Monday

Evelyn and Spencer try to escape the cult, but Spencer's injuries slow them down. Casey wants to get his HSC, but can he overcome all the obstacles? The Braxtons are concerned with how Ricky's coping without Brax.

Tuesday

Will Evelyn turn over the evidence her and Spencer collected and risk incriminating her father? Spencer struggles to deal with another failed attempt to control his bi-polar. Will Josh ever be able to get over his anger at recent events? Alf returns home after Marilyn calls him, but how will Roo react? Brax and Ricky are faced with the harsh reality of life with him in prison. Leah starts work at Summer Bay High with some mixed results.

Wednesday

April gets the offer of a lifetime. Roo is refusing to give up on Harvey, but is there any chance he'll return? Indi is off to see the world, but where does this leave Chris? Spencer is faced with another decision about the treatment of his bi-polar.

Thursday

Alf, John and Marilyn struggle to find a way to help Roo. Indi tells Chris the truth about why she has to leave the bay.
Nina shows up at Jett's house, will he lie to John for her? Dex is surprised to discover that April is in touch with her father.

Monday episode 5861 - 28/10/13

Evelyn tries to help Spencer escape the cult, but he’s struggling with his injuries. Evelyn is not able to contact anyone for help as the phone is out of battery. Meanwhile, Oscar’s connection to Evie allows him to realise something is wrong. Leah’s sceptical when Hannah explains the connection the twins have always shared. Desperate to help Evie, Oscar shows Hannah the letter Evie smuggled out to him. Hannah goes to rescue Evie and asks Zac for his help. Meanwhile, Spencer’s injuries are more significant than they first thought, with Spencer coughing up blood. Evie is relieved when her father Ethan arrives, believing he’ll save her. But when Murray appears from a car, Evelyn realises that they’re there to return them to the cult. She tries to make her father understand the cult is violent, but he’s too brainwashed by Murray. Zac and Hannah arrive to save them, but Ethan wants Evelyn to stay with them. Evelyn tries one last time to reach her father, telling him about the Discovery Weekend, but Murray hurries Ethan away.

Casey’s keen to get his HSC but keeps it from Tamara. He’s disillusioned when he realises he can’t get his HSC this year, as he hasn’t met the requirements to sit the exam. Bianca keeps Casey’s HSC aspirations secret from Heath, but Heath’s concerned for his little brother. He feels the pressure to fill Brax’s shoes while he’s away. Under pressure, Casey reveals he wanted to sit the HSC but he’s not able to until next year. Tamara can see how much Casey wants to have his HSC. Montgomery’s doubtful that Casey would ever be able to achieve his HSC. Bianca stands up to Montgomery, so she calls the school board accusing Bianca of trying to help an ex-con to get his HSC. Bianca begins to lecture Montgomery about all that Casey’s been through, and suddenly realises this could be grounds to get Casey his HSC. She tells Casey that he could get an HSC if the Department deem him exempt from exams because of all the struggles he’s faced while being a student.

Kyle wants to get in contact with Brax at the prison, but Ricky thinks they should wait until they’re told they can see him. She forces Kyle to apologise to Casey, feeling that the brothers should be close. Casey and Kyle realise they are both missing their older brother. Heath’s pleased to see his brothers finally getting along, and Ricky happily tells them that they can visit Brax this afternoon – however, she won’t be able to as she has to look after Josh. The brothers know that Ricky is struggling more than any of them without Brax, so they give up their places so Ricky can have alone time with him.

Tuesday episode 5862 - 29/10/13

Spencer collapses whilst trying to escape the lodge and is rushed to hospital. Oscar is relieved to see that Evelyn but she struggles to tell them what happened at the “discovery weekend”. She eventually tells Oscar, Zac and Hannah what happened and admits she has proof on her phone, but she’s worried about showing to the police in case in in criminates their father. They all encourage her to turn the proof over and Evelyn finally agrees. Zac goes to the lodge to tell Ethan that Evelyn is safe. While he’s there the police arrive in force, arrest both Murray and Ethan then begin shutting the place down. Later, Oscar and Evelyn return to the lodge to collect their Mother’s belongings.

Roo’s anger and fear is starting to manifest as Winston is unable to shed any light on where Harvey fell overboard. However, she’s distracted when she learns that Spencer is in hospital. Spencer admits that he went to the lodge because he was trying to find a non-medical way to deal with his bi-polar. Nate is on the case with Spencer trying to convince him that the best option is for him to go back on his medication and that he should call Chris so has support from his family.

Josh has been released from hospital and Maddy persuades him to stay at the house with her. After Ricky settles Josh in with Maddy and Roo, she tells him that she’s going to see Brax in hospital, and it’s evident from Josh’s response that he is harbouring a lot of anger towards Brax. Later, Josh admits to Maddy that he understands that Brax was just trying to protect his family, Andy would have done the same thing for him. But he’s scared of the amount of anger he has towards everyone. Back at the house, Maddy and Josh are getting very cosy on the couch as Alf arrives back from the U.S. Roo is initially happy to see him, but lived when she finds out that Marilyn called him, to tell him about Harvey.

Ricky visits Brax in prison, and tells him of Heath’s fitness course and how things are going on the outside. Brax apologises for putting her through this. She tells him that his lawyer is still working on the appeal for him to be re-tried as a juvenile, but Brax isn’t keeping his hopes up. Ricky breaks down when Brax is taken away at the end of their time.

Leah starts working at Summer Bay High, much to VJ’s disgust. Her first day goes fairly smoothly, apart from getting some attitude from Ms Montgomery.

Wednesday episode 5863 - 30/10/13

April’s father has seen on facebook that she’s getting married and is suddenly trying to get in contact. Irene convinces her that perhaps she should give him a chance, but when she does get in touch, April’s father starts trying to talk her into moving to Paris and finishing her degree there. Initially April thinks the idea is ridiculous, but when Nate points out what an amazing opportunity it is, April starts to consider it. April calls her Father back to get more information about exactly what studying in France would entail. Irene overhears the conversation and is surprised to find that she hasn’t spoken to Dex about it yet.

Marilyn receives and irate phone call from Roo, angry that she called Alf and told him about Harvey. When Marilyn tries to apologise Roo snaps and tells everybody to stop acting like Harvey’s not coming home. The next morning, Roo works overtime to keep herself busy, ignoring her own feelings. When Marilyn tries again to apologise, Roo brushes her off, telling her that she should apologise to Sally and Pippa as they’re the ones who really need Alf’s support. Roo begins to unravel as news arrive that the search has been called off. Marilyn, Maddy and Alf all struggle to figure out a way to be supportive of Roo, but she is further angered assuming that they’ve all given up on Harvey.

Having decided to leave the Bay, Indi starts researching where she’d like to travel too, but has yet to tell Chris of her plans. The next day, Chris pushes from more information about her need for space and Indi relents, telling him that she’s leaving, and she doesn’t think she’s ever coming back. Chris is shocked at first, but railroads a reluctant Indi into letting him go with her. An ecstatic Chris tells Irene that he’s leaving to see the world with the love of his life. Indi finally finds the courage to tell Chris that she doesn’t want him to come, it’s time that she moves on alone. She leaves a heartbroken Chris behind.

Spencer finally relents and calls Sasha and Chris to apologise, but he’s lost as to what to do now. When he’s released from hospital Spencer is still refusing to go back on his medication despite Nate’s pleas. After their recent issues, Sasha points out to Spencer that he has to be able to trust him, but also that his recovery can’t be out her. He has to do what’s right for him. After making his decision, Spencer returns to the hospital to get a prescription for his mediation from Nate.

Thursday episode 5864 - 31/10/13

With Roo’s refusal to think of anything but Harvey returning safe and sound, Alf, Marilyn and John struggle to figure out how to help her. They don’t want her thinking they’ve given up but at the same time, her denial of the realities isn’t really healthy either. Nothing they say or do get through to her. Alf becomes even more worried when Roo asks to borrow money so she can fly to Hong Kong to convince the local authorities to continue the search. When Irene brings food over from the diner, Roo jumps down her throat, sick everyone acting like Harvey is gone. In private moment, Roo breaks down and confides to Alf that she doesn’t know what to do.

Dex is excited about his upcoming Star Wars nuptials, but his good mood is dampened by Sasha and Indi’s recent break-ups. When Dex goes to see how Chris is doing, he tells Dex that he doesn’t really understand why Indi broke up with him. He thought they were perfect together. Dex goes back to Indi and suggests she tell Chris the truth. Chris agrees to meet her that night, where she explains to him that falling in love with him scared her. Their relationship was just supposed to be something fun, but the more serious it got, the more she realised that she’s not over Romeo yet, and isn’t ready to be with anyone else. He offers to wait for her, but Indi tells him that she may never be ready. The next morning, Dex is waiting on quotes for Star Wars costumes for the wedding but when he opens his computer, he sees and email to April from her father about her “stay in Paris.”

Jett is still upset about losing Nina to another school and John tries to cheer him up by offering to take him ten-pin bowling. Jett reluctantly agrees but just when Jett thinks that he’s doomed to a lifetime of loneliness, Nina shows up at his house. When John calls from the diner to ask if Marilyn can come bowling with them, Jett makes up an excuse and says he can’t go anymore, but at Nina’s request does not tell him that Nina is there. After a fun night, Jett discovers that Nina doesn’t have permission to be there and doesn’t like lying to John, but agrees to hide her in his room. The next morning John catches Jett sleeping on the couch and is suspicious. John leaves the house and Jett brings Nina out of his room, only to have John return immediately. Sprung!

Thursday episode 5865 - 31/10/13

Dex tells April that he’s seen an email from her father and April admits that he’s offered to help her finish her course in Paris but April tells Dex that she’s not taking it seriously. Meanwhile, Dex is still going on about the Star Wars wedding and is a little put out to find April thinks he’s joking. April confides to Bianca that she’s actually interested in going to Paris despite what she told Dex. Meanwhile at the Diner, Irene lets slip to Dex that April is taking the Paris offer seriously. Dex is upset thinking that April is has cold feet about the wedding. When he talks to her, April assures him that Paris is not on the table. But when they arrive home, April discovers an email from a University in Paris offering her a position at the school. April is ready to decline the offer when Dex stops her, perhaps they should discuss this properly. Despite April’s protestations Dex can see that she really does want to go to Paris. When talking to Casey, Dex realises that he’s the only thing holding April back and that with life’s inevitable changing, maybe it’s time he take a chance on something. Dex rushes home to tell April that his home is wherever she is.

Casey and Tamara find themselves in a weird lull in their relationship. With no dramas to occupy them they struggle to make conversation, a bored Heath picks up on this and starts ribbing them about the boring relationship. When Tamara takes this to heart, Casey is forced to face the fact that there might actually be an issue. Tamara and Casey admit to each other that things have been off between them, but decide to try and make it work.

Having discovered Nina at his house, John is livid and demands that Nina give him her number immediately so he can call her parents but Nina refuses. John goes to see Bianca to get the phone number for Nina’s parents and tells Jett and Nina that he’ll be dropping her back at her boarding school at 7pm sharp. Meanwhile, whilst watching an afternoon movie, John has fallen asleep, and awakes to find that Jett and Nina have run away together.

Bianca talks to Heath about the troubles with the Mangrove River kids at school and when a bored Heath sees some kids misbehaving outside of school, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Heath drags the two kids into the school, thinking they were wagging, only to find that they had a free period. Ms Montgomery is there to witness this mis-step leaving Bianca furious. That afternoon, Bianca arrives home to find that Heath has cleaned the entire house in an attempt to apologise. Bianca, however, doesn’t have the energy to fight after a tough day and Heath tells her that she’s an amazing teacher and that she should hang in there for the sake of the kids that she’s helping.
