Who attacks Dan?
Is Rachel and Archie do leave Jai might sack Ali and throw her out of his house
Monday
With Rachel AWOL, Sam refuses to accept that she has gone for good. However, Jai thinks Rachel's disappearance is a sign of her guilt and worries that she has gone off radar with Archie. Ali struggles to hold it together as people start demanding answers from her as Rachel's sister. Will the truth spill out?
Later, DS Reed admits to Sam that they have new evidence which cements Rachel's confession. Sam then comes to his own conclusion - that Declan has set Rachel up in order to get his insurance money. Debbie observes a heated exchange between Sam and Declan and grows suspicious of Charity and Declan's behaviour. Is Sam on to something, and will Debbie be the one to piece it together? One thing's for sure, Charity is suddenly unnerved…
Meanwhile, at a department store, Brenda is eyeing up MP3 players as sales assistant Neil appears, offering advice. She's quick to distract him as she slips the MP3 player in her bag. Flustered and panicking about getting caught, she rummages in her bag to pay for her batteries. When she returns to the café, Brenda seems pleased and shows no sign of guilt. But when Neil arrives at Connelton, Brenda panics. Has she been rumbled?
Elsewhere, Priya deflects attention from anyone spotting that she is not eating.
Also today, Rhona thinks Vanessa may be short of friends and later suggests that they should go out, but she manages to offend Vanessa in doing so.
Tuesday
At court, everyone is on tenterhooks waiting for Rachel to show her face. Cain squares up to Jai when he taunts Sam, and Sam remains convinced of Declan's involvement when Debbie explains that he and Charity have gone off on a 'business trip'. Debbie privately worries about what part her mum may have played in all of this.
With Rachel yet to arrive, Jai questions Ali on what she knows, and it's clear her blood is starting to boil. Finally with the defendant failing to show, a warrant for her arrest is issued. It seems all hell is set to break loose...
Meanwhile, Priya thinks she has a solution for Leyla on the job front and asks her dad to consider giving Leyla a job at the factory. He agrees to think about it. Alicia tries to make it clear to Leyla that she'd prefer her out of the village, but Leyla takes little notice as she receives news of an interview. At the factory interview, Leyla is thrown when Nicola suggests that Priya is using her to get back at David and storms out feeling used. But was that Priya's intention?
Elsewhere, Pollard remains glum as he considers his estranged relationship with Val and is sad at the thought of Diane going away.
Also today, Vanessa and Rhona seem to make peace and it looks like a night at a gay bar may be on the cards.
*No Wednesday Episode*
Thursday
Sam is beside himself with panic over where Rachel has gone and presses Cain to get him two fake passports so he can try to follow her. At the same time, Jai is fuming and calls a solicitor and also hires a private detective. He is determined to flush Rachel out somehow.
Soon Jai is given a shock to learn that he isn't on Archie's birth certificate. Ali takes the brunt of Jai's anger when he raids her work locker for evidence and then lets himself into her home to find clues. Ali returns home to two bombshells from Jai - not only is she sacked, he is evicting her too!
Meanwhile, Val and Pollard are frosty with each other. Pollard is hurt that she won't tell him what he's done wrong, whilst she is unable to tell him the truth. In the café, Diane suggests that she and Val should have a chat, but while she pops to the lavatory, Val is flummoxed to see Ian appear. She quickly ushers him out leaving her bag, which is clocked by Brenda. A furious Diane spots them leaving.
Outside, having dodged Pollard, Val is harangued by Ian. He's defiant that he is not leaving until she tells him what he wants to know. With Diane also on her back, will Val admit the truth?
Elsewhere, James and Peter are optimistic about a new tenant farm that is up for grabs, but they return frustrated from the appointment, disappointed as it was well out of their price range. They realise they are stuck living with Moira for longer, unless they can find cash fast. Later, while alone, Pete takes out a bag of pills from his bag. What is he planning?
Also, Harriet thinks she's got a date with Dom when he says Gemma is stuck with some homework, but Ashley suspects Harriet is heading for a fall.
Finally, Brenda is on a high after stealing Val's perfume from her handbag, while a frustrated David tries to talk to Alicia about getting Leyla to move out - but it's Leyla's first day at the factory.
The Spencers arrive home to see the house trashed. Ali storms out, determined to sort it once and for all. On Main Street, Ali overhears Megan say the insurance company have accepted Rachel was to blame for the fire.
At the same time, Jai pushes his private investigator to find Rachel, explaining that he will do whatever it takes to get his son back. Ali then storms in and confronts Jai. He reiterates that she is sacked and he wants the Spencers out of the house. Rishi thinks Jai has gone too far and tries to talk sense into him - surely Jai needs Ali close if he is trying to find Rachel? Will Jai revoke his decision?
Later, Ali finds herself telling Dan the truth about Rachel, but will she regret it?
Meanwhile, Leyla jumps at the chance to look after Jacob, but Alicia dreads telling her she has to move out. Jacob and Leyla agree to stay in and Leyla relishes spending time with her son. But is her happiness being around Jacob set to be short lived?
Elsewhere, a dolled-up Harriet heads to see Dom and Gemma with a bottle of wine to lubricate their evening together. Poor Harriet is soon shamefaced when she realises that she got the wrong end of the stick and it wasn't a date after all - Gemma did need help with her homework.
Also, Pollard has overslept, but Val explains it's fine as she has cancelled all the bookings. Later, she sits Pollard down and tells him about her holiday romance with Ian. He's shocked but admits he thinks they can get past it. Will Val tell him the real truth?
Finally, Vanessa is intrigued to think Pete is flirting with her, while Adam is determined to prove himself with Katie but struggles.
Friday
Ali makes Megan listen as she explains how Declan set Rachel up. Megan can't help but show a flicker of doubt, but she regains her composure and defends Declan. Ali is frustrated to realise that her outburst has got her nowhere and they leave. Megan is already on the phone to Declan, her faith in him unswerving as she lands Ali in it.
Later, Ali explains to Dan that telling Jai is their only option. As Dan waits for her outside Holdgate, two thugs climb out of their car and head towards him. They attack him and he crumples to the floor in agony...
Meanwhile, Eric appears looking awful as he is full of flu. Val panics, terrified that she may have caused it. Soon afterwards, Val enters the barn and clocks Pollard. After trying to wake him, she panics and begins CPR, thinking the worst. He gasps, bewildered as Val is filled with relief. Seeing Val's reaction, it's clear Pollard's going to milk his illness for everything he can.
Elsewhere, Katie assures Adam that she likes him but doesn't want to rush into anything.
Also today, after a visit to a gay bar, Vanessa admits that she is only attracted to one woman - Rhona - but is quick to assure her that she knows her limits.
Finally, Alicia and David are left worried about how to break the news to Jacob that they have asked Leyla to leave.
