Monday

An upset Linda tries to hold her head high following Cora's decision to humiliate Mick in the Queen Vic last week. However, her confidence takes a knock when Sharon brushes her off and she hears some of the locals talking about her. With Linda feeling vulnerable, Dean is happy to take advantage of this situation by taking her off to Blades to comfort her.

Johnny, Nancy and Lee are all upset over Cora's behaviour too, which leads to Nancy arguing with Lauren over what happened. When Lauren later confronts Cora, she is forced to reveal that Rainie was the prostitute who was caught with Mick.

Meanwhile, Alfie fears that Kat is taking on too much following the birth of the twins. Wanting to relieve at least one of Kat's burdens, Alfie visits Stacey and urges her to go ahead with the appeal. A non-committal Stacey requests that Jean visits herself. When Jean does, mother and daughter reminisce over how strong Stacey was as a child. Jean begs Stacey to show the same strength now for Lily's sake. What will Stacey decide?

Elsewhere, Ian snaps at Denise as his stress rises over the upcoming press appeal. Sharon tries to cheer Ian up, but his improved mood doesn't last for long when he receives a surprise ultimatum…

Tuesday

Ian feels like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders as the day of the press appeal arrives. Ian has to make a speech but feels better knowing that Peter, Lola, Denise, Sharon and Phil will all be there. However, the police decide that only Ian and Peter can go in, which leaves Ian shaken. As father and son head inside, the others are led into a separate room to watch the proceedings.

After the conference, Denise, Peter and Sharon demand to know why Keeble didn't stop a certain line of questioning from the reporters. However, Phil realises that Keeble believes Ian is hiding something and wanted to make him talk. Phil challenges Ian and demands to know what he is keeping quiet about…

Meanwhile, Mick asks Stan to talk to Cora, hoping that he can convince her to withdraw her scandalous accusations. Stan soon establishes that Cora knows the prostitute who is at the centre of it all.

Elsewhere, Cora considers making a phone call to Rainie, but backs out at the last moment.

Also today, Lauren wants to attend the press appeal in support of Peter, but Lola tells her to leave. Lauren is still confused about her feelings for Peter but is bluntly told by Whitney that she needs to move on.

Thursday

Mick tries to hand out vouchers for the Queen Vic's new drinks promotion, but he becomes paranoid that people are avoiding him and his anxiety causes him to snap at Fatboy. Dean recognises that the new promotion is important to Linda, so he whips together a crowd to attend the pub. The only problem is that people start to leave to go home and watch the televised police appeal, so Linda takes immediate action by airing it at the pub.

When the appeal is screened, everyone sees that the police are asking for witnesses to come forward who were on a bus with Lucy on the night that she died - in particular a man in a beanie hat who was sitting behind her and got off at the same stop. Soon afterwards, Phil rants at the punters for watching the appeal at the pub, claiming that it's a disgrace to see real-life tragedy being viewed as entertainment.

Meanwhile, Whitney and Abi notice Dean checking out Lauren at the pub, so they convince her to go and talk to him. Dean spots that Linda is watching and decides to flirt back with Lauren, causing a jealous Peter to make his excuses and leave.

Elsewhere, Linda warns Dean to stop hitting on her, but they later end up alone when Linda is upset following the day's events. A drunken Dean tries his luck and kisses Linda, but how will she respond?

Also today, Ian tells Phil the truth by confessing that he saw Rainie on Good Friday. He admits that Rainie is still blackmailing him, so Phil declares that Rainie is a problem that needs to be dealt with.

Finally, Sharon is conflicted when she sees Phil's loyalty and kindness towards Ian. She wonders whether she can really go ahead with her revenge plan.

Friday

When Abi gets her exam results, she informs Jay that she got into the University of Liverpool. Jay is concerned about the news, but overcompensates by arranging a gathering at Abi's place to celebrate. Lola can sense Jay's unease but reminds him that this is what Abi wants. However, it later becomes apparent that Jay's tension is not only related to Abi…

Later at the party, Abi appears tense and takes Jay aside to confess something. Soon afterwards, the mood at the celebration worsens when Fatboy turns on the latest news update about Lucy's murder, which causes Lauren to leave and run into Dean. He invites Lauren to join him for a takeaway.

Meanwhile, Linda receives roses at The Vic and hides them from Mick, assuming that they're from Dean. Later, Sharon arrives at the pub and apologises for Phil's aggressive outburst the night before. As the day continues and Linda attends the latest Fat Blasters class, Cora gives her a hard time about Mick. Linda tries to ignore her taunts but finally reacts when Cora goes too far…

Elsewhere, Emma assures Ian that the press conference has reignited the case. Ian tries to get in contact with Phil for further help, but Phil has headed off to find Rainie and sort the problem out for good…

Also today, Max is upset when it seems that Emma is giving him the brush-off.
