As Rob is leaving on 31st October and Tracy isn't, I guess the marriage doesn't work out too well!
if they take their vows he will be back. But how long will he be in prison for?
Could be out in couple of years with good behaviour
that's nothing for killing someone.
Could be out in couple of years with good behaviour
Surely he'd get life? The police know that Tina was hit over the head so it wasn't manslaughter.
I think the only way Rob could come back in the near future is if it isn't generally known that he's the killer. Maybe Carla guesses and she tells him to disappear or she'll inform the police. That scenario would mean that Peter's found not guilty, as Carla wouldn't allow him to rot in jail if she finds out the truth.
But getting a life sentence could mean just a couple of years with good behaviour ...

I thought a minimum life term was about 10 years, and surely he'd get a lot longer than that? I'd think he'd (hopefully) get more like 15-20 years. I guess at the very minimum he could be out in 5 years, though I think that would be highly unlikely to happen (in real life).

It depends if you're Tracy Barlow or not.
It depends if you're Tracy Barlow or not.
At least Tracey was handed a decent sentence (15 years), although her crime was worse than Rob's as she planned it for months beforehand. I don't think the jury knew that though. As far as I remember, the jury only knew that Tracey hit Charlie over the head (coincidentally exactly what Rob did to Tina). Therefore, logically, he should get about 15 years too.
Depends on how desperate they are for Chris to return, I guess whether he will be released early, if he gets sentenced... somehow TPTB thought the viewers could no longer live without Tracy ... hence some silly technicality got her out way too early..

Do you mean Chris, Perdy? Are you talking about Peter being found guilty and Rob getting away with it?

Yes, that is what I am saying .. Chris Gascoyne is leaving for indefinite but said he wants to come back at some time .. not sure about Marc Bayliss

They're both leaving and the way is being left open for both of them to return. Marc is leaving on 31st October.
I know, but not seen anything about Marc wanting to return, despite the door being left open for him, but Chris has said he wants to come back one day... as I said, depends on how desperate TPTB are for either to return whether an early release from prison, if that is what is happening, will be orchestrated or not
i hope rob goes on the run not to prison
I don't. He deserves all that's coming to him! He's been living under Barlow's roof for months and let Simon's dad rot in the prison cell for something he hasn't done! I mean-like Ken said 'Peter can be many things but he's not a killer.' It would be just wrong if he disappeared and Peter went down for this. If he confesses Carla, I firmly believe that Carla won't let Peter to take the blame.
There's so many other options for Peter to be away for few years-so many other characters have and so has Peter before. Maybe he just feels there's nothing left for him in Weatherfield, so he decides to pack his bags and go away..maybe to Canada to his brother?

I think you mean his nephew, Adam.

If Peter is found guilty, surely she would have no alternative but to expose Rob. Does this mean that Peter is found not guilty? :hmm:
This is getting quite exciting now :D

I hope Peter's found not guilty but I'm not getting my hopes up. :p
I think not guilty verdict. His lawyer was good and he was believable in the stand....becuase he is innocent. Rob is also worried that it is going Peters way
Monday
Tracy is excited as she prepares for her wedding. At her hen do in the pub, she tells the girls how Rob is her soulmate. At the same time, Rob spends his stag night with Carla, where she quizzes him about the night of Tina's murder. Irritated by her obsessive questioning, Rob claims that he and Tracy left their engagement party, returned home and had sex on the sofa.
Nipping out, Carla corners Tracy in The Rovers and questions her also. However, when Tracy tells her that she and Rob went back to Number 1 and headed straight upstairs, Carla realises their stories don't match. Returning home, Carla tells a horrified Rob that she now has the proof that Peter didn't kill Tina!
Meanwhile, Kylie secretly phones the hospital and is relieved to hear that Gemma has been discharged. As David goes to read Max a story, she flushes her last wrap of speed down the sink, determined to be a better mother and wife.
Elsewhere, Gary and Alya enjoy a romantic walk, clearly smitten with each other. Gary promises they'll take things slowly.
Also, Michael is worried when he receives a letter from the hospital asking him to attend an appointment with the heart consultant.
Finally, when Sinead finds Cilla doubled up with pain, she begs her to tell the family about her illness. Will Cilla agree?
Monday (2)
Carla reveals to Rob that she knows he is lying and reckons he is covering up for Tracy because she is the real killer. As Carla reaches for her phone, intent on calling the police, Rob stops her. Rob explains that Tracy was actually driving a van load of stolen gear when Tina was murdered and they lied to the police, knowing they'd both be sent down if they were caught.
Rob tells Carla how much he loves Tracy and how he is looking forward to settling down and having kids. However, when Carla points out that Tracy's false alibi means he too is without an alibi, Rob loses his temper and storms out. Carla is taken aback by the ferocity of his outburst.
Later, Rob returns to the flat, blaming it on wedding nerves, but Carla is not convinced. She points out that he seemed to know from the off that she was innocent, and so asks him if he killed Tina.
Rob tries to deny it, but Carla pushes and pushes until Rob can't take any more and finally confesses that he did murder Tina. Rob begs a shocked Carla to keep his guilty secret and not to involve the police…
Meanwhile, at Number 1, an emotional Tracy tells Ken how much Rob means to her and how she wants their wedding to be perfect.
Wednesday
With his nerves in shreds, Rob irons his wedding shirt, wondering what Carla will do. Still conflicted, Carla tells Rob that she needs to get ready for the wedding. Rob is relieved that she has chosen to keep quiet, and as they set off, he thanks her for standing by him.
Soon afterwards, Tracy is brimming with happiness as she, Amy and Ken leave for the wedding in a horse drawn carriage. Michelle ushers the guests into the venue, desperate for everything to be perfect after all her hard work. With the guests assembled, Rob waits nervously for Carla. Will she take her seat?
Meanwhile, with a jittery Michael unable to confide in Gail, it's left to Eileen to accompany him to his hospital appointment. Back at home, Gail plans a Japanese evening to cheer Michael up, but when David and Kylie clock Eileen and Michael arriving home in a taxi, they wonder what's going on.
Elsewhere, Cilla packs her bags and tells Fiz and Tyrone that she knows she has outstayed her welcome. As Tyrone, Fiz, Chesney and Sinead see Cilla off on the bus, Sinead can see she is in a lot of pain, but will her family see her distress?
Also today, Michelle confides in Liz that things are really bad between her and Steve.
Friday
As Tracy and Amy pose for photos outside the wedding venue, Rob tries to read Carla.
Will Carla stand by her brother and watch the wedding go ahead, or is Rob and Tracy's perfect day about to be blown apart?
Meanwhile, as Michael and Gail enjoy their sushi, they are interrupted by David and Kylie who insist on joining them. When David accuses Michael of having an affair with Eileen, Michael is forced to tell Gail how Eileen accompanied him to his hospital appointment. Gail is furious that he chose to take Eileen rather than her, but when Michael reveals his results, Gail is silenced.
Elsewhere, as Fiz and Chesney celebrate the fact that Cilla has gone, Sinead can't bear it any longer and reveals that Cilla is in fact seriously ill. Fiz and Chesney are stunned.
Friday (2)
Will Tracy and Rob get their happily ever after?
Meanwhile, Michael endeavours to find his son.
Elsewhere, Maria asks Luke for his help.
No further details will be released about this episode.
Yes..and poor Simon. I really hope that Peter gets out..I just can't see how if Rob only tells Carla with no witnesses..and then runs away from wedding. How could she prove that Rob did it?

Tracy might have something to say about it!
Coronation Street killer Rob Donovan panics in tonight's dramatic episodes (October 31) as he wonders whether the game is up.
The show's most recent episode ended on a cliffhanger as Rob's sister Carla (Alison King) hinted that she had reported him to the police over the murder of Tina McIntyre.
Not wanting to make a scene in front of Rob's wedding guests, Carla drags him off to a private room and reveals exactly what she has done as he pushes her for answers.
With the wedding day descending into chaos, is there any chance that Rob (Marc Baylis) can tie the knot with Tracy Barlow before it all comes crashing down?
