Monday
Michael continues to wind Alfie up about Roxy's betrayal, which prompts him to pay a visit to Ronnie. Alfie asks Ronnie to tell him the truth about how often she and Roxy have seen each other. However, Ronnie enrages Alfie further by stating that although she is sorry for the past, he'll have to get used to her being around as she is family.
Later, Roxy is horrified when she receives a text from Ronnie on her mobile which reveals that Alfie knows about their secret meetings. Suddenly, a furious Alfie is packing a suitcase for Roxy at the pub. Devastated, Roxy urges him to stop and promises that she'll never see Ronnie again. In the end, Alfie shows some sympathy for Roxy and explains that he won't leave her, but he wants them to leave Walford together until they're back on track. That night, Roxy and Alfie leave the Square in a cab.
Dexter admits he is scared about the operation.
Meanwhile, Dexter and Sam are informed that the transplant operation will be taking place in three weeks' time. Dexter tries to remain casual about the operation, but it's clear that he is starting to become worried. That evening, Dexter throws Jay a birthday party at his house. While at the gathering, Dexter mixes his drinks and gets increasingly drunk. Unhappy to see Lola and Peter becoming close, Dexter leans in to kiss Lola himself, but she pushes him away. Humiliated and upset, Dexter eventually admits to Abi that he's terrified about the operation.
Elsewhere, David manipulates Janine by talking to her about family and how Pat would be proud of her. Finally relenting, Janine offers him a £500 loan - which she wants back with interest within a week.
Also today, Phil continues to oppose Ronnie's decision to move in with Jack.
Tuesday
Janine is exhausted and baby Scarlett's bad mood isn't making life any easier. She brings Scarlett into work, but soon finds herself stressed and walks out, leaving Danny to remind her to take her baby with her. Janine then takes the afternoon off and when Alice tells Michael that Scarlett is unwell, he is agitated that he wasn't informed sooner.
Later, Janine tries to fight off sleep as she slumps down on a bench by the duck pond with Scarlett. As Janine's eyes close, Scarlett walks towards the pond. Janine jerks awake soon afterwards, but Michael has already seen Scarlett at the edge of the pond and he scoops her back to safety. Back at home, Michael warns Janine that she has played right into his hands - after what happened today, he's sure that he'll gain full custody of Scarlett.
Ava returns home to see Sam struggling for breath.
Meanwhile, Dexter feels guilty as he continues to have doubts about the operation. Abi advises Dexter to tell Sam how scared he is and how he wants to wait longer to make a decision. However, Dexter is soon horrified to see Sam being taken away in an ambulance which has been called by Ava, as Sam is struggling for breath. At the hospital, Ava tells Dexter that the hospital have agreed to move the operation to tomorrow…

Unable to take any more, Dexter admits that he can't go through with the transplant and rushes off. At the same time, Cora returns from visiting Tanya and is shocked to hear of recent events on the Square, including Max's arrest. When Cora hears about the planned operaton, she rushes off to the hospital and confronts Ava and Sam. As Cora doesn't approve of Dexter giving up a kidney, she finds herself going head-to-head with Ava.
At the same time, Dexter is busy confiding in Patrick about his fears, wondering how Ava would cope if anything happened to him. Patrick advises Dexter to speak to his mum, so he finally returns to the hospital. Ava and Cora are still arguing there, but Dexter interrupts by making the decision to go through with the transplant.

Michael agrees, but a scheming Janine later drops a bombshell on him - vowing that she is going to change Scarlett's surname to Butcher. As Janine pushes Michael too far, he retaliates by grabbing her by the throat and warning that he'll win this war. Michael's trip tightens until a terrified Janine apologises.
Elsewhere, Lucy's wages and responsibilities are increased at Butcher's Joints. She'll now be in competition with Danny as they'll be working for commission. Lucy is smug about her chances of success, but she's soon left fuming when Danny plays dirty.

As a frightened Janine hides inside her house, Michael plays the waiting game by sitting on her doorstep. Janine is eventually forced to leave the house when she runs out of nappies, and Michael wastes no time before warning her to revoke the injunction. When Michael threatens her again, Janine announces to everyone that Michael tried to strangle her and vows to have him arrested if he continues harassing her. Michael is humiliated, but he is already planning his next move.
Later, Alice is shocked when Michael admits that he wishes he had finished Janine off. A startled Alice quickly goes to pack a bag, telling Michael that she's going to stay with Tamwar. When Michael begs Alice to stay, what will she decide?
