Hollyoaks fans can expect more dramatic stunt scenes in January as one character faces terrible danger when the village's council flats are demolished.

Grace Black (Tamara Wall) is at the centre of the shock storyline as she targets someone close to Freddie Roscoe in order to force him into doing her bidding.


Ruthless Grace wants Freddie (Charlie Clapham) to murder Mercedes Browning on her behalf, so she tells him that she has locked away somebody he loves.

Grace warns that she will kill the mystery individual if Freddie doesn't follow her instructions, but she refuses to reveal their identity or where they are.

Backed into a corner, a horrified Freddie is forced to seriously consider following Grace's sinister instructions - fearing that the lives of Sinead O'Connor (Stephanie Davis) or Lindsey Butterfield (Sophie Austin) could depend on it.

While we can't reveal whether Freddie does kill Mercedes, he later receives another terrible shock as Grace tells him that his loved one is in the abandoned flats - and time is running out as it's the day of their demolition.

As our pictures show, the destruction of the building soon goes ahead as planned as a wrecking ball and a digger tear through it - but fans will have to tune in to see whether Freddie has rescued his loved one in time.

A Hollyoaks insider told Digital Spy: "It's going to be a race against time for Freddie to save the mystery character, but will he kill Mercedes to get the information he needs from Grace? And once Grace tells him everything, will his efforts be too late?"

Regular viewers will know that the council flats have been abandoned since October, when they were rocked by a huge explosion which claimed the lives of Doug Carter, Ash Kane and Leanne Holiday.

Hollyoaks airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, January 13 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Monday, January 13

As Fraser learns of Trevor's betrayal, will Grace lose the love of her life for ever? A devastated Sinead sees Freddie cosying up to someone he shouldn't, while John Paul tries to brave school after his malicious attack.

Tuesday, January 14

Sinead discovers the truth about Freddie's secrecy. Under pressure from Grace, will Jim reveal Freddie's treachery? Jason is shocked to know the details of his brother's betrayal.

Wednesday, January 15

It's Sinead and Freddie's wedding, but as secrets are revealed, will the marriage go ahead? Grace blackmails an unlikely source to carry out a deadly deed. Will Lindsey admit the truth about her darkest secret? Dodger is forced to ask Darren a difficult question.

Thursday, January 16

Desperate Freddie frantically searches for a missing loved one. Will Nancy summon the courage to face her demons? Mercedes is led into the lion's den, with devastating consequences.

Friday, January 17

Darren attempts to rekindle his relationship with Nancy. Freddie is torn between his head and his heart. Grace is determined to bring down anyone who gets in her way, while Fraser gives Freddie a hefty ultimatum.

Meanwhile, Hollyoaks' Sinead O'Connor hopes for a fresh start as her wedding day arrives later this month.

Sinead (Stephanie Davis) wears an eye-catching red gown as she turns up for the ceremony, which has been funded by her fiancé Freddie Roscoe's new father-in-law Fraser Black.

While no expense has been spared for the wedding, there's no guarantee of a happy day for Sinead as she has made a big mistake in the build-up to the ceremony.

As we've previously reported, Sinead spends the night with Freddie's younger brother Robbie when she wrongly assumes that her partner is cheating on her with Lindsey Butterfield.

Gossip about Sinead's mistake soon spreads through the Roscoe clan and makes its way to Freddie. Afterwards, Sinead is hopeful that Freddie can forgive her and the wedding will go ahead - but will he still want to go through with it?

Hollyoaks' Lindsey Butterfield finally comes clean with fiancé Joe Roscoe about her involvement in Browning's death next week.

Lindsey decides that it is time to be honest about the part she played last year in trying to keep Browning's murder under wraps.

However, Joe (Ayden Callaghan), is angry that Lindsey told his brother Freddie (Charlie Clapham) before him and ends up storming off. Will he be able to forgive her?

Elsewhere in the Roscoes', Freddie is considering knocking down Mercedes McQueen, following Grace Black's continuous threats.

Grace tells him she's got someone he loves locked away, and if he doesn't kill Mercedes, she will kill them. When Freddie realises that both Lindsey and Sinead are missing, he becomes increasingly desperate.

It was previously reported that Grace will tell Freddie the person in question is being held at the abandoned flats, which are due to be demolished.
