An upcoming plot will see Steve decide to go back to school, wanting to improve his education as he has been struggling to help his daughter Amy with her homework.
Andrea will be one of Steve's classmates in his lessons and they quickly strike up a friendship, but this doesn't go down well with Steve's suspicious partner Michelle Connor (Kym Lomas).
A show statement teased: "Is Michelle right to be wary, or has Andrea actually set her sights on another well-known Weatherfielder?"
Coronation Street's producer Stuart Blackburn told itv.com: "I'm absolutely delighted to welcome Hayley to the show. She's a great actress who I know is going to bring plenty of drama to the famous cobbles of Weatherfield."
Tamaddon played the role of Delilah Dingle on Emmerdale between 2005 and 2007.
She also won the fifth series of ITV's Dancing on Ice in 2010.

I don't like Steve and Michelle as a couple this time around so maybe this new character Andrea could be a better match for Steve

I don't like Steve and Michelle as a couple now, it seems really weird that they would get back together and with so little fuss!
Liking Steve going back to school though, you wouldn't expect it from a bloke like him with a fairly successful business to keep him occupied, could encourage others to do it.

Hayley Tamaddon has spoken of her nerves at joining Coronation Street.
The former Emmerdale actress admitted that she was "petrified" about working on the long-running soap.
She told Inside Soap: "I had to call my mum on the first day as I was too scared to drive to the studio.
"I felt sick, because it was the biggest deal ever. But once I got there I was fine. Everyone was lovely!"
Tamaddon added that she was more nervous about working on Coronation Street than Emmerdale because she only had one audition and one screen test for the role.
She explained: "I was petrified because it was all so quick!
"I had five auditions for Delilah (in Emmerdale), but with Andrea there was just one, then a screen test with Simon Gregson (who plays Steve) and Craig Charles (who plays Lloyd Mullaney) - and then I was offered the job!"
Tamaddon will take part in Dancing on Ice: All-Stars in the new year, which will see six former winners of the ice-skating series battling to keep their crown.
Former Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon makes her Coronation Street debut next week, taking on the role of Steve McDonald's new friend and classmate Andrea.
Andrea has developed a close connection with Steve (Simon Gregson) off screen in recent weeks, but when she turns up at The Rovers for the first time, it soon becomes clear that she wants more than just a friendship. With Michelle Connor instantly suspicious, will there be fireworks ahead?
Here, Hayley chats about her new role and reveals what viewers can expect from Andrea over the next few weeks.
How did you feel about being the new girl on set?
"I was petrified! It all happened very, very quickly. I had one audition and then the following week, I had a screen test with Simon Gregson and Craig Charles. It was so fast compared to Emmerdale, where I had about five auditions for the role of Delilah. I was really surprised when they said they were offering the role of Andrea to me.
"I was doing a play in Hull at the time and I got a call saying, 'You start in ten days'. Again, that was so fast. I finished my play, had the weekend off and then came to Corrie to start on the Monday. My first scene was in The Rovers, so they threw me in at the deep end but everyone was very welcoming."
Had you been up for any Corrie roles in the past?
"Never! I feel lucky, really, because to do one soap and then to be able to do another is pretty good. Hopefully I've left the Emmerdale character behind and now people will see something new and different. The two characters are completely different, which is really good news."
How would you describe Andrea?
"Andrea is sassy but not overly confident. She's also warm and she's loving - at the moment! Andrea has had her heart broken numerous times in the past. She's got a 20-year-old daughter who she had very young, when she was 15 or 16.
"Andrea has struggled like most people do when they have a child at that age, but now she's out to find Mr Right and I don't think she's going to let anybody stand in her way."
So is Steve her Mr Right?
"She thinks so at the moment, yes, but Steve has no idea! They're friends who've met at college, but in her head, there might be something more on the horizon. Andrea does know that Steve isn't available because she comes straight into the pub and meets Michelle.
"Andrea is nice to Michelle but then she turns round to Steve and says, 'I don't think Michelle likes me'. I think it's probably because Michelle knows Andrea is a single woman and is questioning her intentions. From what I've filmed so far, Andrea hasn't done anything mean or nasty - but that could be something which is on the horizon."

Andrea and Steve have a close friendship
Are you nervous about fans not liking Andrea if she does make a play for Steve?
"Well, when I played Delilah I had a woman hit me with a handbag in Selfridges because I ran away with £20,000 worth of Eric Pollard's money! She gave me a right cracking old wallop with a handbag! So I know that happens.
"I suppose I get nervous about the recognition thing and what people will think, but it is part of my job and I understand that. My main hope is that Andrea turns out to be everything that Delilah Dingle wasn't - two totally different characters. It'd be great for me to play something really different."
Have you ever considered going back to Emmerdale?
"I always thought that Delilah should come back with a child and say to David, 'Here you go - here's your son!' Now I'm in Corrie so that's not going to happen I don't think, though I do know a couple of people who have crossed back and forth between soaps three or four times!
"You never know what the future holds, but I feel so happy and lucky to be part of Coronation Street. It's the biggest soap, so I'm blessed really, especially as hundreds of people went up for this role and they chose me."
What are Simon Gregson and Craig Charles like to work with?
"They're a laugh a minute. On my first day in The Rovers, I was trying to be really good and not laugh, but just before they called 'action', Craig Charles told a joke that we all laughed at! They're really fun guys and they took me to the pub on my first night after filming. They're lovely, lovely down-to-earth people."
Are you moving to Manchester for the role?
"I live in London, so I'll be doing my best - as a few of the cast do - to commute. I think with the train journey being two hours, it's really possible to do it. I'll stay here in hotels or whatever when it's necessary, and hopefully that'll be easy. I'm not looking to buy a property or anything - I actually just sold my house in Leeds, and then I got this job!"

Andrea causes tension at The Rovers
Will Andrea's daughter be brought in?
"I hope so, but I've heard nothing yet. It's nice to have that backstory, because she's come in on her own. It's great that we know Andrea has someone else in her family, as it could path off into different stories. Hopefully we'll meet her."
Could Andrea turn scary in her pursuit of Steve?
"I hope not, but I have no idea! My brief was just that Andrea's had so many knock-backs and been unlucky in the past, so she thinks it's time for her now. She's gone back to college on the advice of her daughter, as she wants to put herself first.
"Andrea won't let anyone else stand in her way. She's one of the lads, she likes playing darts and playing beer. Steve hasn't come across someone quite like that before. Even though they're just friends, Steve is really afraid of Michelle's reaction and what she might say."
Why does Andrea like Steve so much?
"In the past she's gone for the wrong type of guy. Now she's just out to find somebody who makes her laugh and who she can have a beer with. Andrea and Steve have been enjoying a laugh after college each night. Andrea has also been helping Steve with his college work, as she's a little bit more clever than he is."
Could there be an argument between Andrea and Michelle?
"I hope so, because I love scripts like that! I've done a couple of scenes with Beverley Callard and Kym Marsh where eyeballs, stares and little comments are already coming into play. Fingers crossed, as that sort of story is always a good one!"
Where does Andrea live?
"They haven't said yet! She's not living on the street, but she visits The Rovers at least twice a week at the moment. That does cause some comments from Liz McDonald who says, 'Really? Here again?!' Hopefully Andrea might get a job nearby which will bring her a bit closer."

Andrea makes herself at home.
What is Andrea's style like?
"She wears quite revealing clothes - and I chose these! What was I thinking when I chose skintight dresses?! I imagine that as Andrea has a 20-year-old daughter, she likes to keep up with the trends and they choose stuff together. Andrea is definitely not trashy but she wears skinny jeans and dresses with tights. Her attitude is that she's cool and she's trying to keep up with the kids."
Who are you hoping to work more with?
"I'd love to do more with Beverley Callard. We've done a couple of little bits and after they've said 'cut' we've both said, 'Oh, that was good!' Liz is sticking up for Michelle at the moment and wondering why Andrea keeps coming back to The Rovers. Andrea is taking any opportunity to come into the pub, and Liz is picking up on that."
You've kept quite busy between the two soap roles, haven't you?
"I have - I've been really lucky. This industry is hard and as an actress you struggle, because there are so many people out of work. When you get a job, it's a celebration.
"I've just done a play for four months, which I felt really lucky to do. I've done musicals, plays and bits of telly, which have allowed me to enjoy a real mix. When you're out of work for six months you panic about how you're going to pay the bills, but then something brilliant comes up and you're back on a roll."
How long are you in Corrie for?
"I hope it'll be a year. In Corrie, you get six-month contracts but fingers crossed if the public like me, I'll do a year and then we'll see what happens!"

Michelle doesnt look to impressed by the new arrival!
Coronation Street's new recruit Hayley Tamaddon looks set to become a permanent face in Weatherfield after impressing show bosses in her role as Andrea Beckett.
The former Emmerdale actress is being given a new six-month deal with the ITV soap after her early scenes proved popular, according to The Sun today (January 12).
Andrea was introduced to the cobbles as a friend of Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) just before Christmas. Although Andrea has feelings for Steve, she has also been tipped for a future romance with his best friend Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles).
Coronation Street's producer Stuart Blackburn praised Tamaddon at a press event for the show earlier this week.
He commented: "We gave Hayley the hardest job - can you sit between Craig Charles, Simon Gregson, Sue Cleaver and be just as funny? She's doing it! The relationship between Steve and Lloyd is so good, but stick Andrea in the middle of those and expect her to hold her ground."
Coronation Street chiefs are reportedly keen to hold on to their female stars following Michelle Keegan's decision to bow out from her role as Tina McIntyre.
Alison King signed a new deal late last year which will see her carry on as Carla Connor for the foreseeable future, while bosses are also eager to keep Catherine Tyldesley's character Eva Price.
she will get with lloyd and then cheat on him with steve
It's obvious she likes steve otherwise she would be dating Lloyd by now. I predict a pregnancy , a second child for Steve.
Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon has admitted that she was "gobsmacked" when she learned that show bosses wanted to keep her in Weatherfield.
Last month, it was revealed that the actress had landed a new contract with the soap and would be sticking around as Andrea Beckett for the foreseeable future.
Speaking on ITV's This Morning today (February 4), Tamaddon explained: "Initially I was only signed up for six months. After my first week or two on screen, the producers rang my agents and said, 'We would love her to stay'.
"I was gobsmacked. I just thought, 'I'll be in and I'll be out' - and I don't want to be out! I'm loving it so much."
Tamaddon initially feared that she would miss out on Coronation Street altogether, as she auditioned for the programme when she had already committed herself to the final series of Dancing on Ice.
She explained: "I actually said to my agent, 'Is there any point in me even going to the audition, because once they find out about Dancing on Ice, I'm sure they'll give the part to somebody else'. He was like, 'You never know - go along and meet them'.
"It just slotted into place - it was amazing. They've been so overly helpful. Both Dancing on Ice and Corrie have come together to really help me make it work."
Tamaddon also promised interesting times ahead for Andrea, who grows closer to Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) this week despite her feelings for his best friend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).
She said: "I think she's probably set herself to get Steve, and she's not going to stop until she gets him. Poor Lloyd - he's really fallen for Andrea. There is going to be some nice stuff, actually, with both of those characters.
"But I don't think she ever takes her eye off the ball. She really does fancy Steve, but to get to Steve, maybe she thinks she might go through Lloyd."
This will turn sinister as she is prepared to sleep with his friend to get to him.
i think jenna is after her
Has lloyd ever been to her place? What is she hiding?
Has lloyd ever been to her place? What is she hiding?
There's something suspicious going on about Andrea's home alright...
Andrea Beckett has been keeping a shocking secret from Lloyd Mullaney and the rest of Coronation Street that will be exposed next month.
Throughout her time on the cobbles, Andrea (Hayley Tamaddon) has actually been leading a double life and has a husband, who she has been married to for 20 years.
The truth surfaces when husband Neil confronts Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) in the Rovers, mistaking him for his wife's lover.
Lloyd (Craig Charles) later arrives to dispel the confusion but is heartbroken to discover Andrea has been juggling a second life.
Earlier this month, Lloyd's daughter Jenna (Krissi Bohn) began to suspect Andrea was hiding something, after she failed to show up at a charity fun run.
That is disappointing as it is so obvious. I was thinking all sorts. Maybe she was using her house as a brothel, or she had a lesbian partner...but no corrie had to go for the obvious one.

Maybe Andrea is separated but sharing the house with her estranged. Many do that.
She could have told him that. Anyway why is her husband on the war path then?

She could have told him that. Anyway why is her husband on the war path then?
Maybe he thinks he still has a chance with her as they're still legally married?
Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon has revealed that she is hoping for a future between her character Andrea Beckett and Andrea's boyfriend Lloyd Mullaney.
It will soon be revealed that Andrea has been keeping secret from Lloyd (Craig Charles) the fact that she is married, and Tamaddon said that her character has been in turmoil.
She explained: "Andrea has been married for 20 years but her husband Neil works away.
"On this occasion Neil has been away for four months and comes home to visit - but in the four months that he's been away, Andrea has fallen head over heels for someone else."
Tamaddon also said that her character has not been intentionally misleading either Lloyd or Neil.
"I don't think she's [Andrea] a bad person; I just think she's lied so much now that it's completely out of control.
"It's spiralled out of control because what started off as a bit of fun has now turned into her being madly in love."
On how the two men would react to Andrea's secret being revealed, Tamaddon revealed that she hopes they would be able to forgive Andrea.
"Neil is a huge softie and I think he would take Andrea back in a heartbeat, no matter what she did to him.
"He's the kind of guy that would say to Andrea that he didn't care what she'd done, as long as she didn't leave him."
She continued: "I hope [Lloyd] will be able to forgive her, but I've just filmed some really heartbreaking scenes between them... who knows what will happen and whether he can forgive her for hiding the truth?!"
She was after Steve first so she must have had a number of affairs
Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon has revealed that her character Andrea Beckett will be left devastated once again when her ex-husband Neil refuses to leave her alone.
As Andrea attempts to move on from her past and looks forward to a new life with Lloyd, they are shocked to discover that Neil is planning to stay in Weatherfield.
Tamaddon said: "They are absolutely gutted to be honest. They're finally back on their feet as a couple and feel ready to move on with their lives together.
"When they thought that Neil was moving away to the Philippines it was the news they really needed as they thought they'd finally be able to put the past in the past, so when he strolls into the Rovers it's so unexpected.
"They are horrified that he's decided to give up the job so he can stay around to pursue Andrea instead."
With Neil continuing to pester them, Andrea finds herself trapped in a difficult situation once again.
Tamaddon said: "She's stuck really. She can't really do any more than she's doing by telling Neil over and over that the marriage is dead and that she loves someone else.
"Andrea doesn't want to hurt Neil, he's not done anything wrong along the way, and she's just fallen out of love with him. Andrea is worried about it though. She doesn't want Neil to come between her and Lloyd."
Speaking about the future for Andrea, Tamaddon added: "I'm so happy here at Corrie and I love playing Andrea, so anything that's thrown at the character I'll be happy with.
"I'd like to see her and Lloyd have some uninterrupted happiness for a while, if they ever manage to escape Neil!"
I hate this character. Don't see what these men see in her. They are better off without her.
Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon has revealed that she wants her character Andrea Beckett to tie the knot with Lloyd Mullaney.
The on-screen couple have recently overcome some big obstacles in their relationship, as they made it through weeks of harassment from Andrea's estranged husband Neil (Will Travis).
Andrea originally pursued Lloyd (Craig Charles) while she was still attached to Neil, but the Weatherfield cabbie later forgave her for lying to him.
Speaking to Digital Spy at the Inside Soap Awards 2014 this week, Tamaddon commented: "Now that Neil has gone, Lloyd and Andrea are just relaxing and being a couple at the moment. It's lovely. We're going to see them in the flat together and getting to know each other better.
"Hopefully we're going to see their relationship develop. I'd love to see them getting married and having babies and all sorts, but I think that's because I love Corrie and I'm quite happy to stay. There's scope for a lot with those two.
"Andrea has also got a daughter who we haven't met yet, so you never know, she might pop up at some stage."
Whatever happens, Andrea will be sticking around on the cobbles for at least another year as Tamaddon recently signed a new contract with the ITV show.
Asked about her future storylines, the actress added: "I don't know very much, to be honest - I'm quite happy doing what I'm told for the moment! But to be signed for another year is just amazing."
Goodbye Hayley
Hayley Tamaddon is to say farewell to Weatherfield - as part of one of the dramatic plots which will be central to Corrie’s huge live episode week.
Details of the storyline are being kept under wraps but the door will be left open for a possible return in the future.
Hayley joined the show in late 2013 as a Andrea Beckett, a night school friend of Steve McDonald. Her obsession with Steve caused him problems with girlfriend Michelle, but Andrea soon caught the eye of Steve’s mate Lloyd Mullaney played by Craig Charles.
They started dating but Andrea had kept one important detail from lovestruck Lloyd - she was married with a grown up daughter!
Having overcome that obstacle and the fact that Lloyd’s daughter Jenna objected to the relationship the couple grew closer and Andrea moved into Lloyd’s flat.
Hayley will start filming her exit storyline in July and will be on screen until September, she will be involved in the live episode being screened as part of ITV’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
Stuart Blackburn said:
“Hayley has brought real magic to the Corrie cobbles, funny, energetic, totally professional and a joy to be around as a friend and colleague alike she'll be sorely missed and I'd simply like to wish her all the very best for the future.”
Hayley said:
“I came into Corrie for 3 months and have stayed for 2 years! I will be so sad to leave, I have had the best two years of my life here, it really is one big family. Everyone looks out for each other and I’ve made some incredible friends.
“I am excited about my exit storyline and the fact that it is part of the live episode. Corrie has given me a great platform to hopefully go on to work on other dramas but I’d never rule out a return to Weatherfield as I love it so much.
“I am looking forward to what the future holds but in the meantime there is still plenty more to be done here.”
Excellent news - apart from the bit about the door being left open for a possible return!

Our video interview sees the soap star confirm that Andrea and her boyfriend Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) will be leaving the cobbles at the same time.
Hayley also discusses the chances of a happy exit for the couple, the challenges of Corrie going live and her future career plans.
Glad she is going. Not sure what she added to the show. Lloyd better when he is on his own
I had hoped better for her, was fun when she was attracted to Steve but the Andrea/Lloyd pairing did not work for me. I am glad though that both seem to be leaving together
Coronation Street's Andrea Beckett will jeopardise her relationship with Lloyd Mullaney next week when she steals one of his most valued records in order to raise some quick cash.
When her daughter Jess calls up and asks for urgent help to pay her rent, Andrea feels backed into a corner and takes shocking action.
After stealing from Lloyd, Andrea is plagued with guilt when he kindly comes up with ideas to help her, but when he realises what she has done, their relationship looks like it could be in serious trouble.
As Andrea packs her bags and prepares to leave, Lloyd has to decide whether or not he will be able to forgive her.
Here, Hayley Tamaddon - who plays Andrea - discusses Hayley's shocking stealing decision and what the future now holds for her and Lloyd.
What's the state of Lloyd and Andrea's relationship at this point?
"They are okay. Up until the point where she starts lying to him, the relationship has been going well. He's definitely still the man for her, she absolutely worships the ground he walks on and she doesn't want to be with anyone else."
Andrea's daughter Jess gets in touch and asks for help. What kind of trouble is she in?
"Jess is in need of £1000 to pay her rent because her flatmate has ditched her and left her in a right old mess and she's really scared the bailiffs are going to come. She's really behind with her rent and she's in trouble, so she asks her mum to lend it to her. The only way Andrea can get her hands on that sort of money is to either ask for it, which she doesn't want to do as she's a bit embarrassed, or do something else, a bit bad, which is steal one of Lloyd's records!"

LLoyd offers to sell some records to help Andrea
Why does Andrea not ask Lloyd to lend her the cash?
"She brings it up and Lloyd says, 'I've got £40, you can have that'. So he's clearly not going to lend her the sort of money she needs and he's not very sympathetic about Jess's situation. He says his daughter doesn't ask him for money but Andrea points out she does and they should look after their kids. Then she just thinks, 'If you're not going to help me then I'll do it on my own'."
Andrea decides to steal and sell one of Lloyd's discs. Why does she do this? Does she think he won't notice?
"I think because of the amount of records he has, she probably think he won't notice that one has gone missing. But having said that, they have previously had a conversation about records where this particular one was brought up. He said, 'This is my favourite ever record and it's worth a thousand pounds'. She thinks, 'Okay, there you go, I've got my £1000'. Maybe she thinks he won't even know it's gone but he does!"

Lloyd catches Andrea getting into a taxi
Would she ever consider coming clean?
"I don't think she'd ever have come clean had he not noticed it wasn't there - she would have just been pleased that she'd got away with it. In her mind she didn't steal a thousand pounds in cash from him, she just thinks it's one record and she can help Jess out."
How does Lloyd find out what she's done?
"He finds out because Andrea leaves her phone on the table in the pub when she goes to the toilet. While she's in there the guy she's sold the record to rings up. Lloyd takes the call and he's horrified. He says, 'I can't believe you've done this to me, you've lied again and stolen from me, that's it'. He's very angry."
Andrea packs up and makes to leave the street. why does she decide to leave?
"Andrea realises what she's done IS wrong and she knows he'll never forgive her for it so she decides to leave, thinking it's the best thing all round."
Could this be the end of their relationship?
"Andrea knows pretty quickly that he's not going to forgive her for this. She thinks he'll just dump her anyway because she's lied again, so she may as well pack and leave. He can't believe she's prepared to just go and not talk about it."
Do you think Lloyd will let her go?
"The state he's in and the way she feels, he might not have a choice. She just doesn't think he'll ever forgive her so there's not really another option for her. Lloyd needs to give her the option to stay."
If they do manage to patch things up, has the relationship been permanently damaged because of what she's done?
"I think they could get back on track - they've crossed enough hurdles so far. This is another stupid error on her part, she should have just been honest with him. But if he loves her, and I think he does, then maybe he can forgive her."
Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon has a cheeky plan for the soap's live episode - refuse to leave the cobbles so she can stay in the show.
The actress made the light-hearted threat on ITV's Good Morning Britain today (August 10) as she discussed her involvement in the upcoming special broadcast.
One of the storylines planned for Corrie's live episode will see Tamaddon's character Andrea Beckett leave the Street with her partner Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles).
The character of Andrea has been written out by show bosses and Tamaddon has made no secret of the fact that she'd love to stay.
Speaking today, the actress laughed: "I leave during the live episode, which is really exciting. I've got a few weeks off now because I've filmed all my things right the way up until the live episode, because we're a few weeks in advance.
"What I thought I might do is that when I go to leave, when Lloyd says, 'Come on babe, let's go', I might just go, 'You know what? I don't think I will!' I think I might just go back in The Rovers and have a drink! Can you imagine?"
Addressing her Corrie bosses, she added: "I won't do it, I promise!"
Lloyd is exiting the Street as Craig Charles has decided to concentrate on two new series of Red Dwarf, which will see him reprise his role as Dave Lister.
Tamaddon added: "Me and Craig are leaving together and hopefully one day they might bring us back together. I am so in love with Corrie, it's just an amazing job."
Coronation Street will air the live broadcast on Wednesday, September 23.
Always a shame when an actor is taken out as collateral damage when someone else decides to leave.
Michelle and Steve must be Blackburn's favourite couple. With his record for affair storylines, surely they could have kept her on and put her with Steve.

I know what you mean, but personally I can't say I'm sorry to see Andrea leaving. I don't think she brings much to the show.

She doesn't add much to the show, but there are characters I would love to see the back of before Andrea. It also seems unfair in that it seems to be one rule for one and another for another. Jason, for instance, doesn't seem to do anything much either but seems immune from a cull because he's Eileen's son. Andrea hasn't been developed outside of being Steve's friend and Lloyd's girlfriend and if she had, it may have saved her.
Really apalling what she did. Lloyd better off without her as she lied and covered up re marriage at the beginning as well.

Hayley Tamaddon has revealed that her character Andrea Beckett will feel "shocked and confused" after discovering she is pregnant.
Upcoming scenes will see Andrea learn that she is having her ex-partner Lloyd Mullaney's baby, but will then be left wondering how to break the news to him.
Andrea's worried are escalated when she learns about Lloyd's new relationship with Liz McDonald. Although Lloyd's true feelings lie with Andrea, he feels obliged to stay with Liz following their one-night stand due to his loyalty to his best friend Steve.
As Liz relishes in her new romance next week, Lloyd is forced to act relieved when Eileen confirms that Andrea's moved out of No.11, Lloyd tries to look relieved.
However, Eileen is later stunned when Andrea turns up on her doorstep in tears, revealing she's pregnant with Lloyd's child.
Tamaddon said: "Andrea is very shocked and confused. Because of everything that has happened with Lloyd she feels incredibly alone."
"This was not on her radar at all. I think she was just so happy being with Lloyd and she felt so happy in their relationship.
"Her daughter is grown up now so she's not had a baby for a long time! I do think she really wanted to marry Lloyd though."
Although Andrea initially swears Eileen to secrecy over the pregnancy, her secret looks set to come out when Michael finds the pregnancy test and believes it to be Eileen's.
Tamaddon said: "Andrea knows Lloyd would make a great dad, that's not the issue. He was amazing with Jenna and she knows that together they would make great parents. She's just got to convince him to take her back.
"Andrea says to him that he's with with Liz now and this prevents her from telling him about the baby straight away - there is another obstacle in their way and she worries how he will react.
"I think she thinks she's lost Lloyd to Liz, but she doesn't give up hope and trying. When she eventually talks to Lloyd, there are a lot of tears."
