Coronation Street barmaid Tina McIntyre tries to make a clean break from Peter Barlow by leaving Weatherfield early next month.
Tina (Michelle Keegan) tells Peter that she is departing the cobbles for a new life in London as she can't bear to be around him if they're not together as a proper couple.
When Peter begs Tina not to leave, she presents him with a huge ultimatum and promises to stay in Weatherfield if he tells his wife Carla the truth about them.
Liz McDonald is later shocked when Tina confides in her about the complicated situation, and she urges her employee to forget about Peter before any damage is done.
When Peter tells Tina that he won't leave Carla, she is crushed and realises Liz is right. Packing her bags, Tina makes an abrupt departure from Weatherfield.
While fans know Tina is leaving the show, her final scenes don't air until much later in the year - so what brings her back remains to be seen…

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, January 8 at 7.30pm on ITV.
Coronation Street barmaid Tina McIntyre tries to make a clean break from Peter Barlow by leaving Weatherfield early next month.
Tina (Michelle Keegan) tells Peter that she is departing the cobbles for a new life in London as she can't bear to be around him if they're not together as a proper couple.

En route to a business meeting, Peter bumps into Tina. Vowing to leave her alone, he urges her to stay in Weatherfield. Not wanting to have the conversation in full view of everyone, they head to Tina's flat. Full of frustration and anger, Tina smashes a glass and cuts her hand, but when Peter gently tends to her cut, Tina feels her resolve wavering and they go to kiss.
At the same time, Peter's client has turned up at the factory after Peter failed to go. Carla rings Peter, but how will he explain his no show?
Meanwhile, a bad-tempered Michelle lays into a perplexed Steve and Liz. Complaining that she feels tired and has put on weight, Maria jokes that Michelle might be pregnant. The joke clearly hits a nerve with Michelle. Could she be pregnant?
Elsewhere, Kylie and David feel awkward around each other as he moves his belongings back into Number 8. Kylie wants to get her life back on track but feels she's unemployable. Does David have an idea that could help her get a job?
Also, arriving back from a stressful time at Hayley's, Carla is furious to find a row erupting on the factory floor and sacks Beth.
Finally, to Lloyd's delight, Andrea pops into The Rovers to discuss coursework with Steve.
Tina is sickened by how easily Peter lied to Carla and turfs him out of the flat. Returning to Underworld, Peter realises his alibi has been blown when Carla demands to know why Peter stood up his client. Peter lies that he's been desperate to start drinking again and went to his support group.
Later, Carla confides her worries about Peter's drinking to Tina. Feeling awful about Carla, Tina gives Peter an ultimatum - she will stay if he tells Carla the truth…
Meanwhile, unsure of whether she wants a baby, Michelle asks Liz not to say anything to Steve, but when she sees him doing a celebratory dance she realises Liz has blabbed.
Elsewhere, Roy is worried about Hayley's deterioration when she admits she has no appetite anymore. Fiz and Tyrone bring round a platter of different foods for Hayley to try.
Also, Gail's constant presence at Number 8 hampers David and Kylie's reunion, and Beth asks Carla for her job back.
Wednesday
Liz is appalled that Tina has given Peter an ultimatum and urges Tina to make a clean break from him.
When Peter tells Tina that he won't leave Carla, Tina is crushed and realises Liz is right. Afterwards, she packs her bags to leave Weatherfield for good.
Meanwhile, not wanting to risk getting pregnant again, Michelle suggests Steve should get a vasectomy. Steve is horrified and confides in Andrea, who tells Steve that he should stand up to Michelle. But how will Michelle react if he refuses?
Elsewhere, as David and Kylie head out to work, Gail complains that the house is a tip. Knowing she will tidy up, devious David leaves his list of her good and bad points for her to find. Will Gail see the funny side and get her own back on David and Kylie?

Finally, Maria and Marcus decide to start house-hunting.
Friday
Roy is terrified when the doctor prescribes more morphine for Hayley.
Knowing she's planning her final curtain, Roy heads to Freshco to buy more of Hayley's favourite strawberries. But when he realises they've sold out, how will he react?
Meanwhile, Peter is clearly rattled when the factory girls discuss Tina's abrupt departure. Desperate for news of Tina, Peter corners Liz in The Rovers, but when Carla spots their conversation getting heated, will she question what's going on?
Elsewhere, Eva encourages Jason to give Tony a chance. He agrees to meet Tony at the Bistro on Monday night, forgetting that Eileen has arranged Todd's birthday meal at the same venue.
Also today, Steve is outraged by Michelle's sex ban.
Finally, Audrey is miffed when Kylie reveals that Maria has gone to view a house.
Roy is furious when the assistant refuses to sell him the strawberries, which are past their sell-by date.
Roy tries to make a run for it with the strawberries, but he's tackled to the ground by a security guard. Will Hayley see the funny side of his ordeal?
Meanwhile, Carla demands to know what Peter and Liz are arguing about. Peter splutters a **** and bull story, which Carla accepts. Carla wonders if Tina left because of Rob and decides to confront him.
Elsewhere, Todd is amused as Jason informs Eileen that he's inadvertently invited Tony to their family meal. Recognising its importance to Jason, Eileen is resigned.
Also today, Steve tells Michelle that he refuses to consider a vasectomy.
Finally, Audrey wishes Maria well when she admits that she and Marcus are buying a house.

I hope not
Going to Freshco’s to buy more strawberries, he becomes desperate when they refuse to sell him a batch past their sell-by date - So tries to make off with them
Forrest Gump may have famously said that “Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get”.
But according to Roy Cropper, it’s a punnet of strawberries.
For while wife Hayley may have survived Christmas and New Year’s Eve, she’s rapidly deteriorating as the pancreatic cancer takes a firmer hold.
After revealing that she’s losing her appetite, Fiz and Roy provide her with a variety of foods to see what will take her fancy.
And strawberries prove to be a winner with her.
But on Friday, Roy is concerned when the doctor prescribes more morphine for Hayley, particularly as she wants to end her life before the drugs change her personality.
Going to Freshco’s to buy more strawberries, Roy becomes desperate when they refuse to sell him a batch past their sell-by date.
Trying to make off with them results in Roy taking a tumble and squashing them.

Tonight's double bill sees Peter (Chris Gascoyne) miss an important business meeting in order to spend time with Tina McIntyre, hoping that he can convince her to stay in Weatherfield.
After begging Tina not to go through with her threats to leave, Peter makes an excuse to Carla (Alison King) by claiming that his Underworld client cancelled their meeting at the last minute.
Unfortunately for Peter, the client in question has already paid a visit to the factory to complain about his no-show. When Carla demands to know why Peter has lied, will he be able to keep a lid on his fling with Tina?
