Later, Roxy puts on a brave face when Aleks (Kristian Kiehling) comes over but when he gets defensive about his life in Lativa, Roxy quizzes Tamwar herself and is shocked to discover that Aleks is married.

As a furious Roxy reels from her discovery, she decides to come up with a plan. After inviting Aleks over for dinner, she angrily confronts him over his lies, but Aleks is unaware that she has already taken her revenge...

Monday

Alfie's latest money-making scheme sees him lumbered with a load of dodgy stock - some ice cream that is not quite right. Following some encouragement from Kat, he soon turns on the charm to shift the supply - but Aleks is still out to cause trouble for Alfie after last week and issues him with a fine for trading without the correct licence.

Later, Alfie goes into the market office to pay the fine and discovers that Aleks is hiding something. Alfie ropes in Tamwar to help him and they find out that Aleks has a wife in Latvia.

Meanwhile, Carol still has her family's financial issues on her mind as she attends a consultation to discuss her mastectomy. She decides to have a single rather than a double so that she can get back to work more quickly.

Elsewhere, Tina has a performance review with Ian today and feels under pressure as Tosh reminds her that they need every last penny for the baby. An over-eager Tina bombards Ian with phone calls to hurry along the review - pulling him away from Peter, who is experiencing a tough day. Angered by Tina's behaviour, a ruthless Ian sacks her on the spot. Tina doesn't want to share this bad news with Tosh, so she calls in a favour from Aunt Babe.

Also today, Johnny has a love bite on his neck as he returns from Gay Pride and he is also busy texting a potential love interest.

Finally, Linda is worried when there is no sign of Shirley but Dean doesn't share her concerns, while Nikki returns to Walford after finding herself homeless.

Tuesday

It's Linda's birthday and Dean offers her a special pamper at Blades as a gift. As the rest of the family prepare a birthday meal for Linda, Dean helps Linda to unwind and enjoys the one-on-one time that he spends with her.

Later, Mick invites Dean to join the rest of the family for Linda's celebratory dinner. Linda is happy Dean is there but is oblivious to his growing infatuation…

Meanwhile, Dot gives Carol some honest advice about her upcoming operation. Later, when Carol finds a loan company representative on her doorstep, Liam is forced to come clean about Bianca's money problems. Desperate to help out, Carol gets her job back at the café. When Tina learns of Carol's money worries, she invites her to get involved with her scheme…

Elsewhere, Alfie tries to convince Roxy that Aleks isn't right for her following his recent discovery, but she brushes off his concerns. Later, Aleks comes over to Roxy's place for dinner but becomes defensive when she asks questions about his life in Latvia. Deciding to approach Tamwar for the truth, Roxy demands to see the proof that Aleks is married.

Also today, Donna takes a liking to Terry but is disappointed when she sees him and Nikki spending time together.

Thursday

The continued tension over financial worries gets worse at the Butcher household when the bailiff pays another visit. When Sonia discovers that Bianca has taken out a huge loan, she assumes that Bianca is behind Carol's decision over her surgery and the two sisters clash.

Later, Carol resorts to heartbreaking measures to help settle Bianca's debts. When selling her family's possessions isn't enough, Carol decides to take Tina up on her offer…

Meanwhile, Sonia comes up with her own money-making scheme - setting up a Fat Blasters class and getting some of the Walford women involved.

Elsewhere, Bianca turns back to Terry for support. Afterwards he stands up to Nikki, who still wants them to get back together.

Also today, Roxy remains furious following her discovery about Aleks and sets him up for a fall when she invites him over for dinner.

Friday

Tina wants to take Carol to meet Aunt Babe so they can get their plan off the ground, but a reluctant Carol puts it off. Carol seeks advice from Dot over whether she should go ahead with Tina's plan, but Dot misinterprets her and assumes that she is just talking about the operation.

Later, Carol gets annoyed when the women at the Fat Blasters class insist on talking about her illness. This prompts her to make a decision…

Meanwhile, Nikki wants to tell the kids that she and Terry are back together, but he is hesitant after realising that getting back with her would be for the wrong reasons. When Terry tells Nikki that he has changed his mind, she leaves Albert Square.

EastEnders has confirmed that it will air an hour-long episode on Thursday evening (July 3).

The Walford soap's usual Tuesday night edition was postponed due to the World Cup yesterday after the Argentina vs. Switzerland match ran into extra time, forcing BBC One to change its planned schedule.

The show's bosses have now confirmed that EastEnders will screen an hour-long edition between 7.30pm and 8.30pm tomorrow, merging Tuesday's episode with the regular Thursday airing.

EastEnders' change in schedule will mean another clash with ITV's Emmerdale, which airs the second of two episodes at 8pm on Thursday.
