Emmerdale killer Cameron Murray resorts to desperate measures to avoid being arrested for the murder of Alex Moss.

Cameron (Dominic Power) is panicking after the discovery of Alex's remains, and knows that he needs to find a way to ensure that somebody else is blamed for the dark crime.

Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) soon becomes the unlucky villager who is lined up as a fall guy by Cameron.

A tough time for Adam begins when Cameron starts receiving mysterious blackmail texts, which leave him panicking that somebody knows his secrets.

The messages are being sent by Sean and Amelia Spencer as a prank, but Cameron jumps to the wrong conclusion that Adam is the culprit.

When Cameron questions him about the texts, he quickly realises that Adam is not his blackmailer. However, Cameron is left stung when Adam tells him that he's not right in the head, and privately decides to get some serious revenge on him.

The next day, Cameron's meddling causes Adam to punch Declan Macey (Jason Merrells) in full view of the police, and Adam is promptly arrested.

However, as Cameron continues to plant seeds linking Adam to Alex's murder, the farmer finds himself under investigation for something far more serious than assault…

Rhona says a tearful goodbye to Leo before heading to the drug clinic.

With Paddy seeming both dubious and impatient about her treatment plan, Rhona worries that he is getting cold feet and promptly decides that she would rather give up herself with the support of her husband. But will this daunting prospect be all too much for the pair?

Meanwhile, Cameron attempts to hide his fear in front of Debbie when he receives another text from his blackmailer. Moments later when he finds Adam at the garage on his phone, his suspicions are immediately aroused. Later in the pub when Adam flashes some cash, Cameron is quick to confront him...

Elsewhere, Nicola earwigs when Megan suggests to Declan that he should sell his other properties in the village in order to keep his own. Declan is dismissive of her cold-hearted idea. Later, he is angered when a smug Steve offers to buy Home Farm from him, having been tipped off by Nicola. Will this make Declan reconsider? And how will Declan deal with an indiscreet Nicola?

Also today, Sandy is suspicious when Sean tells him that Pollard refused to take his money for the medals, especially when Pollard fails to back up his story.

Tuesday

The villagers are enraged to wake up to find 'for sale' boards outside their houses. As Alicia uneasily suggests that Declan must be desperate and have a serious cash flow problem, Steve takes pleasure in stirring the situation further, explaining that he offered to buy Home Farm but Declan turned him down flat.

The villagers are in shock, believing they are all getting chucked out so he can stay in his big mansion. They will no doubt have something to say on the matter. At the same time, Declan grimly considers the one debt he did not want to have to call in...

Meanwhile, Paddy tries to keep the mood light whilst Rhona is in obvious pain. At the same time, Vanessa worries that Paddy does not know what he has taken on. Later, Rhona encourages a torn Paddy to go and treat Alfie, who has eaten rat poison, insisting she will be fine. Paddy relents but forgets his vet's bag. Rhona is clearly tempted by what might be in the bag. When Paddy returns, he is rocked by the state she is in...

Elsewhere, when Cameron questions Adam about the money, he realises that Adam is not his blackmailer. But Cameron is left stung when Adam tells him that he is not right in the head, and later, Cameron sets to get serious revenge on him...

Also today, Amy tells a sceptical Victoria that she thinks she needs to see Kyle one more time to get him out of her system.

Finally, Steve tells Nicola to go to him if she needs anything and is encouraged by her teasing.

Wednesday

Cameron's meddling causes Adam to punch Declan in full view of the police and Adam is promptly arrested.

As Cameron continues to plant seeds linking Adam to Alex's murder, will the farmer be investigated about something far more serious than assault?

Meanwhile, with Rhona in crippling pain, she lashes out at Paddy as he attempts to help her. Rhona then begs him for drugs. With the pair clearly at a loss, will Paddy relent?

Elsewhere, Amy watches Kyle and his grandma Joanie as they arrive for playgroup, but is put out when a member of staff ruins her chance to see him for longer.

Thursday

Adam is scared and confused, telling the police they have got it all wrong. At the same time, Moira is shocked to learn that Adam has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She is thrown when she is questioned over Adam's friendship with Alex, and then about her own relationship with Alex.

Doubts begin to set in for Moira about her son, especially when the police find some evidence in Sparrow Wood. Adam is unnerved as it hits him hard that someone is setting him up. At the same time, Cameron hears that Adam has been arrested and is pleased that his plan is working…

Meanwhile, Amy offers to look after Jack for Andy, and after a few lies takes Jack along to Kyle's toddler group. Amy is nervous and out of her comfort zone but soon gets talking to Joanie. Amy is floored when Joanie recognises her - how can she explain herself and her actions?

Elsewhere, Kerry wants to put a potential house buyer off and makes the house a mess - but will it work?

Also, Rhona suggests bringing back Vanessa rather than let the business suffer, and it's Angelica's first day at school.

Adam pleads his innocence but it falls on deaf ears, and his sudden arrest is the talk of The Woolpack. Finally he is released on bail but is still worried to know he remains in the frame. Adam is hurt that even his mother doubts his innocence.

Later, Adam heads to find his gloves, but worryingly can only find one. Will his mother believe his protestations?

Meanwhile, Amy flounders as she faces up to a curious Joanie. She fudges a reason as to why she is there. Amy then enjoys spending some time with Kyle and Joanie. When Amy is handed her son, it's obvious the connection is there. Later, Victoria warns Amy that she is playing a dangerous game, but can Amy keep away now?

Elsewhere, Nicola begs Declan for her job back, but will he give it to her?

Also, Amelia steps up her tormenting of Cameron when she texts him another demand, and Paddy asks Vanessa to come back to the surgery but she is non-committal.

Friday

Adam is certain that it was Declan who set him up and Cain confronts Declan over it. However, Cain soon realises that Declan is not the culprit. Soon afterwards, Moira is alarmed when the police arrive to search the farm. They are looking for more evidence and Adam is terrified, desperate to escape.

With Moira outside, Cain distracts the police and Adam makes a break for it. When the police realise Adam has fled the scene, it only confounds their suspicions he is guilty, and his actions put Cain in hot water…

Meanwhile, Amelia bunks off school, pretending to Sean that she is ill. At the same time, a paranoid Cameron leaves the envelope at the agreed drop before he casually walks away. Cameron then lies in wait to find out who has been blackmailing him. Amelia is terrified when Cameron catches her red-handed and he is soon demanding answers from her and her brother over what they know.

Elsewhere, Amy lies to Victoria in order to return to Kyle. Amy turns up outside Joanie's house, but is caught red-handed by her. Joanie is confused so Amy lies that she has accidentally lost one of Jack's toys. Amy is soon helping Joanie in with her bags but when Amy makes an offer, Joanie is suspicious. Has Amy gone too far in her quest to see Kyle?

Also, Declan breaths a sigh of relief now that Adam is in the frame for the murder. Afterwards, Declan is keen to start rebuilding his empire.

Finally, Paddy opens up to Chas about his worries, while Nicola is desperate without having any work to bring money in - can Steve solve her problems?
