Meanwhile, EastEnders will air Bonnie Langford's first scenes later this month as her character Carmel Kazemi arrives in Albert Square.

It was announced earlier this year that the singer and stage actress had been cast in the role of Kush's mother, and Carmel will arrive in Walford following the news that her son is engaged.

Upcoming episodes will see Kush propose to his on-off girlfriend Shabnam Masood (Rakhee Thakrar), shortly after he shares a kiss with Stacey Branning.

Following the engagement, a nervous Shabnam prepares to meet Carmel for the first time and starts making preparations.

However, Carmel's arrival couldn't come at a worse time for the family following a massive row between Shabnam and Masood over her secret daughter.

While Shabnam keeps herself busy by making dinner for Carmel, Masood tells Tamwar that he knows where his granddaughter is and attempts to make contact.

When Carmel arrives, Masood is nowhere to be found and a distracted Shabnam demands to know the truth from her brother.

With tensions among the Masoods at an all-time high, will Shabnam be able to make a good first impression, or will her frosty behaviour be too much for Carmel?

Kush and Shabnam celebrate their engagement, but more trouble seems to be looming when a conversation with Shirley makes Masood doubt whether his daughter is telling the truth about the baby. When Masood demands the truth from Shabnam, she is finally honest with him. A furious Masood then storms over to see Dean but Shabnam begs him not to say anything.

As the truth comes out, tension rises between Masood and Shabnam and they exchange some harsh home truths. Later, Fatima has another bombshell for Masood - revealing that the baby was fostered rather than being adopted. Fatima then admits that she knows where Shabnam's daughter is...

Meanwhile, Kim clashes with Donna when she assumes that Donna is on a date with Vincent. The row escalates when Kim takes drastic action. Vincent ends up intervening by carrying Kim back home, but this infuriates her further so she tells Denise and Shirley that she is going to the police and reporting Vincent for assault.

Later, Vincent returns to make an apology to Kim but they are interrupted when the police turn up to arrest him. Kim insists that she didn't call the police, but is this the truth?

Elsewhere, despite Martin's flirty behaviour, Stacey agrees to let him move into her spare room as a friend. Martin still wants more from Stacey and tells Kush that he will be marrying her within the year.

Vincent is questioned by the police over the disappearance of the drug dealer in Dot's court case. He is eventually released on bail. Soon afterwards, Kim's birthday gets off to a bad start when Donna arrives and demands to know why she called the police. When Vincent returns to the Square, he assures Donna that it wasn't Kim. He also asks Donna to be his alibi, but when she refuses, he is forced to ask Kim instead.

Following a convincing speech from Vincent, Kim goes to the police station and lies for him, but she later becomes suspicious over his intentions. Kim orders Vincent to leave, but he stands firm and wins her round by insisting that he wants to be her husband and Pearl's father. The happy atmosphere doesn't last for long as Donna later tells Kim that Vincent got rid of the drug dealer for Ronnie.

Meanwhile, Shabnam is busy preparing a dinner for Kush's mum Carmel. Masood tells Tamwar that he knows where Shabnam's daughter is, and although Tamwar insists that he should stay away, Masood attempts to make contact. When Carmel arrives for the meal later, Shabnam is surprised that Masood is suddenly nowhere to be found and demands an explanation from Tamwar. The dinner continues to go downhill until Masood arrives back home. Has he found his grandchild?

Elsewhere, still recovering in hospital, Ronnie grows jealous of Roxy's relationship with Matthew and Charlie. In response, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

Also today, Martin is feeling optimistic as he moves in with Stacey, but does she share the same feelings as him?

Finally, Liam is growing frustrated over Carol interfering in his life. He is given an opportunity by Donna, but Carol encourages him to decline the offer until his exams are over.

Kim is stunned following Donna's bombshell but when she confronts Vincent, he denies having feelings for Ronnie. Kim makes an excuse to leave but when Vincent realises that she is going to see Ronnie, he calls Ronnie to warn her. Later on, Vincent heads to see Kim but what will he say to her?

As the day continues, Roxy is also shocked after hearing a revelation from Ronnie, which sparks an argument between the sisters. Roxy storms out of the hospital and Ronnie fears that she has gone to tell Charlie the truth about Vincent. Later at The Vic, Roxy gets drunk and talks to Nancy about Ronnie, before ultimately making a decision. Vincent also heads to see Charlie and reveals that Ronnie is in love with him, but how will Charlie react to this?

Charlie visits the hospital to confront Ronnie about Vincent, but he holds off when she tells him that she is coming home today. Once they are back home and alone together, Charlie asks Ronnie about Vincent. How will she react?

Later, Phil has a run-in with Vincent and pays a visit to Ronnie afterwards, telling her that they need to sort him out once and for all. However, it turns out that Ronnie has another idea in mind.

Phil can't resist interfering and tells Claudette about Vincent's recent trouble with the police, but she refuses to rise to his baiting and instead warns Vincent to stay away from Phil. Continuing the feud, Vincent tells Phil that he needs money to stay quiet about Carl White.

Meanwhile, Masood and Shabnam are arguing again, with Shabnam refusing to listen when her father tries to make amends. Kush urges Masood to stop moping and concentrate on bringing his family back together, which gives Masood an idea.

Elsewhere, Donna encourages Liam to step up and he follows a drunken Roxy to The Albert, but he soon chickens out and instead asks for some of her drink. Sharon later spots the pair drinking outside and angrily puts a stop to it. Unfortunately, a critic for the Walford Gazette witnesses the commotion - is Sharon about to lose her licence?
