Over on EastEnders, Denise Fox takes action when she becomes suspicious over the close bond that her fiancé Ian Beale still shares with his ex-wife Jane.

Wanting to see if she has anything to worry about, Denise (Diane Parish) decides to invite Jane (Laurie Brett) along to a dinner party that she is hosting at the Beale house.

Denise teams up with Shabnam Masood for the plan, inviting Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra) along to the meal too.

On face value, it seems that Denise and Shabnam are both united with an aim to keep Jane's attention on Masood - but Denise doesn't realise that scheming Shabnam may have plans of her own.

Later, Denise is furious as the dinner doesn't go the way she had planned. To her frustration, Jane and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) warmly reminisce over their past - and Shabnam (Rakhee Thakrar) does her best to encourage the situation.

Once they're left alone for a moment, Ian also seems to have more than friendship on his mind when he asks Jane whether she still thinks about him recently attempting to kiss her.

As the evening continues, Denise slowly realises that Shabnam's true intentions were to push Jane away from Masood and closer to Ian.

Things look up for Denise when Jane kisses Masood - but is she just doing this to prove a point to Shabnam and Ian, or does she really have feelings for Masood?

Monday

Mick's family are shocked over his bruised face. He claims that some kids were responsible, but it's clear that he's not being honest. Mick has a theory about what happened, but when he visits Stan in hospital for answers, Stan informs him that he is mistaken.

Later, Tina gets angry when she finds out that Mick knew Stan was in hospital. Tina wants to invite Stan to The Vic to stay, and even though Mick dismisses this suggestion, she has other ideas…

Meanwhile, Denise starts to become suspicious over Jane and Ian's relationship, but after testing them, she is reassured. Later, Denise and Shabnam hatch a plan to invite Jane, Ian and Masood over for a home-cooked dinner. What are Shabnam's intentions?

Elsewhere, Lauren celebrates her birthday by going on a night out with Lucy. As Lauren is becoming suspicious over Lucy and Jake's relationship, she searches through her friend's phone but is caught snooping. Lucy convinces Lauren that nothing is going on, but once she is alone, it's clear that she is hiding something.

Also today, Johnny has second thoughts about being a mole for Linda at the new bar when he bonds with Sharon.

Tuesday

Tina has caused upset among the Carters by bringing Stan to The Vic, but she remains defiant even after she hears some home truths about Stan. Mick agrees that Stan can stay until he has recuperated, but Shirley isn't happy.

Just when it seems that Stan is starting to bond with his family, he shows his true colours over dinner. Mick asks Stan to accompany him to get his things from his flat, but in reality, Mick has had enough and lets Stan know how he feels…

Meanwhile, the dinner isn't going the way Denise planned as Jane and Ian continue to reminisce. Shabnam is also encouraging the situation, and it seems that her scheming doesn't end there when Denise discovers that her main course has burnt. Denise immediately suspects sabotage and clocks onto Shabnam's true intentions - she wanted to push Jane away from Masood and closer to Ian. However, in a twist, Jane kisses Masood to send a message to Shabnam.

Elsewhere, Johnny has offered up Sharon's bar as a private party venue for Lauren's birthday, as the gang's original plans have fallen through. Lauren once again fears that Lucy is hiding something when she catches her on the phone, but she accepts her friend's excuse. Later, Whitney kisses Johnny after Peter upsets her. Towards the end of the evening, Sharon and Phil visit the bar and give chase as they're horrified to stumble upon the secret party.

Also today, Carol is still angry with David. Rather than spend the evening with him, she decides to see Max before his genetic test tomorrow.

Thursday

Lucy and Lauren head to the Branning house and are quickly joined by Whitney, who is embarrassed after what happened. However, it quickly becomes clear that Lucy would rather be somewhere else.

When some insensitive behaviour from Lucy upsets Whitney further, Lucy seizes this opportunity to leave. After receiving another text message, she heads off…

Meanwhile, Masood is well aware that Jane is using him, but he decides to play along anyway. Shabnam ends up leaving the dinner party and is crushed over the failure of her plan. Later, Masood returns home and explains that he and Jane aren't really together.

Elsewhere, when Mick finds that Stan's flat is in a mess, he fears that an intruder is to blame. However, it turns out that Shirley is there and is planning on staying while Stan is at The Vic. Mick decides to tell Shirley what he has done.

Also today, Johnny has to face Sharon and Phil's wrath. Disappointed over Johnny's behaviour, Sharon fires him.

Finally, Jake goes all-out as he prepares a special meal for two. With Aleks watching on, he anxiously awaits his guest's arrival.

Friday

The opening night of Sharon's bar has arrived. Feeling threatened over the competition, Linda takes her frustration out on Johnny. Things look up for Johnny when he convinces Sharon to give him his job back, but when Linda's attitude continues to cause problems, he tells her not to attend the grand opening with the rest of the family.

Soon afterwards, the Carters are all forced to rush back to The Vic after some shocking news.

Meanwhile, Carol informs Lauren that Max is going for his gene test today. Lauren decides to accompany her father to the appointment so that he won't be on his own. Later, once Lauren is back home, Lucy visits her with some good news - she has secured a meeting for them to discuss running the lettings campaign for Walford Common.

Elsewhere, although Whitney and Johnny try to fix their friendship, it's clear that Whitney wants more. Following some advice from Tina, Whitney decides they can't be friends.

Also today, Bianca causes a drunken scene at Sharon's bar, but is comforted by Terry when she reveals the reason behind her behaviour.
