Over on Emmerdale, Robert Sugden will order a dangerous raid on Home Farm in a bid to get revenge on Lawrence White.

Robert will lure Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller) into his plan after he catches them trying to steal from him.

Drowning his sorrows after learning that Nicola got the estate manager job, Robert comes up with an idea when he realises that Ross and Aaron have swiped his keys and stripped his car.

Not wanting Robert to call the police on them, Ross and Aaron realise they have no other choice but to go ahead with his plan to raid Home Farm.

Ensuring Chrissie and Lachlan are both out for the day, Robert sets Lawrence up and Ross and Aaron later arrive wearing balaclavas.

Pete Barton will receive shocking news next week as he hears that he could be facing a possible manslaughter charge.

Pete realises that he is in serious trouble when the police pay him a visit and start asking questions about a girl who died after taking ecstasy.

Regular viewers will know that Pete briefly dealt drugs in January this year, as he felt desperate amid a financial crisis for his family.

With the police investigating the girl's tragic death, Pete finds himself as the prime suspect in the hunt for her supplier.

After a grilling from detectives, Pete decides to be honest with his girlfriend Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb). Although she is shocked, it's the father of Debbie's children who has the strongest reaction as Andy Sugden is furious when he finds out that the kids are living with a former drug dealer.

Anthony Quinlan, who plays Pete, commented: "If it's not serious enough that Pete could be in trouble for selling drugs, there's also a possibility that he could be charged with manslaughter because the girl has died. Pete is in a really sticky situation.

"Debbie is really supportive and stands by Pete, but when they're having a conversation about the allegations, Sarah overhears and proceeds to tell Andy."

A desperate Debbie later lies to Andy when he confronts her about Sarah's revelation, but Pete is convinced that honesty is the best policy and decides to tell him the truth.

Afterwards, Andy is livid over Debbie's deception and threatens to pursue full custody of Sarah and Jack.

Quinlan added: "Andy's reaction is understandable, as you wouldn't want your kids brought up around something like that. Equally, Pete thinks the world of Debbie and the kids and he wouldn't do anything to jeopardise that. He sees his future with them, so he's heartbroken and gutted.

"Pete doesn't know if he's guilty, but he's just terrified for himself, for Debbie and the possibility of her losing the kids."

Monday

Rakesh tells a determined Ali that she could apply for a child arrangement order to get access to Archie. Ali suggests to Jai that she could have Archie two days a week and he is further horrified when she tells him that she has a solicitor on the case and it's Rakesh.

When Jai confronts Rakesh over Ali, Rakesh has further news for Jai as he's done some digging on the murdered girl. Is it Rachel?

Meanwhile, Debbie is furious when she discovers that her client's flash car is missing. Aaron suspects who has taken it and later finds Ross working on parts from the stolen car. Furious, he tells Ross that he is done with their business, unaware Pete has overheard. Still sore over Ross's flirtation with Debbie, what will Pete do? Could he shop his own brother to the police?

Elsewhere, Robert is frustrated at being outwitted by Lawrence and doesn't want to give him the satisfaction of a humiliating interview for the estate manager job. However, realising he doesn't have much choice, he turns up with a business plan.

Also today, Zac spots Lachlan walking past the Dingles' house on CCTV.

Finally, Belle overhears Lisa's worries over home tuition fees and insists she's going back to school.

Tuesday

Ross gives a false alibi to the police, saying Aaron was with him. Aaron reluctantly covers for him but Chas is unconvinced.

Later, Pete's drug past returns to haunt him when the police call asking him to come to the station tomorrow. Pete decides to keep his visit from the police a secret from Debbie.

Meanwhile, Jimmy is feeling tender after his reversal op and asks Rodney to stay to try to curb Nicola's sexual 'appetite'.

Elsewhere, Jai asks Priya to help at the factory so he can spend more time with Archie. Ali changes tack when she realises that she can't afford legal action against Jai and offers to support him, if he lets her see her nephew. Jai is not convinced until Megan gives him food for thought.

Also today, Debbie is tetchy about the stolen car and struggles when Andy wants to talk about Sarah moving.

Finally, Harriet turns down Ruby's request for a blessing, telling her it means risking her job.

Wednesday

Pete reels to learn that he is being accused of previously selling ecstasy, which resulted in a girl dying.

Peter is further shocked when he is arrested for supplying drugs. How will Debbie react when Pete reveals his dark past? Will this have further consequences for them?

Meanwhile, Robert drowns his sorrows after learning that Nicola got the job. Ross spots him leaving his car keys behind and swipes them. While Aaron and Ross strip the car, Robert turns up. He's about to call the police, but Ross offers their services. Will Robert hold back on calling the police? Just what have Aaron and Ross let themselves in for?

Elsewhere, Nicola is ecstatic to be offered the estate manager job and Jimmy is chuffed that his plan works. Nicola agrees that Rodney can stay for a bit, but Jimmy soon finds out that Nicola's baby-making plan is far from over...

Also today, Harriet contemplates doing a blessing for Ruby and Ali on the quiet.

Finally, Ali is delighted when Jai lets her see Archie, while Andy's patience wears thin when Debbie tells him the farm won't be safe for the kids for a while.

Thursday

Aaron and Ross realise they have no other choice but to go ahead with Robert's raid at Home Farm. Whilst first ensuring that Chrissie and Lachlan are both out for the day, Robert sets Lawrence up.

Later, Ross and Aaron arrive at Home Farm wearing balaclavas. Ross whacks Lawrence out unconscious with a baseball bat and then they set about raiding the house, watched by Robert. However, they all are unaware that Chrissie is on her way back. Will Robert's devious plan be exposed?

Meanwhile, after overhearing Debbie and Pete talk, a worried Sarah confides in Andy about how her mum and Pete are sad because a lady died from taking drugs and it's Pete's fault. Andy is horrified and confronts Debbie, who lies to him. However, Pete decides to tell Andy the truth. How will Andy take the news, knowing Debbie has lied to him?

Elsewhere, Belle tells Lachlan that she is starting at his school tomorrow and he reassures her that he won't say anything about her. Later, Lisa and Zak are interrupted by the sound of breaking glass and find that a brick has been thrown through the window. It appears the hate campaign against Belle is back, but who is responsible?

Also, Marlon and Laurel are nervous about having time to themselves when April tells them that she is going to sleep in her own bed.

Thursday (2)
Masked raiders Aaron and Ross attempt to disguise their voices as they play the part, blocking Chrissie's exit.

Can Aaron and Ross get themselves out of this bungled mess? And could Lawrence's health take a turn for the worse?

Meanwhile, Pete's past and Debbie's lies send Andy raging as he decides that he wants to keep the kids full-time.

Elsewhere, the Dingles are on edge following the smashed window and they worry for Belle's welfare. Lisa worries further when Sam tells her that he saw Belle arguing with Lachlan in the café earlier. The Dingles are heartbroken as Belle worries about going to school.

Also, Marlon asks Chas for a day off tomorrow, telling her about Laurel's court date.

Friday

At Home Farm, Nicola enjoys having authority and taking the upper hand as she insists that she'll sort the insurance out.

Robert feels guilty when an upset Chrissie tells him that her mum's engagement ring is missing from the raid. When Chrissie's anger continues, Lawrence knows what to do to make things right.

Meanwhile, Laurel is nervous about court but feels abandoned when Marlon goes into work, although he promises he will be back in time to take her. His promise is short lived as he suddenly needs to dash to April's school. As a result, the gulf between Marlon and Laurel grows bigger.

Elsewhere, Chas gives Belle a pep talk after working out that she is faking an illness to stay off school. Later, Belle sees an opportunity and enters an empty Victoria Cottage, intrigued by where Gemma used to live, although she is alarmed when Kirin appears. But could this unlikely meet give Belle new hope when Kirin confesses that he once blamed himself for his mum's death too?

Also today, Leyla offers to be Katie's wedding planner, but she and Vanessa are shocked Katie is putting their rent up.

Is Jai named as Archie's father on his birth certificate?

I don't think so.. I seem to remember that Rachel did not name anybody as Archie's father on the birth certificate

So Jai couldn't get custody without consent from Rachel and if she is missing or dead Ali would get him as her next of kin

So Jai couldn't get custody without consent from Rachel and if she is missing or dead Ali would get him as her next of kin

If blood tests could prove that Jai was
the father would that be allowed to
be done. Or could Ali over- rule it
as next of kin: which she is til proved
otherwise.
Someone would have to consent to tests
as Archie is an infant.
Perhaps Jai could ask a court to rule
on matter. He could proved he had
provided financially for Archie.
Another legal.quamire!!

I am sure Jai would arrange for a paternity test and I guess that in a court of law nearly the whole village could confirm that he is the father ...

Emmerdale's Pete Barton considers reporting his own brother Ross to the police in tonight's episode (November 17).

Pete decides that drastic action might be needed after he learns that Ross (Michael Parr) has stolen a car from the forecourt at Debbie's garage.

Although Pete and Debbie are initially unsure over who the culprit could be, the truth comes out when Pete overhears Ross discussing his latest dodgy behaviour with Aaron Livesy.

After confronting his bad boy sibling and receiving harsh words in response, Pete realises that Ross has gone too far this time and prepares to strike back.

Pete confronts Ross

Anthony Quinlan, who plays Pete, told Digital Spy: "Pete confronts Ross and says that he knows what he's up to. Because of the history between them with Debbie, Pete just thinks his life would be a hell of a lot easier if Ross wasn't around.

"He decides to call the police because it's the only way to deal with him. Pete thinks it's the best thing for Ross, because one of these days he could end up hurting someone or even taking someone's life."

Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV.
