Well it says in the Natalie Cassidy thread that her character is coming back in the new year in a storyline that will be big for the Butcher women of the house, so maybe Carol's ill? I hope not, I like Carol and think she deserves some happiness...hopefully with David but only because I love Michael French :)

Monday
Alfie arrives back at The Vic in a panic after throwing the bust through Phil's window. He tells Kat that they have to pack their bags immediately, but she won't be scared off so easily. At the same time, Roxy warns Phil that if he retaliates by hurting Alfie, they are finished. As a result, Phil comes up with a different plan to get back at Alfie.
Later in the pub, the Moons notice that it's an extremely busy night for punters. All becomes clear when Phil announces that he's had Alfie's beloved car crushed and everyone is drinking the money that he made from scrap. He adds that Kat and Alfie will be out of The Vic at Christmas…
An increasingly uncomfortable Jake makes his way through the evening
Jake is uncomfortable
Meanwhile, Sadie invites Max to a dinner party she has organised, telling him to bring a date. As Max has nobody to go with, he takes Lauren instead. The dinner is extremely awkward for Jake as Lauren toys with him throughout the evening. Jake wants Lauren to go home, but a hurt Lauren snoops around Sadie and Jake's bedroom. When Sadie catches Lauren, they have a heart-to-heart. Thinking Lauren is feeling down about her drinking problem, Sadie offers her a job at Beauty over Christmas.
Elsewhere, Joey tells Janine that he's been trying to get Alice to plead guilty, but he asks her to keep this to herself. Janine is suspicious over his claim and when she visits Carol later, she discovers that Joey was lying. Returning to Joey, Janine reveals that she knows the truth and their relationship is over.
Also today, as Dexter's behaviour starts to spiral out of control, Ava tells Cora the truth about why she asked Sam to leave.
Tuesday
Roxy receives her annulment paperwork but delays completing the forms, telling Alfie that she is ashamed at having to formally admit what happened between them. Kat offers to pay for the application, but her gesture doesn't go down well with a frosty Roxy. Later, as Roxy gets drunk at The Vic, she starts to respond to advances from Carl - despite Phil and Ronnie's warnings that he is bad news.
Later, Ronnie and Roxy comfort each other over their failed relationships and Roxy finally signs the annulment papers. Ronnie hopes her sister will now get back on track, but Roxy ends up waiting outside Carl's that evening. When Carl arrives, Roxy pounces on him…
Meanwhile, Dexter realises that Cora and Ava both know more about Sam's whereabouts than they are letting on. Dexter confronts Ava, but she refuses to tell him anything. Later, Ava tells Cora that she didn't get the job she interviewed for, but has been offered a different opportunity in Newcastle. Will Ava take it?
Elsewhere, Jake urges Lauren to hand in her notice at Beauty, adding that what's happening between them needs to end. However, Lauren appears to be enjoying the risk of the situation. Later, Jake and Lauren meet up again. Despite their previous tension, they end up passionately kissing.
Also today, Cindy tells TJ about the background of the Butchers, which prompts him to call Nikki and tell her everything, while Masood discovers that Zainab has a new fiancé named Haroon.
Thursday
Roxy and Carl are clocked by Tina after spending the night together. Ronnie is suspicious over where Roxy has been, but Tina covers for her and claims that she stayed with her and Shirley. Grateful for this, Roxy heads to The Vic with Tina and they get drunk together. At the same time, Ronnie confronts Shirley over letting Roxy stay, but she soon realises that this was a lie and Roxy actually stayed at Carl's.
Later, Ronnie drags Roxy home from The Vic as her behaviour with Tina becomes increasingly raucous. Worried about her sister, Ronnie decides to secretly book three one-way tickets to Ibiza on New Year's Day…
Meanwhile, Joey convinces Kat to visit Alice in prison. As they discuss the details of Michael's murder, Alice tells Kat that she doesn't know what really happened - just that Janine claims she was responsible. This plants a seed of doubt in Kat's mind. Later, however, Kat tells Joey that she thinks Alice is guilty and Joey is mad if he believes otherwise.
Elsewhere, Dexter continues to behave badly following Sam's departure and ends up losing his job at The Arches after clashing with Phil. When Dexter then confides in Lola, he misinterprets her concern for affection and makes a move on her, which she rejects. Later, Abi and Jay try to cheer Dexter up, but he snaps and reveals that Jay cheated on Abi.
Also today, Cora tells Ava that she should follow her dreams and take the job, Janine considers buying The Vic following a suggestion from Alfie but Kat isn't pleased with this, Cindy causes problems by falsely telling TJ that she has slept with loads of people including Liam, while Nikki returns and makes it clear to Bianca that she will be around for Christmas.
Friday
Carol seems distracted as she faces a stressful day. She has to cover for Marie, who is off sick, and this means that she has to let down Joey as she can't visit Alice with him. Seeing that Carol is unhappy, David promises to cook dinner.
Later, Carol storms out of the café following a sarcastic comment from Lucy. When she returns home, she is angered further to see that David has forgotten to sort out dinner. Carol throws David out before heading to the bathroom, trembling. As Carol feels her breast, it's clear that she has found something…
Roxy tells Alfie that Phil has found a buyer.
Meanwhile, Phil is contacted by a potential buyer - a property development company who are interested in the pub. Soon afterwards, Alfie tries to warn Roxy off Carl, but she retaliates by telling him that Phil has found a buyer. Knowing the potential buyer's intentions, Phil is feeling torn and turns to Sharon for some advice.
Elsewhere, Janine fires Lucy and Danny to free up some cash quickly. She then proceeds to the pub to inform everyone that she is going to be the next landlady.
Also today, Dexter lets slip to Abi that Lola also knew about Jay's cheating, Phil refuses to give Ronnie a £20,000 loan when she refuses to tell him what it's for, David is rejected when he approaches both Max and Janine with new investment ideas, and Abi finally agrees to see Jay but will she forgive him?
EastEnders newcomer TJ Spraggan will make a discovery about the Butcher family's history that will bring his mum Nikki back to Walford.
Viewers saw Nikki, played by Rachel Wilde, make her debut on the show last night when she turned up unexpectedly at the Butchers' house to see her children.
Next week, TJ will become increasingly uncomfortable around Whitney after Cindy Junior fills him in on her past with Tony.
When Whitney later confronts TJ about his odd behaviour, the atmosphere is noticed by the whole house.
After Bianca and Terry question him, TJ blurts out what Cindy has told him about all of their pasts.
However, Terry is quick to add that he was aware of the family's past and still thinks they are amazing, causing TJ to run off.
Terry tries to comfort TJ and eventually thinks the situation has been resolved. However TJ later calls Nikki, and tells her everything, prompting her to return to Walford.
