Back in the place that holds so many memories of Tara, Oliver is thrown. Self-doubt takes hold and he is unable to function properly as a surgeon. Elliot has put his reputation on the line to back Oliver's return to Darwin, but it's clear to everyone else that he is far from ready.
When Oliver fails to spot an unexplained mass on an echocardiogram, his patient is forced to endure their second major surgery of the day. Oliver is utterly dejected and Hanssen demands answers. Oliver confesses how hard he has found it to return to Holby, but can he put the ghosts of his past to bed and concentrate on his future?

Meanwhile, Raf's mysterious patient Lucy arrives back on AAU with yet more unexplained injuries. When he finally uncovers the shocking truth about who has been inflicting these wounds, Raf wants to protect her. Will Lucy be brave enough to accept his help?
Elsewhere, Sacha freaks Essie out when he invites her to meet his kids. Out of her comfort zone with teenagers, Essie makes an excuse to miss it. However, the truth is that because things are going so well with Sacha, she doesn't want to rock the boat. Knowing how much his kids mean to Sacha, Essie eventually pushes her doubts aside and sets a date when they can all get together as a family.
