Neighbours fans will be introduced to Terese Willis's brother Nick next year.

Actor Damien Fotiou has recently been on set filming scenes in the role of Nick, who visits Ramsay Street to catch up with his family.

The new casting was revealed in a behind the scenes video hosted by Neighbours regular Saskia Hampele, who plays Georgia Brooks.

Nick works as an oncologist, but Fotiou assured fans that he isn't in Erinsborough as part of a health scare storyline.

He said: "It's all about just coming home I think. He just wants to come home."

Christopher Milligan, who plays Kyle Canning, also warned that his character may not be too impressed after his wife Georgia strikes up a friendship with Nick.

Milligan said: "Kyle calls him Dr Jerk, he doesn't like him!"

Time will tell whether I like him or not. I hope he doesn`t cause trouble between Georgia and Kyle. But if he`s anything like his sister Terese. my guess would be that he will be loud and mouthy.

Soap World magazine confirm Terese's brother Nick is only a guest character.


Paul has a storyline with Nick. Soap World says Paul has met his match with this character.

Neighbours bosses have released more details and the first official photos of new guest character Nick Petrides.

As first revealed late last year, actor Damien Fotiou has been cast in the role of Nick, an oncologist who is the brother of established regular Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou).

Nick arrives in Erinsborough to catch up with his sister, but he also has an agenda which will lead to some surprises on screen.

Teasing the role, Fotiou commented: "He is a very interesting character. His intentions are certainly noble, however all is not what it appears and I love the way the story unfolds - there's a lot of surprises."

In real life, Fotiou needed a mini-makeover for the part as the show's make-up team slicked back his naturally curly hair to create a more conservative appearance.

Nick's first scenes will air on February 19 in Australia and March 5 on Channel 5 in the UK.

Also ahead on Ramsay Street, Terese Willis is surprised when she discovers that her brother Nick Petrides is in town.

As first revealed late last year, actor Damien Fotiou has been cast in the role of Nick, an oncologist who is the brother of established regular Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou).

Karl Kennedy is excited to be interviewing a potential new doctor for the hospital, unaware of the connection he has to Terese. However, Nick doesn't share the same enthusiasm that Karl does and is abrupt with him.

When Brad sees Nick with Karl, he is immediately disturbed and returns home to tell Terese who he saw. Although Terese is initially shocked, she later sees Nick for herself and demands an explanation as to why he didn't tell her he was in the area. Nick has to do some fast explaining to Terese.

After Nick explains his reasons, Terese is soon inviting him for dinner, although Brad's unease over the situation is palpable.

Although Terese asks Brad to make peace with Nick, it doesn't last long when the two men are left alone and they can barely contain their hostility.

It soon becomes apparent they both share a big secret regarding Terese, but what is it?

Neighbours brings back one of the show's most twisted villains next week as Terese Willis's brother Nick Petrides returns to our screens.

Ruthless oncologist Nick (Damien Fotiou) had a memorable storyline in 2015, when he tricked Paul Robinson into thinking that he had leukaemia and began "treating" him for the illness.

These days, Nick is paying for his crimes with a stint in jail, but he's about to be reintroduced to the Aussie soap as part of Terese's breast cancer story.

When concern grows that Terese isn't responding well enough to treatment for her illness, her fiancé Gary Canning (Damien Richardson) takes the shocking step of approaching Nick to ask for his help.

Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) is appalled when she finds out that Gary has gone behind her back, but she quickly realises this is no time to be stubborn and reluctantly visits Nick too.

After hearing everything that Terese has to say, Nick confirms that her prognosis isn't looking good right now.

Nick does have another treatment option in mind, but he clearly can't oversee it from inside prison – and there's not much chance of him getting out as Paul blocked his last application for parole.

When Paul later rejects a personal appeal from Terese to change his mind under the circumstances, she finds another ally in the form of Clive Gibbons, who offers to put in a good word with the parole board for Nick.

Could this lead to Nick being released?

Not sure what to make of Nick, if he's genuine or up to something nefarious. The immunotherapy thing though sounds bogus. I'm sure there are many doctors besides Nick who could treat Terese this way.
