I wonder does Zak make her?
I wonder does Zak make her?
yes he does after she confides in him - but why then is he shocked that he might lose her to prison and the system? what did he think would happen - slap on the wrist and no tea before bed??!!

Yes, I think he does - Belle did not realise Gemma was unwell, fell and subsequently died, it happened after they separated so in his eyes she is not to blame. Not sure she would get prison though at her age if she was convicted??

Coming up on Emmerdale, Debbie Dingle lashes out at a client as she remains haunted by last year's traumatic events.
Upcoming episodes will show that Debbie (Charley Webb) clearly hasn't fully moved on from her experiences with serial killer Cameron Murray.
When Debbie attends a call-out, she becomes infuriated as the male customer persistently flirts with her and refuses to take no for an answer.
Debbie then ends up assaulting the man when he tries to touch her shoulder. Shocked by her own actions, Debbie drives away in a panic.
Later, Debbie is horrified as the police come calling and arrest her - in full view of her new love interest Pete Barton…

Debbie worries about what her punishment will be
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, April 3 at 7pm on ITV.
Monday
News of Belle's confession spreads amongst the Dingle family, who are quick to rally round and support the teen as they accompany her to the police station.
Devastation soon hits when Belle is charged with murder. How will Dom react to hear of this development?
Meanwhile, when James gives Katie the necklace he bought for Chas, Katie is keen to pass on the gift to her friend. Chas dismisses the necklace, believing it to be a gift born from guilt, until Katie persuades her otherwise. Will Chas be swayed and give James another chance?
Elsewhere, a cocky Jacob begins his dodgy dealings with his stash of stolen goods from the shop, but soon turns sheepish when Val catches him holding a cigarette that he has sold to a boy from school. He pleads with her to not tell Alicia and David. Val leaves, taking the goods with her, but Jacob suggests to Noah that they're still in business.
Also today, Debbie has an alarm fitted at Mulberry Cottage.
Tuesday
Zak offers a nervous Belle comfort as she prepares for court, leaving Lisa feeling excluded. Dom is still reeling from the news and struggles to contain his anger when he finds out that Belle has been released on bail.
Later, Lisa begs Jai for her job back and continues to blame Zak for the drama that has unfolded. Will the pair be able to put their differences aside? And what effect will it have on Belle?
Meanwhile, knowing that she has the upper hand, Val teases Jacob that she will rat on him and uses the power to her advantage by coaxing him into helping Eric clean the windows. With the B&B in high demand, Val moves back to the barn, but whilst there may be flicker of feeling from her, Eric knows he still faces an uphill battle if he is to win Val back.
Elsewhere, Ross continues to use the garage to store stolen cars as a side business between him and Debbie. Cain becomes suspicious by the sudden increase in cars, reminding them that it would be a bad time to be caught doing anything dodgy, but will the pair listen?
Also today, Cain is unimpressed when he learns that Chas and James are back together.
Finally, Edna is keen to avoid any fuss on her birthday, but it seems Sandy and Harriet have other ideas.
Wednesday
When a guest posts a review on the B&B's website announcing that a member of staff is HIV positive, Finn automatically assumes that it's an attack on him. However, a chat with Victoria and Diane soon reveals that it is Val.
Val is mortified to learn of the review, but when news of the post spreads round the village, she takes it upon herself to announce her status. How will everyone react?
Meanwhile, tensions remain high at the Dingle household, with Lisa and Zak still at loggerheads over his decision to take Belle to the police. Their marriage is on the verge of ending, but can they put their differences aside for the sake of the family?
Elsewhere, when the police come looking around the garage for some missing cars, Cain quickly covers for Debbie, confirming his suspicions that her and Ross have been engaging in some dodgy dealings. Cain warns Debbie that now is not the time to be in the police's bad books, but will she be able to resist the next offer?
Also today, at Edna's surprise tea party she receives a scratch card from Sandy, which she soon throws away. Harriet digs it out and soon discovers that Edna has won £20k - but when she tells the birthday girl, she is urged to keep quiet about their jackpot.
Finally, Bernice embarks on a new business adventure, deciding the village is in need of a salon.
Thursday (1)
Debbie's past with Cameron is obviously still plaguing her. When she attends a call-out, the male customer persistently flirts with her, causing Debbie to become annoyed.
When the man touches her shoulder, Debbie lashes out and assaults him. She drives away in a panic, but the police soon catch up with Debbie and arrest her - in full display of a confused Pete.
Meanwhile, Val continues her mission to find out who the internet troll is, and she enlists the help of Finn. They investigate the username and track it down to a user of a sci-fi website. This immediately rings alarm bells for Val, who quickly believes the troll to be Ian and sets about plotting her revenge.
Elsewhere, Belle makes the bold decision to plead guilty, much to Zak's shock - but how will Lisa react when she finds out? And will they be able to persuade their daughter to change her mind?
Also today, considering her eating disorder, Priya worries that she may struggle when she makes the decision to return to work under the strain of prying eyes.
Thursday (2)
Debbie is released on bail pending further enquiries and is surprised to find Pete already waiting to pick her up. She reveals to Pete what happened, which provokes him to pay the client a visit, threatening him in a bid to make him drop the charges.
Debbie is impressed by Pete's gesture and the pair are soon in a passionate embrace.
Meanwhile, Jacob's actions come to surface when Val reveals that he is the one who has been stealing stock from the shop, much to David and Alicia's shock. Jacob tries to deny the accusation but soon takes responsibility, leading Eric to work out that Jacob is also behind the scathing attack on the B&B website.
Elsewhere, when Lisa arrives home from work, she is immediately confronted by Belle's decision to plead guilty. Zak blames himself, but Lisa tells him that he couldn't have known what she was going to do. Can Lisa convince Belle to change her mind and not throw her life away?
Also today, Priya skips lunch but soon finds herself having to turn down a plate of food from Diane, who doesn't want to take no for an answer.
Finally, Harriet persists in her attempts to persuade Edna to rethink her winnings from the scratch card.
Friday
Eric puts his plan to woo Val into action, but his romantic lunch is soon scuppered by the appearance of Ian. Eric is upset to realise who Ian is and punches him hard when he becomes riled by his nonchalant attitude. Eric then finds solace in a few too many whiskies at The Woolpack.
At the same time, Val confirms her HIV status and failing marriage to Ian, and is taken aback when he suggests that the two of them should give it a go. Will a lonely Val agree?
Meanwhile, thanks to Pete, the charges against Debbie are dropped. Relieved, she finds him at the pub and offers to buy him a drink in way of thanks. Surprised by Debbie's public display of kindness he accepts, happy that she is still interested in him. An irked Ross walks in on the pair looking cosy.
Elsewhere, Priya's illness is still a hot topic. Alicia and Eric accidentally reveal her condition to Diane, who confronts her. Priya opens up about her anorexia and begs Diane to let her stay the night. She is keen to stay away from the prying eyes of her family, but has Diane let herself in for more than she can handle?
How on earth would belle be charged with murder?
Unless she confessed to hitting Gemma across the head with a rock lol If she tells them she pushed her and she fell then the only charge would be manslaughter as there was no intent. Ludicrous the way these soaps have the police behave at times!
First time I've seen a soap solicitor actually try and help a client though. ? Usually they just sit there letting the person drop them selves right in the poo?
