The pressure of looking after Patrick starts to take its toll on Denise, but Shabnam gets a surprise when she tries to help.

Ian and Jane are deeply worried. Just as their fears seem to be allayed, Jane's concerns grow.

Meanwhile, Denise makes a shocking discovery at the allotments.

Elsewhere, Sonia claims that she is leaving for a work trip but appears cagey about the details.


Thursday

Denise seeks some advice from Masood after her discovery. Will she tell Ian the truth?

Meanwhile, after bickering about Bobby, Jane and Ian seem close to an agreement. However, another spanner is thrown into the works after they receive shocking news.


Friday

Ian is forced to consider a tough decision which could tear his family apart.

Meanwhile, Ben makes a shocking confession to Ian.

EastEnders fans will see Denise Fox make a shocking discovery later this month when she digs up murdered Lucy Beale's belongings.

Viewers know that Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) buried Lucy's phone and purse at the allotments following her mysterious death on Good Friday.

When Patrick Trueman is warned by the council that he could lose his allotment as he isn't able to take care of it at the moment, Denise (Diane Parish) promises that she will help and heads over there to tidy up.

Once at the allotment, Denise is delighted when she realises how much produce Patrick has grown. However, her mood quickly changes as she starts digging and is shocked to discover Lucy's mobile phone and purse.

Unsure over what to do next, Denise seeks advice from Masood Ahmed and they discuss how to break the news to Lucy's father Ian.

Soon afterwards, Jay is horrified to see what Denise has discovered and quickly calls Ben for help. Will the pair be able to cover their tracks, or is their secret finally out?

Monday

The pressure of caring for Patrick is starting to take its toll on Denise. Shabnam is surprised when she spots that some wine has gone missing from the Minute Mart, but Denise makes an excuse by claiming that some bottles smashed. However, Shabnam's suspicions grow when she receives a call from head office about discrepancies with the takings.

Later, after a heart-to-heart with Dean, Denise returns home to find that Shabnam has cooked a meal for her and Patrick. Shabnam also goes to help Denise with her shopping, but is stunned to find the missing wine as well as stolen food in Denise's bags…

Meanwhile, after struggling with Beth, Cindy confides in Liam by admitting that she misses school and fears that she's not a good mum. When Liam tries his best to reassure her, Cindy kisses him. Later, Cindy attempts to tell Ian how she is feeling, but they are interrupted when Jane returns with the news that Bobby is missing.

Elsewhere, Masood exaggerates his fitness levels to Kush, but may have pushed his luck too far when he finds himself signed up for a half-marathon!

Also today, Ben helps Ian at the café and they have a heart-to-heart over Lucy's death.

Finally, Dean is left reeling when Shirley confides in him.


Tuesday

Denise is shellshocked after finding Lucy's phone and wallet. Her discovery doesn't stay secret for long, as when Jay goes to deliver Denise some soup from Patrick, he realises what she has found and immediately calls Ben. At the same time, Denise talks to Masood about the situation and they both agree that Ian needs to hear the truth.

Soon afterwards, a worried Ben tells Jay that they will have to get the wallet and phone back to destroy the evidence. Jay visits Patrick under the pretence of wanting to help out, and he successfully manages to retrieve both items while 'tidying up'. Unfortunately, Jay is no match for Denise, who follows him and manages to get the wallet and phone back.

Meanwhile, Ian and Jane argue over Bobby's desire to move back to the Square. Jane doesn't trust Ian anymore as she knows about him and Rainie, but he continues to plead for another chance. Confused over what to do, Jane goes to seek advice from Sharon but ends up confiding in Phil.

Later, Jane returns to the Beale house with the news that she has decided to move back to the Square but will find somewhere else to live. It's a happy moment at last for the Beales, but one that doesn't last for long when Denise and Masood arrive with their bombshell to drop…


Thursday

Lee thinks he has discovered another twist in the murder enquiry.

Meanwhile, Lauren has a heart-to-heart with Max about her future.

Elsewhere, sparks fly when Sonia confides in Tina. What will happen if Tosh finds out they're keeping secrets?


Friday

Ian is shocked when Denise shares the news of her discovery. He also becomes angry when she explains why she hasn't phoned the police yet. After some consideration, Ian decides to call the police himself.

As everyone waits for the detectives to arrive, Ben turns up and demands to speak to Ian alone. Face-to-face with his brother, Ben finally confesses to his actions on the night of Lucy's murder. Soon afterwards, Ben begs Ian and Jane not to tell the police, but as the detectives knock on the door, what will Ian decide?

Meanwhile, amid the Lucy situation, Ben bumps into Johnny and tries to kiss him after misreading the situation. When Johnny rejects him, Ben's mood only worsens.

Elsewhere, Lola manages to clear the air with Abi by assuring her that nothing is going on between her and Ben. Abi then decides to reveal that she is seeing Ben, which shocks Lola.
