EastEnders' mum-to-be Ronnie Mitchell grows closer to Charlie Cotton next month when he accompanies her to a baby scan.

After Ronnie (Samantha Womack) surprises Charlie by revealing that he is the father of her unborn child, the pair fail to agree on a solution for their situation and argue.

However, Dot is determined for Charlie (Declan Bennett) to be involved in his child's life and sends him round to Ronnie's with a present.

Once at Ronnie's, Charlie offers to accompany her to the scan and when he does so, it's clear that they are starting to bond as the sex of their baby is revealed.

Could Ronnie and Charlie be tempted to give their relationship another go?

Can someone help, in the cast lists for next week there is a "DC Phipps" people said it was a policeman but it could be a doctor. ronnie is told by a doctor her pains are common but this could be at the hospital visiting whoever is shot- there is a picture of ronnie and charlie out on the square though. shirley isnt in the episode but the spoilers make sense if she is shot cos mick has to rush off and he sends dean to the vic as he is upset. aren't all doctors and policemen usually credited?

Monday

Albert Square's residents are still reeling following the shooting. When Mick sends an upset Dean to Linda at The Vic in the hope that she can calm him down, Linda tries to comfort Dean but struggles to get through to him.

When Linda continues to show a maternal side to Dean, he finally starts to open up about his feelings. However, Dean is later filled with bitterness when he spots Linda sharing a heartfelt moment with her family. When the situation escalates, there are devastating consequences for Linda.

Meanwhile, Mick forces Tina to recognise some harsh realities about her relationship with Tosh.

Tuesday

It's a new day on the Square and Linda is facing the toughest time of her life after being raped by Dean last night. She struggles to tell her family what happened, so she lets them believe that a hangover is causing her strange mood.

Later, Dean decides to text Linda to thank her for being there for him last night. When Dean then turns up for dinner, a distraught Linda is unable to cope. She rushes out into the Square, leaving the rest of the Carters shocked and confused.

Meanwhile, Ronnie suddenly starts experiencing severe stomach pains in the midst of a row with Charlie over their situation. As Ronnie fears that she will lose the baby, she begins to bond with Charlie. Fortunately, Ronnie is told by a doctor that these pains are common.

Elsewhere, Nancy plans a musical bingo event for The Vic and asks Tamwar to co-host it.

Thursday

Mick is full of worry after hearing that Linda has disappeared. A desperate Dean makes up a story to cover his tracks, but it's clear that he is rattled when he tells Mick and Nancy different details.

Later, Linda finally returns home and when Dean corners her, he says that he'd happily repeat the night before. With Linda terrified of Dean, will she be able to tell Mick the truth?

Friday

Abi is still struggling following her split from Jay, so it's not easy for her when Lauren and Peter announce their relationship.

Later, following some encouragement from Lauren, Max pays a visit to Ian and finally apologises for his fling with Lucy. Soon afterwards, Max bumps into Emma and Keeble. Emma is concerned when she learns that Max and Keeble know each other and fears losing her job. Deciding to put her career first, Emma tells Max they can't be together until Lucy's murder has been solved. After a revelation from Ian, Max decides to make an anonymous phone call to the police.

Meanwhile, the Carters remain concerned about Linda's distant behaviour. Linda starts to relax when Nancy prepares a meal and they watch a film together, but she is still afraid of being left alone. Later, Linda heads downstairs and is shocked when Dean reveals his very different interpretation of recent events. As a result, Linda rushes back upstairs sobbing.

Elsewhere, Charlie offers to take Ronnie to her baby scan. When Ronnie finally agrees and they see the scan together, Dot is filled with hope that Ronnie and Charlie will become a proper couple.

Also today, Dean invites Stacey out for some drinks.

Linda Carter will discover she is pregnant in the aftermath of a sexual assault at the hands of Dean Wicks.

Linda (Kellie Bright) will face the toughest time of her life after being sexually attacked by her brother-in-law Dean (Matt Di Angelo) in scenes to be aired next week.

In a shocking twist, Linda later discovers that she has fallen pregnant, but will be left unsure about the identity of the baby's father.

As previously reported, Linda will keep quiet about her assault over the coming weeks, hiding the harrowing ordeal from Mick and the rest of her family.

Speaking at an EastEnders press event earlier this week, Bright admitted that the rape would have huge repercussions for her character Linda and the whole Carter family.

She said: "It is going to have massive repercussions. It would do, and it does for women who are in relationships when it happens. Like I said before, it turns Linda into someone she doesn't want to be. She starts lying and making excuses for things.

"Obviously it also affects her and Mick's physical relationship and one of the most heartbreaking elements of this story is what it does to Mick and how he is affected by it all."

EastEnders begins the storyline on Monday, October 6 at 8pm on BBC One.
