EastEnders fans can expect more trouble for Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell next month as their secret meetings look set to be exposed.

Roxy's fiancé Alfie Moon has recently banned her from spending time with Ronnie (Samantha Womack), but that hasn't stopped her from doing so without his knowledge.

Although Roxy (Rita Simons) feels bad for lying to Alfie, she is unable to give up on her sibling.

As the deception continues next month, Roxy texts her sister to meet up again, but Ronnie mistakenly believes that she means straight away. Ronnie then arrives at The Vic, and much to Roxy's horror, it's just as Alfie is returning from a trip out.

Ronnie is soon forced to hide in an upstairs bedroom to avoid being spotted by Alfie, and when the coast is clear, Roxy tries to get her out of the pub. Unfortunately, somebody has seen them. Is the truth about to come out?

Masood confronts David.
Later, Carol and Masood have lunch together, and David can't resist listening in to their conversation. As Carol promises Masood that David won't come between them, there is suddenly a crash from upstairs. Carol rushes up to find that David has 'accidentally' dropped his lunch on the floor and cut his hand on broken glass. As Carol cleans David's hand, it's clear there is still a spark between them. As the day continues, an insecure Masood confronts David, telling him to let him and Carol get on with their lives. However, David warns Masood that Carol has a habit of falling in love with him...

Taking Poppy's advice, Alice invites Tamwar back to her place.

Elsewhere, Dot tells Carol that she is handing in her resignation as the church warden, feeling that she has taken on too much. When Carol hears of Dot's row with Sharon, Carol talks Sharon round. Tuesday

David mentions that he might leave Walford to stay with some friends, but he doesn't get the response he was hoping for as Carol agrees it's a good idea. Although Morgan and Tiffany are sad over the news, Liam and Whitney couldn't care less over seeing David going. Carol offers David some money to tide him over but he refuses, still hoping that she will change her mind about him leaving.

Later, David is annoyed further when Whitney and Liam come home relaying gossip from Peter, who has filled them in on David's feud with Ian. As a stung David prepares to leave, he tells Carol that he wishes he was a better father and granddad. Carol is touched by his genuine regret, especially when she hears him tell Liam that he is doing a better job at looking after the family than he ever could. Just as David is leaving, Carol calls after him and asks him to stay until Bianca is home from her course. David smiles to himself - he's got exactly what he wanted.

Poppy runs off in tears and soon shocks Fatboy by ending their romance for good.

Also today, Peter is intrigued as Dot and Sharon warn him not to trust David.

When Masood arrives, David senses their closeness and comes up with a plan to show that he knows Carol better than anyone. David makes Masood think that he should go all out to celebrate Carol's birthday, secretly knowing that she wouldn't want a fuss. As a result, Masood starts to plan a party.

Later, as the celebration gets under way, Carol is clearly struggling with being the centre of attention. Masood realises that David has been manipulating him, but will Carol see through it?

In the end, David suggests that Jay should leave to keep the peace. Ronnie isn't impressed with Phil's behaviour, telling him that he doesn't need to throw his weight around. However, Phil warns Ronnie and Jay that he wants to see some family loyalty.

Elsewhere, David can see that Liam has a crush on somebody, so he decides to give him some tips on success with the ladies. However, soon afterwards, David is taken aback when he learns who Cindy is. David then tries his luck at the car lot by bonding with Joey over their mutual hatred of Derek, but Jack intervenes by sending him away. David Wicks continues his attempts to get back in Carol Jackson's good books in EastEnders tonight (October 1).

Keen to make Carol realise just how much she cares for him, David (Michael French) threatens to leave Walford again to stay with some friends.

To David's dismay, Carol (Lindsey Coulson) admits that it might be a good idea, so he spends the rest of the day subtly trying to change her mind.

Just as a downbeat David is leaving, Carol seems ready to have a change of heart - but is it because she still has feelings for him?

EastEnders airs tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
