem dashed until Bob comes up with a plan. He decides to approach the bank himself, with Val masquerading as Brenda.
Emmerdale's Harriet Finch loses her composure in tonight's double bill (June 4) after Laurel Dingle pushes her too far.
Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) initially has to apologise to Laurel this evening after Victoria Sugden tells them both that she was to blame for Ashley's recent accident. However, despite Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) being in the clear, it's not long before she's at loggerheads with Harriet once again.
With Laurel in turmoil over Ashley's condition, she turns up at his hospital bedside in a drunken state - infuriating Harriet once her latest relapse becomes obvious.
The booze soon brings out Laurel's nasty side again as she goads Harriet with some nasty remarks, which leads to Harriet lashing out by slapping her. Will Laurel show any remorse for her latest bad behaviour?
