View Full Version : EastEnders Spoilers Week 3 (13th - 17th January 2014)
Over on EastEnders, Shabnam Masood's return to Walford will come as a pleasant surprise to her brother Tamwar.
In the New Year, Masood (Nitin Ganatra) takes a trip to Pakistan following the sudden death of his mother and when he arrives back home, he has brought Shabnam with him.
While Tamwar (Himesh Patel) is delighted to see Shabnam back, her return will cause some tension as she doesn't approve of Masood's new relationship with Carol Jackson and isn't shy over expressing her views.
As announced earlier this month, Rakhee Thakrar has taken over the role of Shabnam and there's plenty of drama in store as the character is hiding a "terrible secret" upon her return.

EastEnders' Carol Jackson receives bad news later this month as doctors confirm that she does have cancer.
Viewers know that Carol (Lindsey Coulson) underwent tests just before Christmas as she had found a lump in her breast.
When Carol collects her results from the hospital in an upcoming episode, she receives the news she'd been fearing and is diagnosed with breast cancer.
Although a fearful Carol initially keeps the diagnosis to herself, she soon realises that she needs support from her loved ones.
As Carol confides in her daughter Bianca (Patsy Palmer) and on-off lover David Wicks (Michael French), it's an emotional moment for all of them as they try to come to terms with what lies ahead…

Speaking at the time, she commented: "After seven years being out of the show, apart from the odd episode, I am extremely excited and honoured to be making a full-time return.
"I feel so lucky as an actress to get back to my roots. With Dominic [Treadwell-Collins] as executive producer, it's such an exciting time for the show. I cannot wait to work with Patsy and Lindsey again. Bring it on!"

When David finds out that Carol has missed her latest medical appointment, he tricks her into going to the hospital with him. Once she realises what David is up to, Carol insists that she wants to collect her results alone, but when she does, she receives the bad news that she does have breast cancer. Afterwards, Carol lies to David by claiming that her health scare was a false alarm.
Later, Carol tells David the truth and also finally confides in Bianca about her illness. As Carol reveals that the cancer could have spread, can she and her loved ones come to terms with what lies ahead?

Shabnam arrives back in Walford.
Meanwhile, when Masood arrives back from Pakistan following his mother's funeral, he has a surprise for Tamwar as he has brought Shabnam back with him. Still unaware of Carol's health problems, Masood engineers a meeting between her and Shabnam - but it's clear that Shabnam disapproves of her father's new romance.
Elsewhere, Sharon realises that she wants her relationship with Phil to be different this time round, so she warns him that they need to tell each other everything from now on. Later, Sharon comes across Carl's bloodied phone while searching for a plate. How will Phil explain himself when Sharon confronts him?
Also today, will Alfie be able to resist when Shirley offers him some shady work?
Tuesday
It's the day of the memorial service for Masood's mother, and Masood asks Carol to attend as he needs her support. However, Shabnam doesn't think that Carol should be there and she is unable to keep her feelings to herself. Shabnam's outburst makes Carol realise that she can't keep up the pretence any longer, so she breaks up with Masood.
Tension rises in the fallout from Carol's decision as David implies to Masood that he and Carol are back together. Unhappy, Carol storms off from the Square and turns up on an unfamiliar doorstep. When Carol knocks on the door, it's Sonia who answers…
Meanwhile, Sharon is frustrated as Phil still isn't being honest with her following her discovery of the phone. Sharon insists that she can't have a relationship with Phil if she doesn't trust him, but will Phil be willing to admit to all of his past misdemeanours following her ultimatum?
Elsewhere, Alfie's new business plan isn't working and when Shirley takes pity on him, Mick ends up buying Alfie's stock. Alfie is thrilled, but how will Kat feel about his future plans?

Later, Carol considers staying at Sonia's for a couple of days to get her head straight and keep away from David. Sonia suggests that Carol should do what makes her happy in life, but what is that?
Meanwhile, Masood is hurting following his break-up from Carol and Shabnam's harsh comments. When Shabnam refuses to allow Fatboy to have any alcohol at the dinner table, Masood finally loses his temper after being ordered around by his daughter and he takes action. Shabnam is horrified at her dad's behaviour and when she leaves for her aunt's house, Tamwar decides to go with her.
Elsewhere, David offers Max £100,000 in order to buy the car lot. When Max refuses the offer, David loses his temper and keys one of the cars.
Also today, Phil knows he has to prove his commitment to Sharon, but how much will he reveal and will they get through it?
Thursday
Max fires David after finding the damage to the car, but David soon shows a softer side by apologising and telling Max about Carol's cancer. David explains that the reason he wants to buy into the car lot is to provide for Carol. Touched by David's honesty, Max agrees to let him into the business.
Later, Max goes to see Carol to show his support - but Carol is distracted as she has just spotted a positive pregnancy test in the bin. Who could it belong to?

Once the night gets under way, a rebellious Masood decides to gamble some of Tamwar's university fund after running out of his own cash. Later, Fatboy argues with Masood over his behaviour, but then Tamwar returns home unexpectedly.

Meanwhile, Carol tries to discover who the mysterious pregnancy test belongs to, leading her to jump to various conclusions.
Elsewhere, Linda isn't happy when she finds out that Sharon is planning to open a bar on the Square. The Carters are also concerned to discover that The Vic has a huge damp problem, which Phil hid from them when he sold the pub. Phil refuses to help out with the cost of repair, but Mick has a plan.
Also today, as Alfie now has the money for his trip after beating Masood in the poker game, he says his goodbyes to Kat and Tommy before setting off. Alfie also surprises Kat by leaving her with a parting gift and a new business plan.
Finally, Fatboy is worried about Masood's erratic behaviour and soon gets on the wrong side of him, while David infuriates Max by revamping the car lot office and changing the name to 'Deals on Wheels'.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday, January 16 and Friday, January 17 on BBC One.
The suspects for this pregnancy test are apparently Bianca, Whitney, Lauren and Lola.
I thought it would turn out to be Lauren seeing as they haven't been caught yet even with Max knowing, but with all the surprises in EE lately, I'm thinking too obvious as it's been hinted in a few mags.

I'm not trying to be funny, but they not heard of house surveys. That would have brought up any problems like that.

They didn't do a survey did they? Mick Carter just handed Phil a suitcase full of cash (as you do) and that was it. No surveys, no land registry, no solicitors, no local searches. Nothing! You have to remember that Walford is not actually in the United Kingdom; it is in some strange fantasy land where normal things just don't happen.

Why do people actually expect soapland to be governed by the laws of the real world?

Don't shoot the messenger, Gloria.
EastEnders' Sharon Rickman is left doubting her future with Phil Mitchell once again this evening (January 13).
Tonight's episode sees Sharon (Letitia Dean) start the day feeling optimistic about her recent reunion with Phil, admitting to new friend Linda Carter that she'd even consider marrying him in the future.
Sharon soon decides to cook a romantic meal for Phil (Steve McFadden) and the night goes well, but when Sharon is about to serve dessert, she stumbles across Carl White's bloodied phone stashed away in a kitchen drawer.
Heading back into the living room, Sharon demands an explanation from a shocked Phil. Will he tell her about Ronnie getting rid of Carl?
