Personally im so bored with the whole david/priya/alicia storyline that i turn over just shows how even the writers on the show struggle to come up with anything interesting for any of the characters get rid its a yawn fest

Coming up on Emmerdale, Dan Spencer makes a big decision as his future with Kerry Wyatt is thrown into question.

Over the past few days, viewers have seen that Dan (Liam Fox) is reluctant to marry Kerry, thwarting her desperate desire for a wedding.

When Dan finally opens up to Kerry (Laura Norton) by revealing exactly why he doesn't want to get married again, he hopes it will be the end of the matter - but his candid words end up hurting her feelings.

The next day, Dan finally cracks as he fears that things are now over between him and Kerry.

Kerry seemingly gets what she wants when Dan proposes to her with a makeshift ring at The Woolpack, but is it now too little too late?

Monday

David and Jai arrive at the hospital just as Priya and baby are whisked off. David worries when he realises the baby might be in danger. Later, the doctor tells David and Priya that they can see their daughter and Priya thanks Alicia for what she did.

As they stand over the incubator, David assures Priya that she will be a good mum, but she is scared and not ready. As David nags Priya about eating something, the monitor starts beeping. They are forced to step back as the doctors and nurses rush over - it's clear the baby is not well…

Meanwhile, Charity tells Declan that Megan shouldn't be left alone, but he is insistent. Charity is stuck over what to do, as the clinic have refused to let her collect the second dose of medication for the termination. How will Charity deter Declan and his plans?

Elsewhere, Moira is fearful of what James will do next.

Also today, Dan is honest with Kerry over why he doesn't want to marry her, but his words hurt her.


Tuesday

Megan is dubious when Charity says that she feels a cramp in her stomach, but Declan instructs her to go home and rest. Later, Charity assures Declan that she will be fine, explaining that she needs to pop out.

Megan is unimpressed with Charity's attitude and makes digs at her. As the bickering continues, the insults become increasingly pointed and personal. Debbie arrives in the midst of Charity and Megan's row, which reaches boiling point when Megan unintentionally knocks Charity to the ground.

Charity winces in pain, but instantly recognises an opportunity. Charity insists that she doesn't need to go to hospital, keen to avoid alarming Declan. Charity milks it as a guilty Megan keeps apologising. Will Charity somehow manage to pin 'losing' her baby on Megan?

Meanwhile, David finally snaps at Priya about how little she has eaten and forces her to have a cereal bar. Jai is relieved when she eats it, but is unsure about David's approach. Later, the doctor arrives with news for David and Priya - but will it be good? And at this testing time, is Priya reading too much into David's support?

At the same time, Alicia worries about being pushed out of David's life.

Elsewhere, Finn is shocked to see Simon while driving Declan's car. Finn continues in his deceit of being 'Declan' and arranges to meet Simon again, but Finn is playing a dangerous game.

Also today, Donna and Swirling return from a night shift with bags of cash. Donna braces herself to steal again as she asks Swirling to go and get the coffees in. Donna then suggests that she and Ross should meet. Later, Donna propositions Ross Barton, but not in the way he might have expected…

Finally, worried things are over between him and Kerry, Dan proposes to Kerry with a makeshift ring, but is it too little too late?


Thursday

At the hospital, a guilty Charity hopes her miscarriage story will ring true and her recent termination won't be apparent during the ultrasound. When the sonographer can't find a heartbeat, Declan loses it. Declan pushes the doctor for answers and breaks down in distress while Charity wrestles her guilty conscience.

At the same time, Chas and Cain are troubled about their shared secret as news spreads about Charity having lost the baby. Later, Charity is inscrutable when Megan arrives asking if she's going to tell Declan about the fall. With Declan in such a state and Megan devastated, what will Charity's next move be?

Meanwhile, a cool Donna arranges to meet Ross in secret. At the same time, Ross casually asks Cain about Donna, hoping to ascertain if she's crooked or straight. Cain gives his answer and Ross darkens to think he's been right all along. Later, Donna asks Ross why he didn't show up and her cool façade crumbles as he patronises her. Donna fails to disguise her panic that time is running out for her.

Elsewhere, David tells Alicia that he's going to pick up Priya from the hospital. Later, Alicia admits to Leyla that she is feeling left out, but Leyla isn't sympathetic.

Also today, Finn finally admits to Victoria that he is seeing someone but is not ready to introduce him yet.


Friday

Charity tells Debbie that she's not going to tell Declan about her row with Megan, but is stressed to discover that Chas knows. At the same time, Megan's head is in a spin as she is terrified that Declan will find out.

Later, Chas visits Charity, warning that her lies will come out. Megan also struggles with the pressure and finds herself apologising to Charity once again. But with the deception having got too much for Megan, she soon makes two life-changing decisions…

Meanwhile, Robbie winds up Finn by answering Simon's call. Robbie taunts Finn by inviting Simon up to Home Farm. Simon arrives and Finn is panicked, wanting to tell him the truth about his identity but failing.

The situation gets worse for Finn when an angry builder arrives wanting money that is owed. In front of Simon, Finn is forced once again to play the part of Declan. Having been caught off guard, Finn soon finds himself offering to do an immediate bank transfer to the man. Totally in a panic and with none of the right passwords, how will Finn get himself out of this scrape?

Elsewhere, Donna offers Ross help with stolen cars and he is intrigued by her, but has no idea what her game is. Later, Donna arrives with a list of stolen cars he should avoid as the police are tracking them. However, Ross smells a rat, believing Donna has set him up. Can Donna get Ross to trust her before it's too late?

Also today, Priya stays in a clinic to practice breastfeeding Amba. She tells a delighted David that she wants to name her Amba Metcalfe.

Finally, Chas contemplates her situation with James and is not happy that he's gone straight back to work, while Paddy worries about being away from Rhona when he goes to America.

Emmerdale businessman Declan Macey is left devastated in tonight's episode (May 22) as his dreams of becoming a father are cruelly crushed.

After a long wait at the hospital, a sonographer confirms that Declan's wife Charity (Emma Atkins) has lost her baby as he cannot find a heartbeat.

The news leaves Declan (Jason Merrells) inconsolable as he has once again missed out on a chance to be a dad, while Charity is grimly satisfied that her recent miscarriage wasn't apparent during the ultrasound.

However, just when Charity is breathing a sigh of relief that her plan has worked, she is startled to spot the extent of Declan's devastation. With guilt now starting to kick in, how long can Charity maintain this deception?
