Over on Hollyoaks, there are big episodes ahead for Ste Hay and his loved ones as he appears in court for killing his mum Pauline.

Viewers know that Ste (Kieron Richardson) helped terminally ill Pauline to die earlier this year after she begged him to end her suffering.

As the court case looms, Doug Carter and Danny Lomax are both concerned to see that Ste has already resigned himself to going to prison.

When an envelope of cash from Ste's father later arrives on his doorstep, he refuses to take a penny even though he can't afford a lawyer.

Doug (PJ Brennan) also tries to help by arranging for Leah and Lucas to pay a visit, believing that this will inspire Ste to put up a proper fight. Unfortunately, Ste's attitude doesn't change and he storms off to the court.

Later, a fearful Doug watches on as Ste pleads guilty in the courtroom. Facing the judge, he then explains exactly why he killed his mum - but will his words make any difference?

Back in the village, Leanne Holiday is looking after Leah and Lucas while the court proceedings are under way. Unfortunately, hapless Leanne makes a big mistake when she lets Leah overhear her talking about what Ste did.

A distraught Leah runs away after learning that Ste has taken a life, and when Doug finally manages to track her down, there's horror ahead as she is in trouble at the top of some scaffolding…

Life gets a whole lot more complicated for Danny Lomax on Hollyoaks next week as he stumbles across the body of DS Trent.

Fans know that Trent was murdered by evil Trevor Royle in the summer, before Freddie Roscoe was given the task of concealing the body.

Danny (Stephen Billington) and his boyfriend John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) find Trent's remains while out in the woods looking for Ste's daughter Leah, who has done a disappearing act.

Busy searching for the youngster, the couple are shocked to notice DS Trent's hand emerging from under the earth…

The grisly discovery is clearly bad news for Trevor and his boss Fraser Black, but it also has an unexpected consequence for Danny himself as his wife Sam starts working at the local police station to investigate Trent's murder.

Part of Danny is pleased when Sam (Lizzie Roper) and their youngest daughter Peri (Ruby O'Donnell) move into the village, but deep down he's fearful as he knows that his secret life with John Paul is under threat. Is the truth about to come out?
