This was in TV Choice

"As Shirley receives a blast from the past, Phil gets a shock when he tries to lay a few ghosts of his own to rest. Could their mutual despair bring the former lovers back together again?"

and Inside soap say Dean is back this week :)

Dean must be the unexpected visitor. About time, his return has been dragged out more than Stacey's!

I also thought that Lucy's funeral was this week, but it's not clear from the spoilers.

I have heard the funeral is the week after, although thats not confirmed yet.

That's looking more likely now. The cast lists went up late last night and Les appears on the Friday, so that's probably the start of the funeral arrangements. The funeral itself can't be this week as Christian is returning for it and isn't in the cast lists.

They take surprise returns off the cast lists now, Dean isnt in them. But yes funeral is week 20,im wondering what happens with phil&Shirley as they are nowhere near each other in the Friday cast list

EastEnders fans will see Shirley Carter make a move on her ex-partner Phil Mitchell later this month.

Shirley (Linda Henry) turns to Phil for comfort after an unexpected reunion with her son Dean ends badly.

Upcoming episodes see Shirley and Dean (Matt Di Angelo) come face-to-face for the first time in years when Stan tricks his grandson into paying a visit to the Queen Vic.

While Shirley is delighted to see her son, Dean is still filled with bitterness over their turbulent history and humiliates her by revealing some home truths in front of the whole pub.

Upset over the row, Shirley falls back on old habits by hitting the bottle. She also tries to retrieve some keepsakes of her kids from the Butcher house, but faces opposition when Bianca refuses to cooperate.

When Phil (Steve McFadden) finds out what is going on, he gets a drunken Shirley up from the pavement outside Ian's restaurant and successfully bribes Tiffany into getting her stuff back.

Shirley is grateful for Phil's support and responds by trying to kiss him, but will he return her advances?

Not sure i like her being the one to make the move, if he rejects her she will only be more miserable.

Monday

Lola's interview about Lucy is published in the Walford Gazette, which leaves Peter exasperated. Lola defends her decision, but Peter orders her to stay away from Ian. Billy also faces the repercussions when he has to defend his granddaughter to the Carters.

At the same time, Lauren is frustrated as she waits for news from the police regarding the statement she has made about Jake. Soon afterwards, Lauren sees Jake talking to Peter and demands that he stays away. As a result of Lauren's earlier actions with the police, they soon swoop in and make an arrest - shocking the local residents…

Meanwhile, Dot is shocked when she makes a discovery about Charlie and demands answers. After confiding in Shirley, Dot does some of her own detective work. Later, Charlie is shocked to find his mum Yvonne sitting in Dot's house. Will Dot get the answers she wants?

Elsewhere, after David sends the girls out wedding dress shopping, Nikki continues to play with fire and propositions him. Later, David visits Nikki at home and again turns her down. Nikki claims that Carol is no match to her, but David warns her to stay away.

Also today, Cora and Stan's friendship grows when she pays him a visit and thanks him for his loan.

Tuesday

Shirley tries to chuck Stan out of The Vic after rowing with him once again. However, she is stopped in her tracks when Nancy collapses and has a fit. Shirley is surprised to witness Stan's softer side as he takes control of the situation.

Later, Shirley gets the credit for Stan's actions and agrees that he can stay after all. However, the surprising events of the day aren't over for Shirley as her estranged son Dean arrives at the pub…

Meanwhile, Jake's arrest is continuing to cause shockwaves and Ian receives a visit from the police to update him on the situation. Peter soon decides to spend some time at Ian's, which pushes Lola further away. Peter also persuades Lauren to get the lettings agency back on track, but after they spend the evening together, they find themselves in a compromising position.

At the same time, Phil visits Ian in the hope of helping him get his life back on track. Phil persuades Ian to reopen the restaurant and some words from Ian soon make an impact on Phil. He puts a call in to Ritchie to say that he wants to visit Ben, but Ritchie later visits Phil and stuns him with some news…

Elsewhere, with David and Carol's wedding on the way, Liam confronts David about what he saw with Nikki. David is quick to deny it, claiming that Liam has got the wrong end of the stick. However, Liam remains unsure and considers telling Carol everything.

Thursday

Shirley's happiness over Dean's return is short-lived when he cuts into her, so she retreats upstairs. Mick tries to persuade Shirley to make more of an effort with Dean, while Dean isn't happy that Stan has set him up. When Shirley does try again, Dean humiliates her by revealing some home truths in front of the whole pub. Unimpressed by Dean's behaviour, Mick throws a punch and sends Dean crashing to the floor.

Later, Shirley and Stan come to blows upstairs…

Meanwhile, Lola seeks comfort in Abi, Jay and a bottle of schnapps. However, when an angry Phil returns to the house, he kicks the girls out.

Elsewhere, Peter tries to console his dad, but Ian suggests that maybe it's time for them to let go of Walford. Peter is determined not to let his dad give up and he eventually persuades him to carry on with the restaurant.

Friday

Lauren continues to show her support to Peter as he rounds everyone up for the reopening of the restaurant, knowing that it will give Ian something to focus on. Soon afterwards, DC Summerhayes arrives to tell Peter that Lucy's body has been released by the coroner.

Peter decides not to share this news with his dad until after the reopening, but when Denise asks Peter about the visit from the police, Ian overhears and charges straight over to the Cokers'…

Meanwhile, Shirley hits the bottle after her row with Dean, but at the Minute Mart, Denise refuses to let Shirley drink herself silly and takes her back to the Beale house. Later, Shirley sets off on a mission to retrieve some keepsakes of the kids from the Butchers', but she fails when an unhelpful Bianca refuses to let her in to the house.

Later, it's Phil who gets Shirley up from the pavement outside the restaurant and he successfully bribes Tiffany into getting her stuff back. Shirley is touched and she goes to kiss Phil.
