Big Mac and Iain are held hostage by an angry ex-soldier.

Meanwhile, Charlie must learn the identity of a patient so the team can race to save her son.

Casualty's Big Mac is left with some nasty injuries as he gets caught in the middle of Iain Dean's troubles with his old army friend Kenny Archer.

This week's episode sees Kenny remain desperate for a showdown with Iain (Michael Stevenson), wrongly believing that the paramedic has betrayed him by having an affair with his wife Beth.

Confronting Big Mac (Charles Dale) at the ambulance station, Kenny demands to know where Iain is. When Big Mac is uncooperative, he finds himself in a scuffle with Kenny, before tripping and hitting his head.

Big Mac is in a bad way by the time Iain arrives on the scene, but Kenny (James Wallwork) makes matters much worse by blockading the door and refusing to let either of them leave.

Armed with a weapon, Kenny insists that he'll only let Big Mac go if Iain confesses to his supposed betrayal. With Big Mac in need of urgent medical attention, can Iain convince Kenny that he's done nothing wrong?
