Sounds like another boring week on emmerdale apart from cameron story.though dont know why the producer has wrote it this way with him escaping out of a prison van and it looks like he planned the escape? Hmm not sure a serial killer would be transferred in a van without some police escort? surely it would of been better if he had just evaded caputure then came back for revenge. not liking this new producer she seems to like all the boring characters ruby/ali paddy/rhona marlon/laurel not to mention priya don etc i would like to see more cain

it is farcical??!! firstly that he escapes!!

then that the ambushers give him a passport??

and then that he gets back to the village undetected and gets hold of a gun!!

not liking this at all, it is way OTT now

Coming up in Emmerdale, there's more drama ahead in the Spencer household when Ruby Haswell's mother Lindy pays a visit to the village.

Ruby (Alicya Eyo) isn't pleased to see her mum as she has never been honest with her about her sexuality and relationship with Ali.

Ruby's initial plan is to keep Lindy as far away from the Spencers as possible, but Ali (Kelli Hollis) later learns of her secretive behaviour and is shocked to realise the reason behind it.

Ali soon urges Ruby to tell Lindy (Nimmy March) the truth, so they agree to invite her round and tell her everything.

Once Lindy arrives, the atmosphere is awkward as she asks questions about Ali and the kids, wondering if she and Ruby are lodgers. Will Ruby be able to go through with finally telling her mother that she and Ali are a couple?

Dear Emmerdale producers

If you have any compassion and love for your shows fans at all you will make Priya the one who is shot.

Please please, pretty please - I beg you!! :wall:

Monday

Against Zak's orders, Sarah sneaks out to find Andy. The rain lashes down as she sets off after a figure she assumes is her dad. However, Sarah is shocked to see a dishevelled Cameron and tries to run. He stops her, suggesting they find Debbie together. Sarah reluctantly agrees and Cameron can't believe his luck.

Soon afterwards, Zak and Moira despair when they learn that Andy hasn't seen Sarah. All bad feelings are forgotten between Debbie and Chas when a guilty Zak confesses that Sarah is missing. They alert the police and Debbie voices her darkest fears that Cameron has come back for them.

At the same time, Cameron smilingly asks Sarah if she wants to play a game. She just needs to close her eyes, start counting and keep counting until he comes back with Debbie and Jack. Later in the barn, Sarah's eyes are tight shut as she tires of counting. Opening her eyes, she calls out for Cameron, but he's not there anymore. Sarah tries to open the barn door but it's locked. Sarah is alone and scared.

Putting the next stage of his plan into action, Cameron sneaks into the Dingle van and his face lights up when he discovers Zak's gun and cartridges. He takes both with purpose - what's he going to do next?

Meanwhile, Ali apologises to Ruby and suggests they clear the air with Lindy. She reluctantly agrees, dreading the idea. Ruby is nervous as she waits for Lindy, not wanting to go through with telling her. They hear her taxi pull up and Ali assures her that they're in this together, but she's put out when Ruby pulls away from her. It's awkward as Lindy asks about Ali and the kids, wondering if she and Ruby are lodgers. Will Ruby be able to go through with finally telling her mother that she and Ali are a couple?

Elsewhere, Megan is frustrated that Debbie has not upped her offer on Mulberry. Declan returns home early, wanting good news, but is angered by Debbie's measly offer. He then checks on the Butler's sale, telling Megan to leave him to deal with Moira.

Also today, Alicia is awkward and David delighted when Priya suggests Jacob be an usher.

Tuesday

Sarah is alone and scared, while Debbie is distraught and convinced that Cameron has her. In lashing rain, Cameron enters the village unseen, breaks the window of Tug Ghyll and gets some car keys. However, he is thwarted when a police officer exits the pub.

Soon afterwards, Andy and Moira are relieved to find Sarah alone and unharmed. Andy questions what happened and everyone's relief is momentary when she tells them about Cameron. Debbie despairs that he's coming for her and Andy tells her to stay at the pub. Sharing Debbie's horror, Chas bolts the door.

Cameron arrives in The Woolpack.
At the same time, a disguised Cameron gets PC Harrison to follow him. It's not long before Chas is in the cellar changing a barrel, and she is unaware of Cameron lurking in the shadows. Marlon is coming out of the pub kitchen when he's stopped in his tracks to see Cameron having just emerged from the cellar. Before a stunned Marlon has chance to meaningfully react, Cameron slams the butt of the shotgun against him, sending him staggering back through the cellar door.

Tumbling down the cellar stairs, Marlon lands in the water, unconscious. Cameron then locks the door and heads to the bar. Debbie is desperate and tries to leave but is horrified when Cameron appears, telling Zak and Chas to get off her as he's come back for her…

Meanwhile, Lindy tells a shocked Ruby that she'll give her the money for the baby if she does it without Ali. Sean finds Ruby with a bag, saying that she's staying with a mate for a while. He tells her that she can't just leave. Ruby is stunned by how much he cares, but will he be able to convince her to stay?

Elsewhere, Alicia admits to David that she's not going to his wedding and doesn't feel the same way about Dom as he does for her. They don't notice the body of the policeman lying on the ground.

Also today, Declan apologises to Megan and tells her she's the only one he can trust.

Wednesday

Hour-long episode

Diane looks from the window of The Woolpack.
Cameron tells Debbie to go with him, but she screams that she hates him. PC Barnes then bangs on the door and Cameron pushes everyone into a corner, levelling his gun. Alicia, Bernice, Chas, Dan, David, Debbie, Diane, Jack, Nicola, Priya, Ruby and Zak are the villagers in the pub. Cameron puts his finger on his lips, gesturing to keep quiet as they hear a knock on the door.

Diane then appears in the window terrified. She tells Cameron about the police outside, but starts to shout to them, saying he has a gun. Cameron immediately pushes Diane away and tells everyone to shut up so he can think. He insists to Debbie they just need to be together.

Everyone panics as a gun shot is fired.
Suddenly, Zak snaps and closes in on Cameron, who starts to pull the trigger. Chas grabs a chair and hits Cameron. Everyone is terrified as a gunshot echoes around the village. As the gunshot echo fades, everyone is horrified to realise that a much-loved member of the village has been shot and seriously injured…

Meanwhile, Barnes runs to PC Harrison, trying to get a response out of him. He radios for help, explaining that the officer is still alive but needs a doctor. The paramedics rush to Harrison. Lisa and Andy panic as Shields radios for armed response. Andy is frustrated that the police don't seem to be doing anything and ignores their warning, running towards the pub and shouting to Cameron. However, the police drag him away. It's chaos as the armed response form into positions and a cuffed Andy is thrown into the van.

Elsewhere, the village fills with response officers and emergency services. The police inform the villagers that they will have to find alternative emergency accommodation. The villagers are aghast to realise this could go on through the night. An arriving Declan surprises everyone when he offers to let everyone stay at Home Farm. Lots of the villagers set off for Home Farm, but a few stay outside in the rain desperately hoping their loved ones in the pub are okay.

Also, in the pub cellar, Marlon is slumped against a barrel unconscious as the rainwater, pooling on the floor, steadily rises…

Thursday

In hospital, the injured villager's heart monitor goes crazy and they begin to flatline. The crash team rush in and start to give CPR...

Meanwhile, Cameron aims the gun at another and pulls the trigger twice, but the gun is empty. He fends the group off as they try to advance on him, but he quickly regains control. The hostages are terrified, with no idea of what to expect next. When the police call, a newly-confident Cameron is pleased that the hostages are starting to realise he's serious, so he hangs up when they don't tell him what he wants to hear.

Down in the cellar below The Woolpack, Marlon lies unconscious as the water continues to trickle in. Marlon stirs and realises that time is running out as the crack in the wall widens and the water floods through much quicker. Marlon looks through the keyhole, listening as Cameron tells the police to call back later. Marlon attempts to open the hatch to no avail. He realises that the crack has widened and the water is now gushing in. Marlon is close to panic when he can't find a way out of the water-filled cellar.

Elsewhere, the villagers are at Home Farm, preparing to bunk down for the night. As Ashley rallies with tea, Declan comes off the phone with Sam and regretfully explains there's no news on the hostages and Marlon is still unaccounted for. Laurel can't bear it and despite Ashley's protests that she shouldn't go back out into the rain, she insists she's going back down to the police line to wait for news. She knows something must have happened to Marlon or he would have called her.

Also, Moira tips up at Home Farm with some emergency food. Declan is cautious and dryly wonders if she's laced them with arsenic. Not rising, Moira points out that it's not the time or place for petty hostility. As Megan calms things, Declan apologises and stuns them by inviting Moira to stay for some food. She's right - this is a time to put their differences aside. Moira flashes Megan a look and wryly quips that maybe Declan has half a heart after all.

Cameron is manic. Outside, Marlon hears Cameron shouting his ultimatums and smashes a crate of glasses to create a distraction. Having heard the noise, one of them tries to convince Cameron that it's the police - he should hand the gun over before they arrive. Cameron makes another hostage go and investigate, telling them to hurry - or else.

Before long they return and explain the noise was only bottles smashing as the cellar is flooded. Cameron is almost regretful as he tells them how Marlon was in the cellar, implying that he will now be dead. With the floodwaters rising fast, things go from bad to worse quickly. Soon terrifying events unfold as the remaining hostages fight for their lives....

Meanwhile, outside, armed police are about to storm the pub. All are horrified to hear the water and see the lights go out in the bar. The Tactical Commander tells everyone to hold their positions.

Elsewhere, whilst in the hospital, it's still touch and go for the seriously-injured villager.

Also, Cain flicks through foreign TV channels and stops on the news, which is covering the siege. He grabs his things and hurtles out the door.

Friday

As the rain and flood waters subside, emergency services gain access to the pub.

At the hospital, the shot villager is taken back into surgery with their life still at risk.

Meanwhile, clear-up work begins down at David's shop and the church, which have both been flooded.

Elsewhere, Amy initially takes hope from Joanie's compassion regarding the siege, but is still wary. Joanie suggests they chat away from Kyle. Amy agrees, happy to at least get a chance to talk. However, Joanie is exasperated by Amy's determination to get Kyle back and tells her that she has no hope - Kyle is legally hers.

Emmerdale star Charley Webb has said that she believes next week's episodes of the soap are better than the live show last year.

The actress's character Debbie Dingle will be at the centre of huge scenes next week as Cameron creates a terrifying hostage situation at The Woolpack in a desperate attempt to win her back.

The dramatic week ties in with the anniversary of the show's live episode last October.

Speaking at an Emmerdale press conference yesterday (October 10), Webb said: "I have to say that personally I think this tops the live episode.

"I thought the live episode was amazing and everyone did so well but I hope we get more viewers to watch this than we did to watch the live.

"I just think that everybody who has been involved in this has worked so hard and it has been such a team. I just think it is amazing. There are some amazing performances and I think it is better than the live."

Webb also revealed that she struggled with some of the stunt training for the episodes, in which she was required to hold her breath under water.

She explained: "It was really frustrating because I just couldn't get the hang of it and it was annoying.

"I think the more frustrated I was getting, the more I couldn't do it. It is like learning to drive. Until you drive, you can't drive, if you know what I mean."

not liking this new producer she seems to like all the boring characters ruby/ali paddy/rhona marlon/laurel not to mention priya don etc i would like to see more cain

I agree - can't help thinking she's going to turn it into another miserable Eastenders where no-one ever laughs or even smiles. She needs to inject some humour - and not have everyone suffering all gloom and doom.

Dear Emmerdale producers

If you have any compassion and love for your shows fans at all you will make Priya the one who is shot.

Please please, pretty please - I beg you!! :wall:

Yours

Emmerdale bosses have released brand new spoiler pictures previewing the shock hostage drama in tonight's hour-long episode (October 16).

The ITV soap airs tense scenes this evening as serial killer Cameron Murray threatens a number of the villagers with a shotgun at The Woolpack after Debbie Dingle refuses to run away with him.

Viewers will see the situation quickly spiral out of control as landlady Diane Sugden tries to get a message to the police by shouting through one of the windows.

After violently pushing Diane away, Cameron (Dominic Power) insists to Debbie that they need to be together, as it's the only way he'll let anyone go.

Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) finally snaps and closes in on Cameron, but the attempt to overpower him goes badly wrong as Cameron starts to pull the trigger.

After the gun is fired, everyone is terrified to realise that a much-loved member of the village has been shot and seriously injured. His or her identity won't be revealed until the episode airs tonight.

At the same time, down in the pub cellar, Marlon Dingle is slumped unconscious as the rainwater pools on the floor and steadily rises...

When Chas (Lucy Pargeter) becomes trapped, Debbie is forced to swim down to try to release her. However, with killer Cameron Murray still armed and dangerous, it remains to be seen whether they can both escape his clutches.

As the situation escalates, Debbie (Charley Webb) struggles to get away but Cameron looms large behind her and silences her screams. Is Cameron about to take his fourth victim?

As previously reported, Emmerdale's cast and crew filmed these scenes on the underwater stage at Pinewood Studios.

I did! I told my mom I thought Alicia will get shot because the day before she finally tells David how she feels, so I thought that was a coincidence and that it meant with Alicia being shot it would finally make him realise how much he loved her.

I phoned my mom during the break after it happened and shouted down the phone "I TOLD you!!" Ha ha

Emmerdale star Mark Charnock has praised tonight's dramatic double bill, promising that the episodes are even better than yesterday's hour-long special.

Over 8 million viewers watched on Wednesday (October 16) as Alicia Harding was shot during the ongoing hostage situation at The Woolpack.

Speaking on ITV's This Morning today, Charnock - who plays Marlon Dingle - promised that fans have yet to see the best of the storyline.

He explained: "Obviously I can't give away too much about tonight, but everybody's in danger. The audience thought last night was amazing - I promise you, tonight surpasses it. It's unbelievable."

Marlon, Chas and Debbie Dingle are now the three remaining characters still in the pub with killer Cameron Murray. Tonight sees all of them in terrible danger as flood waters continue to rise in The Woolpack's cellar.

Charnock continued: "All I can say is that everybody might not be okay - everybody who's involved in that story. Anything could happen tonight.

"He's a lunatic with a gun on the loose. Anything could happen. The water levels are flooding. People are going to come down to the cellar - how are they going to survive down there? It's nuts and it's brilliant.

"A group of people who made it watched it, knowing what was happening in the script - and having already seen it - and they were on the edge of their seats. These are the people who made it.

"Honestly, Emmerdale's never been in this area before. It's a new dimension. If people haven't tried Emmerdale, they should definitely try it tonight because it will blow their minds."

Tonight's episode was just epic. That has to be one of the best episodes I've seen of Emmerdale.

I sky+'d it as I was out, but managed to watch it anyway when I got back and it was so good I watched the Sky+ version when I got home aswell and I was STILL on the edge of my seat despite knowing what happened because I'd already seen it!

Awesome episode!

Emmerdale star Dominic Power has paid tribute to the soap's cast and crew following his final episode.

The actor's villainous character Cameron Murray was killed off this evening (October 17) in some of the most ambitious scenes of the show's history.

Fans saw Cameron get electrocuted in The Woolpack's flooding cellar as the water levels reached deadly heights.

His remaining hostages Chas, Debbie and Marlon Dingle all managed to escape unharmed.

The storyline conclusion marked a comeuppance for Cameron, who had claimed the lives of Carl King, Alex Moss and Gennie Sharma in a long-running serial killer storyline.

Speaking to itv.com about his exit, Power commented: "What will I miss the most about Emmerdale? The people. The amount of time you spend - under sometimes quite stressful situations - with people, you do form a real bond. You form a real closeness and then when you realise that's coming to an end… absolutely I'm going to miss everyone."

Meanwhile, discussing his fondest memories, the actor recalled: "There's the big moments. There's the killings that I've done, but they're not necessarily the favourites.

"The favourite moments are when you're on set with your buddies and you're just having a laugh. They're your favourite moments at work, like anyone's day at work. It's probably the stuff the audience aren't going to see."

Power also took to his Twitter page to mark the end of his time with Emmerdale.

Power joined Emmerdale in December 2010 after a previous regular role as Leon Taylor on ITV's The Bill. Cameron's killings and his love triangle with Chas and Debbie have provided some of the soap's most memorable moments of the past 18 months.

Tomorrow's episode (October 18) is expected to focus on the fate of Alicia Harding, who is still in a critical condition in hospital after being shot during the hostage situation at the pub.

Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson has said that her character Alicia Harding's life hangs in the balance.

Fans will know that Alica was hit by a stray bullet earlier in the week as Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) held a number of villagers hostage at The Woolpack.

Speaking on ITV's Daybreak this morning, Harding said: "She's not in a good way. She's basically hanging in the balance still. She's on a ventilator so she's not breathing by herself.

"She's in a really bad way still, so even though yesterday we got her out of there, it's still touch and go."

Viewers saw Cameron get killed off last night as he was electrocuted in The Woolpack's flooding cellar. The storyline conclusion came after some of the most dramatic scenes in the show's history.

Harding said: "Last night's episode was incredible. I was actually sat at the end crying my eyes out, going, 'I'm in this, it's amazing!'

"The Pinewood stuff was done in five days and the siege was done in three, so altogether it was done in about a week. But we did that on a soap schedule, we didn't do it on a movie schedule.

"It was put together and we were doing ten scenes a day. There was no allowance for mucking up. It was all done on a proper soap schedule, it was really tough."

"Dominic was just fantastic. The three days we were in The Woolpack, you just didn't know what he was going to do. He was so unpredictable. The gun was huge and I was looking at it thinking, 'That's got to come near me at some point!' It's a bit scary!"

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.

For all the silly things , like his escape and shooting , she's should be dead - point blank from a double barreled shotgun - and before the 3 went into the cellar Marlon has the gun Cameron has the other end holding right into his middle and the gun goes off and misses .. But all that said I thought it was well done, and the bow to Apocalypse Now when Cameron's head comes up out the water behind Debbie.
