Queen Vic landlady Linda Carter makes a bold move on EastEnders later this month as she demands to speak to Dean Wicks alone.

Linda (Kellie Bright) decides to confront Dean after hearing that he is being released from prison and will be attending Stan's funeral.

Dean (Matt Di Angelo) raped Linda in October, but has always denied any wrongdoing by lying that she agreed to consensual sex.

Once Linda knows that Dean will soon be free again, she struggles to confide in her partner Mick as he is still dealing with his own anger and grief over recent events.

After turning to her friend Sharon Mitchell for support instead, Linda heads to Patrick Trueman's house and waits for Dean to arrive back following his release.

When Dean turns up with Shirley and Buster, Linda surprises everyone by insisting on speaking to Dean alone.

Linda gets her wish and immediately gives Dean an ultimatum, ordering him to finally admit what he did to her since there is nobody else around to hear them. Will Dean acknowledge that he did rape Linda?

The Branning and Carter families are both facing big days as they prepare to say their goodbyes to Jim and Stan. At the Queen Vic, it's clear that tension is still running high when Mick cuts Dean out of a family photo. Things get worse when Shirley tells Linda that Dean is being released from prison and will be attending the funeral. Linda can't bring herself to break the news to Mick, so she heads to Sharon's place for some support instead.

Later, when Buster and Shirley bring Dean home, they are shocked to find Linda sitting alone in Patrick's living room. She is ready to confront Dean...

Meanwhile, Cora feels shunned by everyone around her. The Carters are preoccupied with their own grief, while Abi visits Dot in prison rather than supporting Cora. When Cora learns that Dot isn't attending Jim's funeral, she decides to intervene and visits her in prison. Cora and Dot are soon arguing but they eventually reach an understanding as they can relate to each other's grief. Will Cora convince Dot to attend the funeral?

Not long afterwards, Cora heads back to the Square and demands to travel to the funeral in the same car as the Carters, despite Babe disapproving.

Elsewhere, Carol struggles to write Jim's eulogy. She seeks support from Max but ends up in an argument with him when he announces that he won't be going to the funeral. However, Max changes his mind following an argument with Abi.

Also today, Les is still away so Billy asks Alfie to help him with the two funerals. Has Billy taken on too much?

Buster and Shirley make themselves scarce when Linda demands to be alone with Dean. Linda then orders Dean to finally admit what he did to her. He eventually starts to waiver but just when it looks like Dean is about to confess, the conversation is interrupted when Mick arrives.

Mick makes it clear that Shirley is welcome at the funeral but Dean isn't, leaving Shirley to face a tough decision between her two sons once again. What will she do?

Later, Tina gives a moving eulogy about her dad at the crematorium. Once the Carter family leave, the Brannings arrive to pay their respects to Jim. They're shocked when an unexpected guest arrives, as Dot has decided to come to the funeral after all.

Meanwhile, Ronnie asks Roxy to go to the funeral to support Dot and Charlie. Once Roxy has left, Vincent arrives at the hospital looking for Ronnie.

Elsewhere, things don't get off to a good start for Billy as he takes charge of both funerals.

Roxy visits Ronnie

Back on the Square, Max confides in Carol about his business troubles and how he has been selling stolen cars. Carol convinces him to ask Phil for some help.

Meanwhile, Mick kicks off at Dean and forces him to leave The Vic, prompting Shirley and Buster to follow in support of Dean. When Shirley sees just how much Dean has suffered in prison, she makes a decision and asks Phil for a cash loan. What does she have planned?

Elsewhere, Cora announces that she is leaving the Square to go and stay with Tanya. Before she leaves, she warns Babe that she knows her secret. Babe soon stirs up even more tension among the Carters, before visiting Sylvie in the care home and coldly breaking the news of Stan's death.

Also today, Kim breaks down in tears and tells Denise that she has been lying about everything that has happened to her for the past few months. What will Kim reveal?

Finally, at the hospital, Ronnie is shaken when Vincent reminds her of the winter they spent together in 2013.

As Babe's manipulative behaviour continues, Sylvie threatens to call the police and reveal the truth about what happened in the past. EastEnders fans can expect emotional scenes in tonight's episode (April 23) as Dot Branning pays tribute to her late husband Jim at his funeral.

Dot (June Brown) is keen to share some fond memories of Jim, as she knows that his recent death has stirred up some old resentments among the rest of his family.

After an emotional Max makes a scene at the service with some harsh words about his father's mistakes, it's left to Dot to do Jim justice by speaking about the honourable man he became in his later years.

With Dot sharing some touching words, can the sombre service get back on track?
