Coming up on Emmerdale, Laurel Thomas and Marlon Dingle find themselves having cold feet as their impending wedding day draws closer.

After the strain of recent events, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) are plagued with doubts as they head off to their respective stag and hen parties.

Feeling overwhelmed, Laurel soon slips away from the pub where the celebrations are going on, prompting Ashley (John Middleton) to go after her.

When Ashley catches up with Laurel, she confides in him over her concerns, before drunkenly trying to kiss him.

A concerned Ashley then tells Laurel to call the wedding off for the sake of the children, while Doug overhears Marlon confiding in Paddy about his own fears regarding the wedding. Will the ceremony go ahead?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday, September 10 at 7pm on ITV.

Monday

Charity is smug as she watches Robbie get out of a police car. He explains to Megan that he was arrested for breaking into the abortion clinic. Megan despairs to think that any chance of getting proof may have slipped through their fingers.

Later, Robbie arrives at work and winds up Declan by telling Jimmy that he was arrested for doing a favour for a mate who's in denial about his wife having had an abortion. Declan warns Robbie never to bring those accusations into his house again, but Robbie and Megan's determination to pursue Charity over this starts to stir doubts in Declan. Charity knows she needs to think creatively to throw Declan off the scent, but will she manage to?

Meanwhile, Zak wonders if he has been too hard on Tracy and invites her round to watch a film on his new television. Later at the Dingles', Tracy loses her balance whilst dancing when Zak has popped out, sending the TV crashing. With Tracy flush from the Charity vs. Megan war she could offer to pay for a replacement, but will she?

Elsewhere, Kirin tells a prying Priya that if he wants to see Vanessa again he will. Later, Priya overhears Vanessa telling Leyla how much she likes Kirin. Despite learning Kirin's 'date' was actually his auntie, Priya twists the truth by telling Vanessa that Kirin has met a girl and they're going on a second date.

Also today, Victoria suggests a night out to Finn, telling him that he needs to get back to normal.

Finally, with Nicola still intent on Jimmy having a makeover, he mischievously decides to play her at her own game.


Tuesday

Charity is rattled when Megan informs her that Declan has been asking questions and is having doubts. An increasingly desperate Charity asks Chas one more time to go along with her plan and pretend that she had the abortion, but Chas refuses point blank.

Later, Declan privately calls his solicitor to see if the pre-nup has a get-out clause. A stressed Declan asks Charity to accompany him to the abortion clinic to prove that she didn't abort their baby. Seemingly trapped, will Charity find a way to get out of it?

Meanwhile, Laurel's father Doug arrives in time for her wedding. He worries it's not a good time for Laurel and Marlon to get married, but Diane reassures him. Laurel questions why Hilary isn't with her dad, while Leyla warns Diane away from Doug.

Later, Laurel and Doug come across Marlon watching something on the camera but he quickly turns it off and covers. Once Marlon and Doug are out of the room, Laurel's concerns mount as she presses play on the video camera and sees Donna.

Elsewhere, Sam opens a credit card statement and sees exactly how much he owes. Lisa is barely through the door before she clocks Sam's worried face. Later, Kerry is concerned when she sees Sam try to steal and she warns him not to do anything silly, reminding him to think about Samson.

Also today, Debbie goes on a night away with Pete.

Finally, Jimmy tells Nicola that he is heading off to do Zumba at the gym and later returns in skinny jeans. She is left wondering exactly what she has started!


Wednesday

Marlon lets April have the day off school so they can go for a picnic. Whilst sharing quality time with April, Marlon misses a call from Laurel and almost misses the wedding rehearsal. At the church, Ashley is ready and waiting to stand in for him when an apologetic and breathless Marlon runs in with April.

Later, Laurel and Marlon are clearly having very cold feet as they head to their respective stag and hen parties. It's not long before Laurel slips away from the pub, followed by Ashley. When Ashley catches up with Laurel she tells him her concerns, before drunkenly trying to kiss him. Ashley is worried, telling Laurel to call the wedding off for the sake of the children.

Meanwhile, worried that Declan will get to Debbie first, Charity goes to see her daughter and wastes little time in telling her that she lied about having a miscarriage, explaining that she in fact had a secret abortion. Debbie is lost for words. Charity then drops the bombshell that she has told Declan it was Debbie who had the abortion. A sickened Debbie is left reeling. Charity begs for her to cover for her to Declan, but will she?

Elsewhere, with Ruby convinced Dan is acting weirdly, Ali tells him to hide his guilt better. Will Dan come clean about sleeping with Ali at the risk of breaking Kerry's heart?

Also today, Jimmy fronts out the laughter and tells Nicola that he is a new man.

Finally, Kerry helps out Sam after he opens up to her about his debt and spending money on Tracy, while Doug overhears Marlon confiding in Paddy in the pub toilets.


Thursday

It's the day of the wedding and Laurel is nervous. Ashley wonders if Laurel and Marlon are getting married too quickly, especially after the kiss.

At the same time, Doug tells Nicola what he overheard, but Nicola urges him to keep quiet. With both the bride and groom in turmoil, will the wedding go ahead or will they both get cold feet?

Meanwhile, Sam is concerned when Samson tells him that he's given his iPad to a girl at school to make her like him, like Sam does with Tracy. Will this make Sam rethink his relationship with Tracy?

Elsewhere, Charity plays the voicemail Declan left her to Chas, explaining that unless Debbie convinces him it was her abortion, she is dead. Charity is genuinely scared and realises her fate lies in her daughter's hands, but will Debbie be her mother's saviour?

Also today, Ali is gutted to hear that Dan has told Kerry the truth and worries Ruby will find out. Dan apologises to Kerry, but can she ever forgive him?


Thursday (2)

Just as the wedding service should be starting, Marlon and Laurel realise they have a lot of talking to do and head home to work things out. Both are devastated and unsure how to fix things.

As they open up about how they've been feeling, Laurel blurts out that she kissed Ashley. Marlon tells Laurel that he understands, confessing that he did the same with Donna. With the truth out in the open, will they decide to marry after all?

Meanwhile, Megan is shocked when Declan tells her that she was right - Charity lied about the abortion. Later, Chas tries to talk Debbie round, explaining that Charity loves Declan and is vulnerable. Debbie is still angry but heads to Home Farm. Will she persuade Declan that it was her who aborted a child?

Elsewhere, Jai tries to smooth talk Leyla, but she throws it back in his face by chucking the bouquet in the bin. Soon afterwards Megan arrives, surprised to find Jai in the office. He gives her the same flowers and Megan passionately pulls him onto the desk. Later, a tetchy Leyla arrives and Megan suggests setting her up on a date, but Leyla already has a man on her mind and heads to the factory...

Also, Dan is surprised by Kerry's decision.

Finally, Lisa receives a call from Sam, explaining what he has done.


Friday

Megan is stunned with how things have turned out. At the same time, Debbie is cold with Charity, which makes Pete curious.

Later, Charity can't abide Megan and all her meddling and sets about getting revenge…

Meanwhile, Ruby discusses marrying Ali but knowing the truth, Kerry is not sure it's a good idea. Dan begs Kerry to keep quiet, but Ruby notices tension between Ali and Kerry and wants to know why.

Elsewhere, Marlon apologises and Laurel jokes with him.

Also today, Leyla is riled when Megan gloats about Jai.

Finally, Harriet is troubled when Ashley tells her that Laurel kissed him.

Emmerdale star Charlotte Bellamy has insisted that her character Laurel Thomas isn't still in love with her ex-husband Ashley, despite her upcoming attempt to kiss him.

Next week, viewers will see Laurel try to make a move on Ashley on the eve of her wedding to Marlon Dingle, fearing that her current relationship is in serious trouble.

Even though Laurel immediately regrets her actions, it's yet more proof that all is not well between her and Marlon (Mark Charnock) on what should be the happiest time of their lives.

Speaking of the twists to come, Bellamy explained: "Marlon's heart isn't in the wedding. He's distraught over Donna's death and he's worried about April. There are so many things on his mind other than the wedding and Laurel feels like she's doing it all by herself.

"Laurel tells Ashley that she doesn't know how she feels about Marlon any more. She's confused and Ashley offers her comfort and a shoulder to cry on. She kisses Ashley, not because she loves him - she's reaching out to him.

"Laurel regrets it afterwards - she loves Marlon not Ashley and she doesn't want to hurt Marlon. She was reaching out and she needed comfort and Ashley was there at that moment."

On the morning of the wedding, it's truth time for both Laurel and Marlon as they confess to their recent kisses with Ashley and Donna.

Bellamy continued: "On the day of their wedding, she finds Marlon in the graveyard and she's devastated to find him with Donna on his mind yet again. They talk and she tells him that she kissed Ashley, and Marlon tells her that he did the same with Donna.

"It's sad really, because they can both see that the kisses didn't mean anything but they're in a situation where their relationship is falling apart and they don't know how to fix it.

"In a way their conversation clears the air and I think they both understand each other a lot more after they talk, but they can't take much more of this. They are both so unhappy."

Emmerdale fans will find out whether Laurel and Marlon do tie the knot when their wedding episodes air on Thursday, September 11 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.

Laurel Thomas's wedding rehearsal is a shambles on Emmerdale tonight (September 10) as her fiancé Marlon Dingle fails to turn up on time.

The bride-to-be is left waiting at the altar as Marlon is busy bonding with his daughter April over a picnic and loses track of time.

With Marlon nowhere to be seen, Laurel's ex-husband Ashley (John Middleton) is asked to step in and take his place for the rehearsal.

Although Marlon's late arrival interrupts the extremely awkward moment, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is left seriously doubting whether she should marry him at all when she is so low on his list of priorities. With just a day until their wedding, are Marlon and Laurel heading for heartbreak?

When Chas refuses, Charity approaches Debbie and asks her to do the same. But with Declan more and more convinced that Charity is lying and Megan smelling blood, will Debbie comply? Zak offers Tracy the hand of friendship,which ends up with the Dingles’ TV smashed. Sam opens his credit card statement and is shocked by what he sees, while Kerry warns him not to do anything silly. Laurel’s father Doug returns to the village for the wedding, expressing misgivings about the speed of the arrangements. Things do not bode well when Laurel makes a drunken pass at Ashley on the night before the ceremony. Guilty Dan’s strange behaviour has repercussions - not only for Kerry but also for Ali and Ruby. Priya enjoys stirring things up between Vanessa and Kirin. Jai tries to smooth talk Leyla but she remains unmoved. Victoria thinks that it must be time for Finn to get back to normal and suggests a night out.
