Juliette Kaplan is joining the cast of Coronation Street.
The Last of the Summer Wine actress will appear as Beth's grandma Agnes, and she revealed on her blog that she will feature in at least eight episodes in early 2015.

She wrote: "I got the part... I got four episodes which then turned into seven and last week I got another script so I'm doing eight in total - so far...
"So, on January 5 I make my debut in Corrie as Agnes, Beth's grandma. All of you keep your fingers crossed that I get written in regularly. No, I'm not telling you the plot - I'd get hung, drawn and quartered!
Kaplan's appearance may tie in with Beth's upcoming wedding to Kirk Sutherland, after Coronation Street producer Stuart Blackburn confirmed that Beth's family would be making an appearance around the time of the ceremony.
Hollyoaks actress Alison Burrows will play Beth's sister Arlene, while Brookside's Kate Fitzgerald will appear as Beth's mother Nancy.
