Morgana O'Reilly has been announced as the latest cast member to join Neighbours.
http://johnsonlaird.com/assets/images/1417/1417_profile3_sm.jpg

The actress will be playing Naomi, the estranged daughter of Sheila Canning who returns unannounced for a family reunion.

"When I was offered the role, I reverted back to my teenage self and was jumping and squealing," O'Reilly said. "I was so excited."

She added of her character: "Naomi is a lot of fun. But she's hiding a lot of secrets.

"It's going to be interesting to see the lengths she'll go to in order to keep these hidden - particularly from her mother!"

O'Reilly is a new regular for Neighbours and began filming scenes on the soap last month. She will arrive on Australian screens in March.

Colette Mann, who plays Sheila, said at the time: "We are going to know more about Sheila's family soon. We are starting to bring in her family over the next six months, so you'll hear some stories about them.

"Hopefully there'll also be a male coming in - an older male. But both of them Sheila doesn't get along with, of course!"

Neighbours, which is currently on its winter break, airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 in the UK, and weekdays at 6.30pm on Eleven in Australia.

Neighbours newcomer Naomi Canning could test one of the show's established relationships when she joins Ramsay Street, Digital Spy can reveal.

Late last year, it was announced that actress Morgana O'Reilly has been cast in the role of Naomi, who is Sheila's estranged daughter.

Naomi will be a new minx for the long-running soap and will shake up life in Erinsborough with some controversial behaviour.

When Naomi arrives on the street, she already has a history of relationships with unavailable men.

Once she settles in, it quickly becomes clear that Naomi hasn't learned any lessons from her past mistakes when she sets her sights on a married guy who lives on the street.

Fans know that Brad Willis, Toadie Rebecchi, Matt Turner and Karl Kennedy are the possibilities from the show's regular cast.

Ryan Moloney, who plays Toadie, has previously teased that his character could be tempted by another woman this year - but fans will have to wait and see whether he is the guy in question.

Moloney said last month: "One of Toadie's strengths comes from his integrity and standing up for what is right. I think cheating is the last thing he would do, but what a fall from grace it would be if he ever did! Besides, Neighbours is a soap, after all, and things have got to stay interesting - so there might be a hint of an affair somewhere..."

Naomi arrives on screen in Australia later this month and will appear on Channel 5 in the UK from early April.

A Neighbours insider told Digital Spy: "The producers were keen to introduce an Izzy Hoyland-style character who would stir up life in the neighbourhood. Naomi has a lot of issues to work through with Sheila, but it'll be her attitude towards men and relationships that will really get people talking."

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 in the UK, and weekdays at 6.30pm on Eleven in Australia.

Neighbours' Sheila Canning will become suspicious of her daughter Naomi after she arrives unexpectedly.

As previously reported, Morgana O'Reilly has been cast in the role as Sheila's estranged daughter Naomi who will turn up in Ramsay Street hiding several secrets.

Sheila (Colette Mann) is delighted by Naomi's appearance and is desperate to repair their damaged relationship, but soon finds it increasingly difficult to stay out of her business, especially when she becomes concerned by her sudden interest in art dealers.

While confiding in Susan (Jackie Woodburne) over her doubts, Sheila reveals the reason why she believes Naomi hasn't contacted her in years - Naomi once had an affair with a married man and Sheila ended up contacting his wife.

Sheila later stumbles across Naomi's discarded sim card, but after she discovers her mum trying to reinstall the card to check up on her, Naomi is furious and accuses her mum of having learnt nothing from their previous fallout.

Desperate to make amends, Sheila later offers Naomi somewhere to stay until she gets her life back on track, to which she reluctantly agrees, but it is clear that Naomi is being far from honest with her mum.

It was previously reported that Naomi would test one of the show's established relationships after she sets her sights on another married man.

Neighbours introduces a newcomer who's bound to stir up trouble on UK screens next week as Sheila Canning's estranged daughter Naomi descends on Ramsay Street.

Naomi hasn't spoken to Sheila (Colette Mann) for five years, but she turns up in Erinsborough unexpectedly in the hope of reconciling with her mother.

The arrival of Naomi won't just shake up life for Sheila, as the Street's newest resident has a history of affairs with married men and doesn't appear to have learned from her past mistakes…

Digital Spy recently chatted to Morgana O'Reilly, who plays Naomi, to hear all the gossip on her character's storylines in her first in-depth interview since joining the show.

How's it going at Neighbours so far?
"It's been a blast! It's such a lovely community there at the studio. I get to be an actor every day! What more can I ask?"

What was the audition process like?
"There were two rounds of auditions. My husband filmed the first one in our backyard in Sydney with birds chirping in the background. Then I was flown to Melbourne for the second round at the studio, with Colette Mann and Stefan Dennis. I was up against five absolutely beautiful other girls!

"But there was something from the minute I got my first audition that made me feel deep down in my guts that this role was mine. For one, Naomi is my grandmother's name and my middle name. Also, strange little signs kept popping up, like when I called the taxi to take me to the airport for the second round of auditions. I asked the operator, 'Can I have a taxi to Rainford Street please?', to which he replied 'Ramsay Street?' I paused. 'Ummmm. No. Rainford Street!'

"After a week of waiting for the answer, I finally got the call from my agent. At first, I took the news quite calmly. But as the days went by, the more people I told, the more glasses were toasted and the more excited I got - until I was happy dancing all the way to Melbourne!"

How would you describe Naomi?
"Naomi likes the finer things in life. She's like a cat - if she had it her way, she would lie by a fire and be petted all day. She has a good heart, but sometimes the lengths she goes to in order to get what she wants are somewhat questionable. She can spin a situation to her benefit, but perhaps in the process dig herself into a hole, then have to fight like hell to get herself out.

"On top of all that, she is her mother's daughter. She has the Canning straight up, strength and vulgarity that her genes and upbringing have given her in spades. She's quirky but sophisticated, and at times petulant and silly. All in all, she is very, very fun to play."

Have you had much input into the character, or were you given quite a definitive brief from the producers?
"It was pretty clear to me from the start who Naomi was - the audition scripts were great. She is often playing a few different tactics at any given moment. But I've also really enjoyed finding the 'funny' in her personality.

"Naomi was quite hard to pin down in regards to the way she looks. She has to have a sense of sass and sexuality about her, but she's not cheap and she has worked very hard to shake off her trashy past. So costume, make-up, producers and I all played a role in finding the limits and boundaries of all the aspects of her personality in the way she dresses, wears her hair and does her nails.

"What we've come up with is amazing. Some days I put my costume on for a scene and think, 'Oh Naomi, you're outrageous! I could never wear this! Oh well. Go get 'em girl!'"

It certainly sounds like Naomi is going to shake things up! How are you feeling about playing a character who behaves in such an extreme way?
"It's the best! As an actor, it's so, so good exploring a character so different from yourself. To justify a person's actions and behaviour, without judgement, and have fun doing it is what it's all about."

Would you describe Naomi as a troublemaker, or is she a nice person deep down?
"Nomes isn't a bad person. She is empathetic and caring, but she's impulsive, reactive and a bit spoilt. She must get her way, no matter what. So as you can imagine, this doesn't make for a very calm life. Trouble follows her around like a sycophantic puppy!"

Do you think the fans will like Naomi, or will she be a character we love to hate?
"You know, I don't know! I really can't wait to find out! It could go either way. She could definitely be the character everyone loves to hate, or maybe people will see that she's a good girl on the inside and root for her to find happiness. You'll have to tell me…"

Why has Naomi got herself involved with married men? Does she enjoy the drama of messy relationships, or has she genuinely fallen for the guys in question?
"Unfortunately, I think she has genuinely fallen in love with these guys. But like I said, she's spoilt and she doesn't back down from something she wants, so she fights for it. But she also associates 'the good life' as things unattainable. Maybe that adds to the appeal of an unavailable man."

Naomi's first scenes see her meet Paul Robinson at Charlie's. You must have been pleased that your first scenes were with the show's longest-running character!
"Yes! Stefan is so much fun to work with. Sometimes I'd be sitting across from him waiting for 'action' and I'd have a flash of perspective on the situation. Little old me all dolled up as Naomi, sitting across the table from one of the most famous stars of Australian telly! How did this happen? He also gave me a bunch of tips on how to order my scripts and schedule when I started, which I'm still using! What a guy!"

We know that Naomi has a strained relationship with Sheila. What is the reason for their five-year feud?
"I don't want to give away too much. But it has something to do with the fact that Naomi was involved with a married man and Sheila couldn't keep her nose out of it. Like most family feuds, they're both to blame in different ways, as well as being too much alike to deal with it sensibly.

"But they've both genuinely missed each other over the last five years - as much as they'd hate to admit it. It'll do them good to be back in each other's lives."

What has Colette Mann been like to work with?
"I. Love. Colette. Mann. That is all!"

Not long after her arrival, Naomi starts working for Toadie and seems to have him in her sights! Could she cause problems for him and Sonya?
"Naomi's taste in men is pretty predictable - she likes money, nice clothes and good food to come hand-in-hand with her relationships. But she finds something in Toadie that she hasn't found in a man before. He is a decent, lovely, caring man who makes her laugh. As we know, this is lady kryptonite. And remember, when Naomi wants something, she goes for it. You'll have to watch and see how it plays out!"

The official promo featuring your arrival warns that the locals should lock up their husbands. Would you be nervous of the reaction if Naomi broke up one of the show's much-loved couples?
"Yeah. That's a wee bit scary. As I said, I'm unsure how the fans will respond to Naomi. I can only hope they will feel for her and have hope she finds her happiness without actually hurting anyone in the end. And as for me, I can only hope that no-one's too mean to me! Please be kind! I'm a nice girl really. Promise."

The description of Naomi is reminding us a little bit of Izzy Hoyland. Can you see her making lots of enemies in the same way Izzy did?
"Hmmmm. I'm not sure - I wasn't watching Neighbours when Izzy was on. But I think Naomi could definitely make some enemies on Ramsay Street if she's not careful…"

Naomi's nephew Kyle heads away on an extended trip shortly after her arrival. Are you sad that you haven't had a chance to work much with Chris Milligan?
"I love working with Chris! It was a shame I only had a short stint with him before he went away, but he's back on set again now and us Cannings are having good times."

James Mason recently told us that the producers are lining up a friendship between Naomi and Chris Pappas. Is this something you're looking forward to?
"It's going to be so nice for Naomi to have a friend! Someone she isn't trying to pash! And Naomi loves men, so Chris Pappas is perfect! I hope Naomi will take him out dancing. Is there a nightclub in Erinsborough?"

Who have you made friends with on set?
"You've got to know, everyone on set is wonderful! The cast and crew operating everything in front and behind the scenes are such good people! I feel I have inherited 100 new friends in my first three months. Truly - I spend most of the day laughing."

Neighbours' new producer Jason Herbison seems to have big plans for the show. Is it an exciting time to be joining?
"There is a real buzz out there on Ramsay Street at the moment. The storylines are juicy and the actors are great. Jason is a hugely passionate force behind Neighbours. He has great energy and ideas for the future, but he's also just a Neighbours fan himself, so he know what the viewers want to see and who they want to see again, because he wants to see it too!"

How much have the producers told you about their long-term plans for Naomi?
"I know a little of where she's headed, and from what I know it's pretty great. She'll get people talking, that's for sure. I hope you enjoy the ride!"

Neighbours minx Naomi Canning looks set to stir up more scandal on Ramsay Street as she embarks on a fling with Josh Willis.

Naomi (Morgana O'Reilly) sets her sights on the teenager as she tries to come to terms with the fact that Toadie Rebecchi isn't interested in her.

Josh (Harley Bonner) is also on the rebound as his ego is left battered once he discovers that Amber Turner has been cheating on him with Daniel Robinson.

Viewers will see Naomi get to know Josh when she starts working at a homeware store and ropes in the former swimmer to help her by doing some lifting.

There is immediate chemistry between the unlikely pair, but it's not until they end up stuck in an elevator together that they give into temptation by making the most of their time alone.

After sleeping with Josh for the first time, Naomi is later plagued with guilt when his mother Terese confides in her about how vulnerable he is after splitting from Amber.

Realising that she shouldn't take advantage of Josh's emotional state, Naomi calls a halt to their fling - but it's not long before she turns back to him for some comfort.

A Neighbours source told Digital Spy: "Naomi ends up being rehired to work for Toadie, which brings her feelings back to the fore. Knowing that she can't have Toadie, Naomi goes back to Josh for an ego boost and their secret relationship is back on."

Escaping temptation
Naomi and Toadie take drastic measures to avoid their respective passions.

Toadie's principled reasons for taking on a particullarly confronting law case only serve to fuel Naomi's desire for him and when Sheila assassinates his character, Naomi shouts at her mother that she's still in love with him.

With her passion revealed, on this week's Neighbours, a shaken Naomi regretfully quits the law firm, thus sparking a tirade of abuse from Sonya, who finds it hard maintaining her always-tenuous faith in her husband's now ex-employee. Rather than hit back at her love rival, Naomi bus into Sheila's desperate distraction techniques.

As Naomi temporarily leaves Erinsborough to re-establish her equilibrium, Toadie is facing another crisis on the domestic front. Shocked to discover Nell is in control of the household iPad, with Sonya's permission, Toadie takes umbrage with his wife's choice to use the computer hardware as a digital babysitter.

As they clash over how much time Nell can spend on the tablet, the Rebecchis finally decide there's only one way to fix the problem - they'll have to undergo a 24-hour digital detox!

Festival fears
The Erinsborough Festival is threatened when event organiser Naomi endures bribery and death threats.

Naomi's career as an events manager is blossoming at every turn, finally giving her the long-awaited hope that she'll ultimately be considered a valuable and respectable member of the Erinsborough community.

As Naomi (Morgana O'Reilly) forges full steam ahead with transforming her idea for an Erinsborough cultural festival into a reality, she's dealt a harsh blow upon discovering that the always publicity-hungry Paul (Stefan Dennis) has snatched the plans out from under her to run the event himself.

When Paul laughs of her offer to be the even manager, denigrating the position as nothing more than a glorified secretary, Naomi pulls out all the stops and is sson thrilled when a won-over Paul gives her the job.

As Naomi celebrates her fortunes with Brennan (Scott McGregor), he's quick to warn her of the pitfalls of such a powerful position and quietly despairs as Naomi good-naturedly ignores his advice, explaining that she's won over tougher men than Paul in the past.

However, she's soon tasked with proving that point when Paul successfully encourages Erinsborough newcomer and wealthy businessman Dennis Dimato (David Serafin) to sponsor the festival. As Naomi prepares to wow Dennis, an uncomfortable Brennan registers Dimato as a name he remembers from his detective days and armed with police confirmation that Dennis is definitely dodgy, quickly warns Naomi.

Sufficiently rattled by Brennan's information, Naomi reports back to Paul, suggesting that they reject Dimato's sponsorship offer to avoid negative press. When Paul supports the move, Dimato is outraged and angrily vows not to be shut out of the festival.

A fortuitous conversation with a proud Sheila (Colette Mann) leaves Dennis with the impression that Naomi has substantial sway over Paul and gives him the impetus to privately offer Naomi a hefty bribe to convince Paul to reinstate the sponsorship.

Against her better judgement, Naomi takes the cash but a consultation with a worried Brennan prompts her to return the cash. Nevertheless, Brennan is unhappy with the inherent danger she's put herself in and becoming riled, confronts Dimato, ordering him to give Naomi a wide berth.

Accosting Naomi soon after, Dennis makes it very clear that she'll pay for spreading news of his criminal act!

Channelling her fear into an attack on Brennan for making things worse, Naomi insists on handling the situation but Brennan can't trust that Naomi has the skills to thwart Dennis' threats and behind her back approaches Dennis' cook Phil Lloyd (Colin Masters) at Grease Monkeys and interrogates him for information about Dennis' criminal exploits, unaware that the conversation is being spied on.

To make matters worse, Paul reduces Naomi's festival duties given her "compromised" position and Phil is sacked soon after speaking with Brennan.

Finally accepting that she's buried herself in a deep and dangerous hole, Naomi helps the poilce build a case against Dimato despite increasing threats of retaliation from him.

When Naomi won't back down, Dimato zeros in on a more vulnerable target, a recovering Sheila, making it clear that her mother will be a dead woman if Naomi doesn't stop gunning for him.

Also ahead on Ramsay Street, Naomi Canning also finds herself in trouble when she gets on the wrong side of dodgy businessman Dennis Dimato.

As Naomi (Morgana O'Reilly) prepares a press conference to launch the Erinsborough Festival, Paul is approached by Dimato, who has recently inherited some properties in the area.

Dimato reveals to Paul that he wants to meet the main business people in Erinsborough and, sensing an opportunity, Paul suggest he sponsor the festival.

Although Dimato agrees, Brennan becomes suspicious after remembering his name and rings an old friend at the police department to enquire about him. Realising he has a dodgy reputation, Brennan warns Naomi, who then relays this back to Paul, suggesting they turn down Dimato's offer of sponsorship in order to avoid any negative press.

Putting his new plan into action, Dimato offers Naomi a consultancy fee to put in a good word with the Mayor but when Brennan learns about Dimato's bribe, he urges Naomi to go to the police.

Not wanting to cause a drama, Naomi faces Dimato and hands back his money, insisting that she hasn't told anyone about it. However, the situation starts to get out of hand when Brennan decides to intervene and confront Dimato.

Although she tries to keep things more professional in the aftermath, Naomi finds it increasingly difficult to switch off her feelings.

When Mark is later struck down with flu and appears to be making a meal of his illness, Naomi is quick to realise how this compares unfavourably to the brave way Paul has been dealing with his diagnosis.

Taking this as a sign that she is with the wrong man, Naomi shocks Mark by breaking things off with him - leaving fans to wonder whether he will accept her decision or fight to win her back.

Neighbours airs these scenes next week on Eleven in Australia and in May on Channel 5 in the UK.

Neighbours policeman Mark Brennan will be left stunned when Naomi Canning suddenly breaks up with him in an upcoming storyline.

Naomi (Morgana O'Reilly) makes the drastic decision as she is starting to develop feelings for Paul Robinson after being hired as his executive assistant.

I really like Naomi with Mark but have always thought she had great chemistry with Paul and I expected them to start a relationship when she first arrived. I wouldn't be averse to her truly falling in love with Paul (as long as it's reciprocated) as I think they'd make a very entertaining couple.

As much as I liked the Naomi/Mark pairing.....I really like the thought of a Naomi/Paul paring so much more.
A lot of Pauls girlfriends/wives always seemed a bit wishy washy (especially wife #2 Gayle) to me after a while. But I really think Naomi could be a match for Paul both in bed and out of it

Also ahead on Ramsay Street, Naomi Canning will risk her relationship with Mark Brennan when she impulsively kisses Paul Robinson.

With Paul (Stefan Dennis) struggling following his leukemia diagnosis, Naomi (Morgana O'Reilly) witnesses his increasing vulnerability as he faces up to a lifetime of regret regarding his children.

Naomi makes a move on Paul

Naomi does her best to keep Paul's spirits up, and mentions that Nick is confident that he can cure Paul of his leukaemia now that the cancer research centre is going to be a reality.

Despite Naomi's best efforts, Paul makes it clear that he doesn't want her pity, and Naomi is quick to assure him that she doesn't feel that way about him.

However, Paul is left to ponder what she does really feel when Naomi acts on an impulse and kisses him. What does this mean for her and Brennan?

Neighbours star Morgana O'Reilly has given birth to a baby girl.

The actress, who plays Naomi Canning in the Australian soap, announced earlier in the year that she was expecting her first child with husband Peter Salmon.

Colette Mann, who plays Naomi's on-screen mum Sheila, took to Twitter today (August 25) to announce O'Reilly's happy news.

She said: "My beautiful pretend daughter @morganaoreilly delivered a fab baby girl today in Oz at 2.30 on August 25."

O'Reilly showed off her growing baby bump in a fun on-set picture last month, admitting that she had to find novel ways to hide her bump on screen.

"I'm really excited! Hiding the bump has been interesting," she said. "Have you seen my skills with a folder and a strategically placed pot plant? Keep watching!"

Neighbours' Naomi Canning waves goodbye to Ramsay Street later this month following the breakdown of her relationship with Paul Robinson.

Naomi recently left Paul heartbroken after she betrayed him by having a one-night stand with her former flame Josh Willis.

Having taken some time away from Erinsborough, upcoming episodes will see Naomi arrive back with a new lease of life and full of hope for her future.

Naomi departs for a new life in America

After applying for her dream job in America, Naomi sets about making a series of changes, including her decision to break off her engagement to Paul once and for all.

Although Paul is clearly keen to work through their differences, Naomi gently tells him that she believes they are simply not right for each other.

When a heartbroken Paul reacts by declaring that she will never amount to anything without him, Naomi's confidence is left in tatters and she ponders giving up her efforts at getting the job in America.

However, after some words of advice from Sheila, Naomi has a successful interview and later learns that she needs to leave for Los Angeles the following day.

Naomi then says an emotional farewell to her family and friends and heads out of Ramsay Street in a limo, but will Paul get over his heartbreak?

Morgana O'Reilly has played Naomi since 2014 and recently welcomed a baby girl with her husband Peter Salmon.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Friday, October 16 on at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Popular Neighbours star Morgana O'Reilly has left the show permanently, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal.

The actress's character Naomi Canning departed screens in Australia yesterday, heading off to the US for a new job after her relationship with Paul Robinson ended bitterly.

O'Reilly welcomed the arrival of a baby girl with her husband Peter Salmon in August and fans had assumed that she was on maternity leave.

However, Digital Spy can exclusively confirm that Naomi's exit is actually a permanent one as O'Reilly is hoping to pursue new acting projects.

Show bosses left the door open with Naomi's final storyline in the hope that O'Reilly could return at some point in the future.

Naomi says her goodbyes

Neighbours' series producer Jason Herbison told Digital Spy: "The Neighbours audience fell in love with Naomi instantly and we have certainly left the door wide open for her to rejoin the Cannings in the future - Sheila wouldn't have it any other way.

"In the meantime we wish Morgana all the best with motherhood and her other endeavours - she is an incredible talent."

O'Reilly was cast as Sheila's estranged daughter in late 2013 and made her first appearance on the show in March 2014.

Naomi and Paul

Naomi quickly caused a stir on the Street as she fell for Toadie Rebecchi and made a play for him, jeopardising his marriage to Sonya even though he didn't respond to her advances.

After brief romances with Josh Willis and Mark Brennan, Naomi later developed feelings for Paul while working as his executive assistant - but their rocky relationship was ultimately doomed to fail.

Neighbours fans in the UK will see Naomi's departure on Friday, October 16 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Paul is WAY better with a love interest than single as a woman in his life means he won't be all evil, Naomi managed to get Paul's good side out in the open! Paul's just looking for his Mrs. Right and not his Mrs. Right Now. I do hope he and Terese will get together.

Agreed Paul's a better person with a love interest you can tell that he loves as with Rebecca & Naomi he's in a good place it's when things fall apart his bad side re emerges or his desperation to manipulate them into staying or forgiving him when he crosses a line. I'm saddened by Naomi not coming back but would welcome Rebecca returning should that happen. I love the friendship Paul has with Terese I love how they can call the other out on their bad behaviour but hope they don't ruin it by coupling them up for the sake of it

Neighbours could be introducing more members of Sheila Canning's family following the shock departure of her daughter Naomi.

Colette Mann, who plays Sheila, revealed the news on Twitter after fans questioned what the future holds for her popular character.

Naomi left screens in Australia last week and Digital Spy later exclusively revealed that it was a permanent exit as actress Morgana O'Reilly wants to concentrate on other projects.

Some viewers wondered what this meant for Sheila, especially following rumours that her grandson Kyle will also be bowing out in the near future.

Asked whether she is staying on Neighbours, Mann replied: "Yep at least for the time being. Some more Cannings to emerge soon. Sheila was clearly busy birthing."

O'Reilly joined Neighbours in late 2013 and finished filming a few months ago. She welcomed the arrival of a baby girl with her husband Peter Salmon in August.

Quizzed on what her future plans are, O'Reilly told Neighbours' official website: "Hang out with my baby for a bit and keep searching for other cool characters to play and create. Maybe do some writing and keep trying to have an international career so we'll see!"

Neighbours' UK fans will see Naomi's exit on Friday, October 16 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Brad was extremely manipulative the way he kept convincing Terese the attraction between himself and Lauren was her imagination and the breakdown of their marriage completely her fault. She's no angel but neither is he.

Paul's a different case because some of his past manipulations of partners have been downright malicious. Despite liking Naomi I always felt uncomfortable with the way she interfered in Paul's family (contacting Amy for example). The outcome was good but he specifically asked her not to interfere several times. I don't think I could trust someone who repeatedly went behind my back like that.

Neighbours confirms return for Naomi Canning as Morgana O'Reilly reprises the role
Sheila will get a welcome visitor.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a32285884/neighbours-spoilers-naomi-canning-return-morgana-oreilly/

Neighbours has confirmed that Morgana O'Reilly will be reprising her role as Naomi Canning.

Naomi will make an unexpected return to Ramsay Street to support her mother Sheila (Colette Mann) following Gary's shock death, as reported by TV Week magazine in Australia.

Naomi soon figures out that a large source of Sheila's problems are related to her mother's current fallout out with Susan Kennedy, which started when Sheila blamed Susan for her son's death at the hands of Finn Kelly.

Spoilers suggest that Naomi may be the one to heal the rift between Sheila and Susan and act as "peacekeeper".

Morgana first appeared on screens as Naomi in March 2014. Her original final scenes aired in October 2015, when Naomi departed for America after being offered a dream job.

"The Neighbours audience fell in love with Naomi instantly and we have certainly left the door wide open for her to rejoin the Cannings in the future. Sheila wouldn't have it any other way," executive producer Jason Herbison told Digital Spy at the time of Morgana's exit.

Meanwhile, Sheila's grandson Kyle is getting a new love interest as – in scenes which aired in Australia last week – he meets newcomer Jessica Quince during a grief support group.

Neighbours currently airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Naomi Canning to take drastic action after return to Erinsborough
Will this help poor Sheila?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a32311328/neighbours-spoilers-naomi-canning-return-sheila-susan/

Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.

Naomi Canning's surprise return to Erinsborough will see her take drastic action to help out her unstable mum Sheila.

As first revealed by TV Soap in Australia, those around Sheila come to the conclusion that her concerning behaviour following the death of her son Gary – the latest of which sees her believe he has been reincarnated as a pigeon – can no longer continue, and call on Naomi to help her see sense.

While relentlessly defending her actions, it becomes clear to Naomi that her mum's issues actually stem from her anger towards Susan Kennedy for bringing killer Finn Kelly back into everyone's lives.

In a desperate attempt to put an end to their feud, Naomi will lock up Sheila and Susan together after inviting them to a private meeting.

Refusing to let them out until they've settled their differences, Naomi's return to Erinsborough could prove to be the perfect medicine for Sheila's woes.

Back in 2015 after actress Morgana O'Reilly's initial exit, Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison teased her possible return as Naomi.

"The Neighbours audience fell in love with Naomi instantly and we have certainly left the door wide open for her to rejoin the Cannings in the future. Sheila wouldn't have it any other way."

Her moment has come.

Neighbours currently airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours trailer teases Naomi Canning's return storyline
Will her plan help Sheila?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a32400516/neighbours-spoilers-naomi-canning-trailer/

Neighbours has released a new promo for Naomi Canning's return storyline.

Fan favourite Morgana O'Reilly has reprised her role as Naomi, nearly five years after her last appearance in the show.

Scenes airing in Australia this week have already featured Naomi's comeback, which comes following the recent death of her brother Gary.

With Sheila struggling following Gary's death and starting to behave erratically, Kyle calls Naomi in the hope that she might be able to help.

As seen in Neighbours' trailer, Naomi soon decides that Sheila's anger towards her former friend Susan Kennedy isn't helping matters.

Taking the situation into her own hands, Naomi forms a plan to lock Sheila and Susan up in the same room together, hoping that they'll finally settle their differences.

Sheila has bitterly blamed Susan for Gary's death, believing that she put everyone in danger by giving Finn Kelly another chance after his amnesia.

Susan has already made heartfelt apologies to Sheila, but hasn't made any progress with repairing their friendship. Could Naomi's plan help matters or make things worse?

Morgana played the role of Naomi as a show regular in 2014 and 2015.

News of her return was revealed late last month. Channel 5 viewers in the UK will see her comeback in three weeks' time.

Neighbours currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Naomi Canning to face suspicion over her past with Pierce Greyson
Will it drive a wedge between her and new pal Chloe Brennan?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a32434798/neighbours-naomi-canning-pierce-greyson-past/

Neighbours' Naomi Canning may have only returned to Erinsborough on Australian screens recently, but she's already gearing up to create quite the stir when she reveals her romantic past with Chloe Brennan's husband Pierce Greyson.

According to TV Soap Magazine, after agreeing to help Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) with her ever-growing list of tasks to do at Lassiter Hotel, Naomi (Morgana O'Reilly) can't believe it when she lays eyes on Pierce (Tim Robards) for the first time in years.

Excited, she explains their history to nephew Kyle (Chris Milligan), recalling the palpable chemistry between them and how Pierce was keen to start up a relationship with her at the time despite her protestations. Now, she can't help but wonder what would have happened if they'd have given it a go.

Disaster almost strikes when Naomi goes out for after-work drinks with Chloe and almost lets slip about her attraction.

Fortunately though, the latter confirms that she's married to the object of her affection before she can make the awkward confession. But not giving into her old habits and pursuing him proves hard, so she orchestrates a plan to channel all of their work interactions through Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis).

However, that comes with its own set of problems, when Paul's wife Teresa (Rebekah Elmaloglou) starts getting uncomfortable with how close Naomi and her spouse are becoming.

Why? Well, because they used to be engaged. And when Pierce tries to zap the tension, Naomi mistakes it for him being jealous!

Things escalate when Naomi gives Pierce an intimate massage, forcing her to admit her lingering feelings.

Elsewhere, Paul notices the former couple rekindling their spark and sensing a way to screw with Pierce, he tells all to Chloe. Will the new friends ever learn to fully trust one another again?

Neighbours airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK). It also airs on weekdays in Australia, at 6.30pm on 10 Peach.

Suppose it'll lead to Chloe and Pierce having a crisis as they didn't once speak to each other about what they want ("I thought you wanted to" "oh I thought you wanted to.." urgh). Hoped it would turn out that they outwit Paul, somehow, and make him look silly for trying to create a division.. but no..
