Coming up on Coronation Street, Carla Barlow's relationship with husband Peter hits a crisis when she discovers that he is drinking again.

An upcoming episode sees Peter (Chris Gascoyne) hit the bottle for the second time in a month as he remains stressed over his affair with Tina McIntyre.

Although Peter tried once again to end things with Tina in Friday night's episodes (April 4), she won't let go of their relationship so easily.

When Tina tells Peter that she has the flat to herself, he is unable to resist temptation and makes his way to her bedroom.

At the same time, an annoyed Carla (Alison King) calls Peter's phone repeatedly, as he's supposed to be watching a film with her and Simon.

Once Peter finally sees all of the missed calls, he leaves a hurt Tina behind. Wracked with guilt, Peter then drowns his sorrows in the factory, but Carla later smells the whisky on his breath and knows that he is back off the wagon.

The next day, Peter struggles to find a way to explain himself to Carla, so he claims that he drank because of the stress he's been under to be a perfect husband and father.

Carla is unimpressed by this excuse and quickly gives Peter an ultimatum - if he drinks again, she won't be going through with her pregnancy…

Monday

Dressed to kill, Tina turns up at The Rovers in a bid to win Peter back. An impressed Luke tries to flirt with Tina, but Steph tells him to stop wasting his time.

Quietly whispering to Peter that she has the flat to herself, will Peter be able to resist temptation?

Meanwhile, Anna is worried sick when Owen and Gary arrive in the café after being given their marching orders by Phelan. When Phelan later calls round at Number 6 with an announcement for the family, Anna is rooted to the spot. Is he about to reveal their sordid deal?

Elsewhere, Jenna is unimpressed when Andrea tells her that she won't give up on Lloyd. Lloyd is grateful when Steve tells him that his relationship with Andrea is purely platonic and that Andrea loves him.

Also, aware of Tyrone's concerns that Kirsty might try to snatch Ruby, Maria then worries that Marcus might try to snatch Liam. Taking the week off, she barricades herself into the salon flat with Liam.

Finally, Kevin is shocked when he finds a desperate Sophie and Maddie raiding the fridge at Number 13.

As Tina and Peter make their way to the bedroom, a frustrated Carla calls his phone repeatedly, as he's supposed to be watching a film with her and Simon.

Meanwhile, Anna is relieved when Phelan claims that he released Owen and Gary because Anna had a word with Valerie. He tosses the CCTV footage to Gary, pointing out that they won't see a penny of their £80k. As Owen thanks Anna for talking to Valerie, will a sickened Anna be able to cope with the reality of what she's done?

Elsewhere, Tyrone and Fiz drag Maria out for a drink, but as Maria and Tyrone reminisce about old times, Maria can't help but feel a longing for the relationship they once had.

Also, Sally is furious when Kevin tells Maddie and Sophie they can move in with him.

Finally, Lloyd and Andrea bury the hatchet and declare their love for each other.


Wednesday

Carla is furious that Peter has been drinking. Under pressure, Peter makes out that it's because of the stress he's under to be a perfect husband and father.

Carla is unimpressed and gives Peter an ultimatum - if he drinks again, they won't be having a baby.

Meanwhile, Maria is irritated as she listens to Fiz and Tyrone, who are clearly the happy couple. Seeing Todd, Maria follows him out of the pub and launches a tirade of abuse at him. However, when Todd retaliates with a hurtful comment about Marcus, Maria can take no more and throws her mobile at him. Tyrone comforts Maria, but is she wishing they're more than just friends?

Elsewhere, Anna fights back the tears as Izzy thanks her for sorting out the family's problem. As Owen reaches out to touch Anna, she flinches. Is it all too much for Anna?

Also today, Steve is pleased when Lloyd and Andrea arrive in The Rovers loved up.

Finally, Kevin lays down the law to Maddie.


Friday

Audrey sends Maria home after she is rude to customers. Maria then loses her temper with Eileen and Todd when they threaten to report her to the police for assault.

Seeing Maria's distress, Tyrone steps in and guides her home, where Maria pours her heart out to him. Maria tells Tyrone that he was her first love and leans in for a kiss, but how will Tyrone react?

Meanwhile, Peter feels humiliated when Carla tells him that he needs a stint in rehab and Steve is coming round to babysit him. Peter begs Steve to let him have a drink, but Steve refuses. Peter tells Carla that he doesn't need a chaperone, but Carla ignores him and takes out her phone. Who will she call?

Elsewhere, Rita is shocked to learn that Dennis is in hospital after being beaten up. She goes to visit him and tells him that he has some explaining to do.

Also, a worried Fiz asks Kevin to keep an eye on Tyrone.

Finally, Gail starts self-defence classes at the gym, while Deirdre is concerned when Tracy tells Rob that she reckons they should talk to Tony about his offer of cheap gear for the shop.


A mortified Maria apologises to Tyrone, assuring him that she wasn't thinking straight. She later pushes a present for Ruby through Tyrone's letterbox and sends him a text from her new pay-as-you-go phone.

When a horrified Tyrone reads the text from an unknown number, he instantly thinks it's from Kirsty, so he and Fiz barricade themselves in. When Maria turns up, Tyrone shows her the text. Rather than confessing it's from her, Maria uses Tyrone's fear as an excuse to comfort him.

Meanwhile, Rob tells Tracy, Liz, and Steve that he thinks Peter has another woman on the go. At Carla's request, Tina babysits Peter where she tells him she loves him - however Peter insists she's better off without him. As Carla and Peter leave for rehab, has Peter's guilt finally tipped him over the edge?

Elsewhere, Rita is unsympathetic when Dennis tells her how it all went wrong with Gloria and he ended up sleeping on the streets. However, she later allows him to stay on her sofa, making it clear that it's only temporary.

Also, Tracy and Rob strike a deal with Tony and agree to sell his knock-off goods in their shop.

Finally, Mary tells Gail that she has also signed up for the self-defence course.

Coronation Street barmaid Tina McIntyre gets exactly what she wants as she makes a play for Peter Barlow in tonight's episodes (April 14).

With Tina (Michelle Keegan) feeling down following the end of her affair with Peter, she decides to try her best to win him back.

After visiting Audrey's salon and asking for the works, Tina heads to The Rovers and tries to tempt Peter by revealing that she's free all evening.
