I've missed the last 6 months of Eastenders because I've been in hospital.

The last episode I saw I think was one where Fatboy and Denise were kissing at the end? (back in January).

So I was wondering if someone can update me on births/deaths/new characters.etc
and who's broken up or got back together since then? Any major storylines? Basically everything that's been happening.

Thank you :D

Cindy Jr is pregnant. TJ is the father. (This was revealed in January but I'm not sure whether it was before or after the episode you mentioned.)

Testing revealed that Carol's cancer was genetic. This resulted in various family members being tested for the BRCA gene. Sonia has the gene and is considering a mastectomy, as well as having marriage problems and sniffing around Tina Carter.

Stan Carter (Shirley's Dad), Aunt Babe (her Aunt) and Lee Carter are now in the show. Dean Wicks returned and has his eye on Linda.

Shirley Carter was revealed as Mick's mother. His biological father is someone called Andy. Only Phil knows this thus far.

Nancy had a couple of epileptic fits. Johnny got his first boyfriend who then left as he was foreign and only in London for a short time. Lee had brief flings with Lucy and Whitney.

Stacey returned and eventually handed herself in for Archie's murder. She's been sentenced to 5 years and Lily is in Brighton with Jean.

Honey Mitchell also returned, as William had a modelling job in Canada. Honey eventually left Janet with Billy and went off with William.

David Wicks left after Carol told him to go when their wedding didn't go to plan (he had a heart attack on the day.)

Terry and Bianca split up again.

Nikki Spraggan left after Terry told her there was no chance of a reunion.

Lucy Beale was murdered. Jake Stone was arrested for it but left Walford when he was bailed. Billy Mitchell is now under suspicion as Lee Carter saw him rowing with Lucy the night she died. He claims it was over some fish he stole (Peter had persuaded Ian to give Billy a job.) An unseen character buried her missing phone and purse at the allotment. Rainie Cross returned. Ian paid her for sex the night that Lucy died and she's now blackmailing him. Lucy was also seeing Max Branning prior to her murder. He's now seeing one of the police officers involved in the case, who also happens to be the Beales' FLO.

Mick has a phobia of water and can't swim as Shirley tried to drown him when he was a baby. Janet Mitchell asked him to take part in her sponsored swim, so he agreed. Ian has been teaching him to swim.

There is a new market inspector, Aleks. He is in a relationship with Roxy but had a secret wife and child back in Latvia. Alfie found out and told Roxy. Roxy took Aleks back. Aleks was also initially being paid to date Roxy by Ronnie. Roxy knows this.

Ronnie ran over Lola in the same spot as Danielle died and got a bit obsessed with Lola afterwards. Ronnie is now pregnant again, Charlie Cotton is the father as far as we know. She had a gun which she told Phil to get rid of but Sharon found it and kept it. Phil thinks Ronnie took it when she went away for a while.

Sharon is struggling following being attacked on the opening night at her new bar, The Albert. Phil was behind the attack (he'd told some illegal immigrants to scare her as she wouldn't take his advice about security, but they took it too far and Sharon ended up in hospital.) Shirley knows that Phil was behind it. Johnny Carter works at The Albert; Linda seems to want to use him to ruin the place.

Tina's ex Tosh turned up. They're back together and Tosh wants a baby. She's been violent on one or two occasions and Tina's now selling drugs to get the money for treatment.

The funeral director who did Pat's funeral, Les Coker, is now a main character and relocated his business to Walford. Billy works there. Nick Cotton is apparently dead (Les did the funeral) but it wasn't him in the coffin. 'Charlie Cotton' arrived claiming to be Nick's son and a police officer. It's unclear if he is who he says he is, but he has paid Les to keep him quiet. As far as we know, Charlie is the father of Ronnie's baby.

Dean opened a salon, Blades, where Butchers' Joints used to be.

Bridge Street market was merged with Spring Lane and there are a few traders who have moved to Bridge Street from Spring Lane - Pam Coker, Les's wife, selling flowers and Donna Yates selling clothes.

Alfie has been breaking various rules trying to make money. He conned an Australian woman out of 15k but she turned up and took the burger van that he bought with it. He's now got a clothing stall on the market but has done dodgy sidelines (fake tan and ice cream.) He also drove Terry's cab without a licence and had Terry help him on the stall without a traders' licence.

Janine returned briefly for her trial. Stacey was back in the country so Kat went to see Janine to try and get her to drop that false statement about Janine stabbing her. Janine said she would if Kat made a false statement saying that she saw Alice kill Michael. Kat did but ended up with a 2 year suspended sentence for perjury after Janine fessed up that she killed Michael in self defence, because Alice had tried to harm herself in prison. Janine and Alice were then found not guilty of murder and Janine went to France. Whether she went straight to collect Scarlett or after a lottery winner she met while waiting to board the EuroStar remains to be seen.

Linda Carter wants another baby, but Mick doesn't. It was revealed that Mick and Linda aren't actually married.

Ben was released from prison shortly before Lucy's murder. Only Jay currently knows where he is. Jay also knows about Max seeing the police officer (Emma Summerhayes) but decided not to tell. He also thinks that Max and Emma are over but they aren't. Abi knew about Max and Lucy and sent a photo to Max. Ian found out at Lucy's funeral.

Bobby left with Jane in the aftermath of Lucy's murder. Cindy went back to Gina's. Denise planned to leave Ian but didn't go through with it.

I believe it's culminating in the February's live episode to celebrate EE's 30th birthday. I'm enjoying the twists and turns and slow build-up personally. I think it's going to get a lot more exciting running up to Christmas and the 30th.
