When David sees an emotional Nikki (Rachel Wilde) sitting alone on the Square, he tries his best to console her as they share a moment alone.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday, May 9 at 8pm on BBC One.
Monday
David discovers that the car lot has been broken into. When he goes to check the CCTV footage, he is surprised to see that it has been deleted.
Later, Liam helps David to recover the back-up tapes and David is shocked to watch footage of Lucy and Max arguing on the night she died. How will he react after seeing the evidence?
Meanwhile, Bianca and Sonia decide to move on from their argument following Carol's shock collapse. At the hospital, a nurse explains that Carol's latest health scare was due to an infection, which she had been ignoring the symptoms of. After putting on a brave face for everyone, Carol is honest with David by revealing that she is terrified.
Elsewhere, Sonia decides to finally face the reality of her gene test results by making an appointment with the geneticist. She also plans to tell Martin the truth.
Also today, Dexter suggests that he and Jay should get a flat together so that Cora can afford somewhere new to stay. Determined not to let this happen, Cora steals money from the laundrette and tells Dexter that they will stick together.
Finally, Lauren is tempted to turn to drink but eventually decides to carry on the lettings agency alone, Nancy feels like she is being taken advantage of by her family and Mick has a novel way of sorting it out, while Tosh and Shirley continue to compete for Tina's affection.
Tuesday
Now focused on the business, Lauren finds an email from a client who wanted to see her on the day that Lucy was killed. This makes Lauren wonder whether Lucy went to meet them instead.
Lauren goes straight to the police station to share her theory, but is left disappointed when they don't take her seriously. After speaking to Ian, Lauren decides to take matters into her own hands and arranges a meeting…
Meanwhile, it's Tina's birthday but Shirley and Tosh are arguing about who she should spend it with. Although they agree to organise a party together, the tension continues as they try to compete with each other.
In the end, Tina flees her own party as the bickering becomes too much. She has a heart-to-heart with Sonia, who is also celebrating her birthday today. Sonia continues to confide in Tina, explaining that she hasn't told Martin about the gene test results like her family believe. Later, Tina returns to the party and agrees to move in with Tosh.
Elsewhere, Carol returns home from hospital but grows impatient with being mollycoddled. She asks David to take her to the registry office.
Also today, Dexter tries to sort things out with Nancy but she mistakes him for an intruder and punches him. Dexter tells Nancy how he feels about her, but does she feel the same way?
Finally, Dot catches Cora stealing from the laundrette, while Peter is inspired by Lauren returning to work and speaks to Aleks about getting his stall back.
Thursday
Lauren wonders whether she should really go through with the meeting. When Peter picks up on her suspicious behaviour, he finds the email and confronts Lauren. Peter advises her to let it go as the police have already followed this lead and interfering with the investigation isn't a good idea.
Despite Peter's warnings, Lauren agrees to meet the emailer at the café. Peter arrives to try to stop her, but they row further and he ends up leaving. Soon afterwards, Lauren finally comes face-to-face with the mystery person - who isn't a stranger…
Meanwhile, Peter is grateful for Alfie's friendship on his first day back on the market, especially when Alfie suggests a new business idea. At the same time, Lola decides to cook dinner for Peter but he lies to her by claiming that he has other plans with Alfie.
Elsewhere, Tosh begins to regret her new living arrangements when she is reminded of how messy Tina is. Shirley is delighted that they're already arguing, but this prompts Tosh to reach a compromise with Tina. At the same time, Aleks covers for Jake when Tosh questions who has drunk her beers.
Also today, Dot suggests that Charlie should move to Walford but is taken aback when he proposes that she should move near him instead. At the same time, Pam worries that the funeral home doesn't have any business, but Les hatches a plan when he learns that Charlie is still in Walford…
Finally, when Carol's wig arrives, David is thrown by her appearance and struggles to hide this.
Friday
Fatboy becomes jealous as Dot and Charlie continue to grow closer, but after some advice from Mick, he decides to make the effort to bond with Charlie.
Soon afterwards, Fatboy is shocked when Charlie reveals that Dot is leaving the Square. However, he soon finds a reason to doubt Charlie's character when he stumbles across some suspicious activity. Is he right to be worried, or is he jumping to conclusions?
Meanwhile, Carol gets upset when she realises that David is trying to avoid her. David goes to get them a takeaway as he tries to make amends, but gets distracted when he spots Nikki upset. Nikki tries to kiss David, but he pulls away. This comes just as Nikki is told that she has been moved to work at the check-in desks so will be sticking around.
Elsewhere, Lola fails to comfort Peter with the dinner she has made.
EastEnders' Lauren Branning is left terrified in tonight's episode (May 9) as she continues to search for answers over Lucy Beale's murder.
Last night, viewers saw Lauren's detective work have an unexpected outcome as she discovered that Jake Stone (Jamie Lomas) was the mystery person who emailed her on the night Lucy died - making him a possible suspect in the case.
After coming face-to-face with Jake, a curious Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) frantically heads off in search of information about his whereabouts on Good Friday.
Later, when Lauren gets home, she is startled as Jake manages to get inside the house.
A horrified Lauren immediately tries to flee as she is now convinced that Jake was the killer, but he prevents her from leaving and grabs her. Will Lauren get away?
